I think I need some elaboration on the point of the teacher/student relationship thing. "Well, no, its different, right?" "Boys and girls react differently" What is different about it? Especially with the age gap in the episode, a female teacher can do just as horrible things to a male student as a male teacher can do to a female one. While it may not be through biological processes, a woman could still hurt a boy in that way, or force a boy to do the act on her. There would certainly be depraved ways a teacher so inclined could abuse an older student too. I acknowledge you said both situations deserve to be prosecuted, but I dont see a difference here. Men and women are different biologically, yes, but there is no difference in this kind of abuse except what body parts might be used to commit the act. Thats it.
Well, to solve that you'll first want to establish why it's wrong for a person above the age of consent to sleep with someone below the age of consent. But that relies on the assumption that the age of consent is correct, is logical, is meaningful. It isn't. This isn't Cinderella. The stroke of midnight of whatever birthday the government chooses doesn't impart you with wisdom. Therein lies a problem. If the law is based on something completely arbitrary, and yet people have been programmed to believe it's gospel, then how can we have a meaningful and cohesive conversation about it? We can't. And that means that we know that there is a chance the dynamic is different, but we presently can't unpack it.
@xinpingdonohoe3978 the age of consent is established because that is the age where our brains are developed enough that the law believes us capable of our own decisions. Our brains are actually fully developed at 25, but we're developed enough at 18 to be able to make those decisions. No, there is no difference other than one days time between a person 17 years and 364 days old and 18 years old, Im not talking about that here. I dont care if a 19 year old is dating a 17 year old. Im talking a teacher going after students that are usually 10 or so years their junior. My youngest teachers in middle school were 10 years older than I was, and the same in high school. The age of consent is established because children and teens dont have enough development in the impulse control and decision making parts of their brains. Adults, especially over the previously stated age of 25, should know better. Should have that impulse control. It is amoral, not just illegal, to have relations of that kind. But truly, you didnt answer the question. What is different about it?
There was a case several years ago of a teenage boy getting his teacher pregnant. She was caught, sentenced to prison, and when she got out she & the boy - then a man - got married & I'm pretty sure they're still together to this day.
One of my kids actually turned me on to South Park. Back in the day when I was young and hip (lol) I wouldn't have deigned to watch a cartoon, let alone one that made people upset. My 16 yr old daughter (at the time) admitted she'd seen every episode and I was seriously confused why she would waste her time, but she showed me a few clips and we watching the entire series together. It was very very funny.
You're right about them getting it more right than wrong. I don't agree with everything they do, but I admire their bravery in this current cancel culture.
But.. they don't get triggered. Excep5 over coffee cups, basketball shoes, whether someone says "happy holidays," what ethnicity the president is, if the politician they worship loses an election, a beer company making a single can for a trans person, a toy company taking the word "mister" out of their product name, a fictional mermaid not being white, a bunch of books that don't sell well not being republished one year (books they never read or even heard of) or when a mediocre football player doesn't stand for a forced song that they don't stand up for either. Other than those couple things, conservatives totally don't get triggered. 😂

I never worshiped celebrities growing up because I love authenticity and hate fakeness. But I genuinely love Trey Parker and Matt Stone because they say the things I think but are afraid to say. I never had (nice) friends so to me they are like friends, watching their show brings an immense amount of comfort. I love how Trey married a stripper, I love that he believes in God but doesn't use it pretend to be a saint. I'm female, but I have more of a male brain. Most females just annoy me.
As a 40 year old man who has watched South Park since episode one, I can wholeheartedly attest to it being the greatest show ever made, all things considered. Biting satire, offensive comedy, and enough layers to make you second guess whether it's just another raunchy cartoon for adults. Matt and Trey's libertarian politics really have always been a breath of fresh air amidst partisan stagnation in the rest of media. And they took chances.
The beauty of South Park is that Matt and Trey found a formula to literally take a stance on whatever they choose! They said in an interview that as long as they have at least 1 character disagree, then technically they are making a stance on both sides! And shit, u can't argue with results! I've rocked with the show since I was very young, but I've definitely seen every episode at least once! lol but, if there's one thing I can say about it, they've never backed down from anyone or anything and I respect that highly!
The first episode I saw of South Park was "Things you can do with your finger" where Cartman, Kyle, Kenny, Wendy & Stan form their own boy band. I remembered it for many years because how Kenny got killed in that episode (he gets crushed by an elevator at the mall).
As a long time fan of South Park most if not all the seasons are great lol of course some fall short but come on it’s 24 seasons or something in lol and for them to have so many great episodes to bad ones it’s pretty high quality stuff lol
My friends are left-leaning but they LOVE South Park! I’m conservative but our political differences are so trivial, we don’t let them get in the way of our friendship, which is extremely rare nowadays.
That's hysterical I started at the same exact time watching South park on the 2nd airing of the first episode! I remember being in 5th grade watching it with my dad and us both dying laughing and then my mom being furious at pops the next day lol. In my opinion they are the greatest animated show of all time.
There's a reason the term "South Park Conservative" is a thing. Matt and Trey lean that way in their common sensical approach and the way they make fun of complete lunacy.
They aren’t conservative, they are libertarian. They lean into making fun of libs because, according to them, everyone else in Hollywood already makes fun of conservatives/republicans, so they wanted to do something different.
On Wednesday night I picked up two of my daughter friends to go to Bible study with us. They would talk about Carmen from South Park. So I decide to watch it with my daughter and I couldn't get over how much cussing and sexual overtones was on the show. But it was realistically true to what was happening at the time.
You know how people say the grew up with a tv show? I’m 30, born in 93, and I’m older than South Park and Family Guy. My generation LITERALLY grew up with those shows. And Americas Most Wanted.
The other thing is how people’s reactions change again when they find out the female teacher was having sex with a little girl. Then it becomes horrible once again🤷🏻♂️😂
I was 8yo back in 1997 when it aired the pilot for the first time ever. Being the same age they were, I feel like I grew up with them. There's been highs and lows, but still hands down the best animated show of all time.
I gotta tell you Michael, I don't know if you read your comments but, I'm a libertarian, and a social left leaning one at that, but you crack me up. I try to follow equal parts right and left channels here on youtube to reduce my chances of getting caught in an echo chamber, and you and Nick Freitas are my favorite conservatives on here. I may not agree with everything you say (but I do with a lot of it), but I thoroughly enjoy many of your videos. Also, just a side bar, when I say left leaning, I mean what the left USED to be. @@xinpingdonohoe3978yes. Yes she would be. If a child begs his mother to grossly overindulge on candy and other sugary foods and he ends up with diabetes, it is still his mother’s fault. His mother was the adult authority figure who could have and should have stopped him from making the wrong choice, because she knows better and it is her job to teach him properly. Children don’t know what is best for them, it is the responsibility of all adults around them to protect them from themselves and criminals who would abuse their innocence.
thank you for reminding me 'for goodness sake' existed. I watched it as a child and rewatching it now brought tears to my eyes
I use to always think South Park was trash, but the way they've handled political hypocrisy over the last few years has made me a fan.
If you think it was just the last few year then you were never paying attention to what they were doing. They have been killing it on political hypocrisy for like 20 years now lol
South Park has been doing that since the beginning. That's why it's been popular for so long. You weren't paying attention.
The first two seasons or so were rough but it was gold from season 3 onward.
South Park is one of the greatest cartoons of all time.
So, you hated South Park until they mocked the people you hate? Awesome.
Seeing Lonerism while making fun of yourself is gold. Good taste.

