- Gary Anderson became the seventh man to lift the World Darts Championship trophy as he beat Phil Taylor in this absolute epic final.
From 3-1 up, Taylor recovers to lead 4-3. The match then goes all the way to 6-6, before Anderson shows the grit to clinch the title.
The first tournament I ever saw watching darts. Been in love with it ever since.

I remember playing darts in local pub in my country and i was on a spree of pros playing on youtube and i've watched gary and i knew he would become a champion one day.. that day happened exactly one year from when i first watched him and i ordered my set of Gary Anderson darts, i was so proud having them, i was using them only when there was a carpet on a floor in a pub so i don't damage them.. 2 weeks went by and i was playing some guys i didn't know , i went to the toilet and when i was back, there was no sign of them AND my darts.. this was almost 5 years ago and i still want those Unicorn darts back.. Gary if you ever read this- MUCH LOVE FROM CROATIA!

Great match. For me, darts has never been the same since Taylor retired. His vicious desire to win has never been replaced. Who's the new star of darts? Van Gerwen? No personality at all. They need Phil as the bad guy, the man, the monolith to beat, without him it's all got regimented and tedious.
Loosing Sid Waddel was bad, loosing Taylor has left darts as just a cash cow, infinities of tournaments with little meaning.
1. Bring back walk on girls
2. Less tournaments
3. More tournaments with sets rather than legs
4. Taylor to come out of retirement
5. Pump cash into the BDO

Yes to No 1 - I met some of them and they are all pleasant and have time to chat to people. They also enjoyed the work and the earnings they made from. Yes definitely bring back The Walk On Girls.
No 2 - Plenty of tournaments means more chances to win more money. They can all choose which Tournaments they play.
No 3 - Only the Bigger Tournaments to play set play. Other tournaments may be play more legs per round.
No 4 - That will never happen sadly. He has absolutely nothing to prove to ANYONE.
