- The Smile - People on Balconies - San Francisco, Live, 12-18-22, 1st row, Bill Graham Civic. Thom Yorke: It's because I'm playing in a fu*king draft... Never playing here again! Sorry guys! lol
Other Tidbits:
Thom: Ladies and gentlemen, we're a new band... we're going to play a new song...
OK, another new one... Or else we're only going to be here for 45 minutes lol
(Before Colours Fly): Someone left the fu*kin' door open somewhere... Freezing in here! Jeez! lol
It was in fact unusually cold and breezy inside the venue, lol. The band however toughed it out, not only on stage, but outside the tour buses, as Thom, Jonny Greenwood and Tom Skinner spent almost 2 hours signing fans' Smile and Radiohead albums, posters and other memorabilia after the show! I got my city-specific tour poster autographed by all three which was nice and it was great listening to all the fun banter they had with the fans.

Great vid
This is triumphant! So damn gorgeous!
omg somebody got their ass kicked for sure for letting them play in a draft :D great performance by them tho
what do you mean 'play in a draft'
@@Guadeloop when you play your instrument or/and (especially) sing its much harder to do it properly when you feel cold, your fingers turn stone and your throat becomes less flexible and "rich" in sound! Plus a stream of cold air is even worse then a static cold air and any musician would hate it understanding its a venue and the fix is as simple as someone closing some f*cking door somewhere that sucks all the warm air out of the building :D
I had an opportunity to go to this show and decided against it. Dang.
Good decisions lol. You'll regret it the rest of your life

What problem did Thom have?
what's a draft?
An indoor breeze, like if someone left a window open or smth
@@adamread3540That's funny considering the lyric about leaving the windows and doors wide open.
An unfinished/unreleased song
@@scottgherkinclips4744 did he mean he forgot the more finished bassline? at first i thought it was a sound setting for the bass that was off but now i think its the other case i mentioned.
@@Guadeloop Thom was complaining about the venue being cold that night. I think he literally just meant he was cold
hear me out, thom's best instrument is bass...
Bold! But definitely could be true…
Thom's best instrument is Thom!
this song makes zero sense.
None whatsoever.
does it makes sense now
Try again
It’s literally about the COVID lockdowns.