I'm a mormon and i find the episode they made about Joseph Smith one of the funniest things they made.
Also the way the church advertised in the Playbill of the Book of Mormon musical is pretty awesome. They didn't protest, they advertised. Protesting wasn't going to do anything but tick people off but maybe just a few people got interested and wanted to know more. It was the best response.
Have you seen "Book of Mormon"? It was great.
I like how Saddam Hussein is so bad in hell that they send him to heaven with the Mormons because he hates it there.
*Nice.*
Watched it at my cousins for the 1st time back in 2000. I was maybe 8 or 9. Watched it off & on after but from about 2008 & on been watching it constantly. I know every episode like I'm in a SP cult. In 2 seconds I can tell you the episode. Lol
Cartman was a Rabbi as an adult in that episode. It was a long decades long effort to piss off Kyle
No it wasn't. He actually fell in love wit a Jewish woman. That's why he wanted to stop them from going back in time to stop the covid response. It would take away his family.
Started watching in college. Wednesday nights in student lounge in dorms. Awesome. Friends too.
In my family, South Park is known as Dad's guilty pleasure.
Respect to a South Park OG! I came in years later, but been hooked ever since.
They've just NEVER gotten it wrong...
Matt and Trey must really love their jobs.
I’m sure lol they would of ended the show a long time ago if they didn’t
Michael Knowles dropping, "People don't think it be like it be, but it do."..... What a time to be alive man for real.
I think I need some elaboration on the point of the teacher/student relationship thing.
"Well, no, its different, right?" "Boys and girls react differently"
What is different about it?
@@xinpingdonohoe3978 you sound like a pdf file.
Mary Kay Letourneau she got impregnated by Billy Fillau two times, gave birth twice, and, they indeed married, she recently passed away, though.
I like how you said young and hip like the stereotypes lol. Great knowing you had a good time though.
Come on Michael it's not different, if they didn't have double standards they'd have no standards at all etc.
So you're saying 99% of girls also want to fornicate with their teachers, and would do many stupid things if it meant they could achieve that goal?
Yeah he totally missed the point
In what way is it not different? Any male with a bit of testosterone in his legs should know what the difference is
Like here: oh so I'm allowed in this bathroom but not the other one? Why what's the difference, double standards I tell you 🤔
@@1Peasant I think he'd need the testosterone *between* his legs, but yes.
You're right about them getting it more right than wrong. I don't agree with everything they do, but I admire their bravery in this current cancel culture.
I’d love to see Michael react to all the conservative triggering South Park bits
But.. they don't get triggered. 😂
Conservatives (mostly) can take jokes though.

Watching and enjoying Southpark is a key part of developing as a human being.
I don't know why I just cannot picture Michael Knowles watching South Park on his own for enjoyment! 😂❤😂
The best part of South Park is it’s ability to not piss anyone off, because it rips into everybody
no way im watching your video and it got released 9 minutes ago, thats crazy!!! Love you Michael!
Cartman is in fact a Rabbi in this episode lol. They continue to make hilarious episodes 25+ years later
To be honest I never really paid attention to South Park till college. It was amazing.
What?? South Park is prob more centrist they make fun of both sides and also South Park is very progressive for an adult show
They aren’t conservative, they are libertarian. They lean into making fun of libs because, according to them, everyone else in Hollywood already makes fun of conservatives/republicans, so they wanted to do something different.
Holy shit, the amount of cope to think South Park is conservative is CRAZY
The left has moved so far left that South Park basically is conservative by comparison
@@madduxnagel6935the early stuff was no doubt.
On Wednesday night I picked up two of my daughter friends to go to Bible study with us. They would talk about Carmen from South Park. So I decide to watch it with my daughter and I couldn't get over how much cussing and sexual overtones was on the show. But it was realistically true to what was happening at the time.
