Syncopated layers are so underrated in production/songwriting. Bravo with the Wildly Vibey patch making it more felt than heard to support the rest of the song! Nice work, my guy.
I produce and mix Afrobeat music and I learnt 80% of what I know on mixing from your channel... seeing a video on Afrobeat a here is so nice. I hope to see more on vocal mixing too 🔥🔥
I think one of the most important parts you discussed was the clave. It’s the rhythmic center & literally makes all the development so natural. Thanks for putting in the real effort.
I am a subscriber for more than 2 years. What i have learn from your channel is much more appreciate. This one is dope. Thank you make pop music for sharing. Am still learning to produce beat. Much love from Cameroon 🇨🇲🇨🇲
I'm Working on my first Afro beat, Tapping into my Nigerian roots lol I think you explained it very well. I feel like my current beat needs more body and I think I know what to do "maybe"
C'mon Austin, this is fire! Afrobeat (Naija Beat) is danceable Afroswing (which you just produced) is sexy and hot AfroPiano (Afrobeats + Amapiano) [trending currently] is groovy, hybrid and can unite a lot of races because of the blend between many genres. There are more categories, but those 3 are the most famous. A lot of black guys teach garbage in their Afrobeat tutorials. You nailed yours. The preview in the begining of your videos makes the difference because you show the final product so people can make up their mind on whether or not they found what they were searching for. In other guys videos, you will watch 10 to 20 minutes, hoping for a good result at the end, but they just end up creating unfinished sounding 16 bars loops. Therefore, if you release more tutorials, you can overtake them and be well referenced on TH-cam in the "Afrobeat Tutorial" field. Well done! Much Love From The Congo!
Bro you need to do more of these. I actually only come to this channel for straight pop tutorials and Samy beats and POJ beatz take care of the afro part. But this is fire
Thanks for this video. I think one thing to actually note about Afrobeats is the 3-2 clave. There is always a musical element (not always the drums but mostly some percussive sound) that has this beat. Without it, it sounds like Dancehall music than it sounds like Afrobeats. and finally, it's not always instrumentally heavy too as it relies more on vocal gimmicks than it does instrumental ones.
Hey Austin! would you make a video on how to make a song like aries, keshi or etc. would love to see you make this kind of genre. Great video like always anyways!
Same build as the last PC video we did a year and a half ago! Custom 19 11900k, 64 GB of DDR4 Ram, 1tb SSD Internal and tons of external SSDs and HDDs!
first video I watch from you. I am producing hip hop, but it was intersting to see how you arranged that song. Especially what you do with the vocals 👍🏻 I don’t know the most plugins you use 🤔😅 But now iam an subscriber 😉
Heyyy I love your tutorials!!! have you ever done a video on a more reggeton pop style. Like Becky g or fonzy. If not would you please consider it!!!! 🙏🙏🙏❤
