Thanks! The Torture chamber is just all my workout stuff. Weights, punching bags, ect. About 10 years ago I had to massively downsize when I moved. I used to have a house that was completely full of animatronics and other weird oddities. I still have a lot of stuff packed in storage in totes.

I mean go to Desert Island top 10 kind of artist are bands that are fearless when it comes to doing exactly what they want to do regardless of commercial impact etcetera. For the longest time it just seemed like these favorites of mine were so diametrically opposed from each other that I would often wonder just what it was that was so appealing about them but now after years of kind of reconciling my crazy musical influences from all over the place... I see that bands such as the Misfits, Rush, ancient rites, The Ramones, Peter Gabriel... All these artists found a thing that they do exceptionally well and that thing may involve drastic changes every album such as Rush has done to their career, or keeping it on the straight and narrow and perfecting their shit like a razor blade which is what the Ramones did... In all these cases these bands were born to do the thing that they do. Hell or high water, record sales be damned they just did what felt right for them and divorced themselves very early in their careers from worrying about critics and record label Executives... All quite Brave considering the nature of the music business in those years. It was way less Democratic than current Independent Artists have in terms of being able to interact with a fanbase independently of needing a record label to push them or put them on tour etcetera. Long story long my friend, clearly stepping away from what people expect of you and doing what feels perfect in your heart is going to yield results like Beyond Archeron and it's really fucking good. I still think that Rites of the black masses one of the best things to ever come out of the underground in that era, and it still holds up given context and where the scene was at at the time... but, I can understand why as a more mature musician and as a different sort of Lyricist coming from a prospective of having more life experience to draw from, it feels as though you have been able to refine the lyric process to be more personal in the way you were looking at the world while still having a fatalist kind of vibe. Which is of course metal as fuck. I remember that though we were constant pen pals and we dug and respected each others music, we never found a common ground in terms of where we are both at lyrically and what we were doing the time and that's absolutely fine, it stands as a testament that people of intelligence can find a common ground in multiple areas that don't mean their friendship is based entirely on one thing and one thing only... That is a real problem with how things are today. People are so judgmental and so quick to dismiss others opinions that they don't really try and find a commonality to build on; rather, it's all about who can be louder and who can be more prone to showing their virtue signalling or whatever the fuck is passing for actual knowledge in the current 15-minute attention span Society we are in now. But, I digress... it's just nice to see that you are still out there and still kicking ass man. I went on to become a film composer primarily working in genre films like horror sci-fi and documentary did about 40 movies in a decade and called it a day in 2016 or so

@@schrodingers_cat8923 Start off with "The Satanic Bible" by Anton LaVey. It is the philosophy of Satanism in a nutshell. Obviously, there were cults and practitioners of Satan and Devil worshippers pre-dating Satanism, but that is a whole other belief system. I don't call myself a Satanist anymore, although I still resonate with the philosophy. The whole religious element no longer appeals to me. My beliefs are more personal and I don't need to label myself.
I wrote Richard for a long time until he died. Manson just happened to write me a letter due to something I wrote in a publication. Very strange seeing that in the mail! Haha

Nice! ACHERON actually was put to rest in late 2018. I’m now doing my VINCENT CROWLEY band. We have a debut album called “Beyond Acheron” out and a new one called “Anthology of Horror” due out in early 2024 on HAMMERHEART RECORDS. Hopefully one day we will be able to come over and play. Cheer!
It was actually a big surprise. I wrote a personal manifesto years ago and someone published it in their magazine. I went to my PO Box and I saw the envelope and was like “No Way!”. He wrote me to critique it and give his opinion about it. Lots of rambling but very entertaining. I may talk about it in an upcoming Q&A.
I do have some old military wars collectibles in storage, but I don’t have the room to display them. And not all German, like some people would like to think. Haha Military aesthetics have always amazed me. The Germans, Japanese, Russians, British and USA had some amazing uniforms and imagery.
That was actually a letter I received by surprise in my P.O. Box in the 90’s. I wrote a Satanic manifesto that ended up getting published in an underground magazine. Manson read it and felt the need to contact me and critique what I wrote. It is pretty entertaining in typical Charlie fashion. I did write him back, but never heard from him again.

@@schrodingers_cat8923 Start off with "The Satanic Bible" by Anton LaVey. It is the philosophy of Satanism in a nutshell. Obviously, there were cults and practitioners of Satan and Devil worshippers pre-dating Satanism, but that is a whole other belief system. I don't call myself a Satanist anymore, although I still resonate with the philosophy. The whole religious element no longer appeals to me. My beliefs are more personal and I don't need to label myself.

Nice! ACHERON actually was put to rest in late 2018. I’m now doing my VINCENT CROWLEY band. We have a debut album called “Beyond Acheron” out and a new one called “Anthology of Horror” due out in early 2024 on HAMMERHEART RECORDS. Hopefully one day we will be able to come over and play. Cheer!
Can you tell us about the Charles Manson letter?
It was actually a big surprise. I wrote a personal manifesto years ago and someone published it in their magazine. I went to my PO Box and I saw the envelope and was like “No Way!”. He wrote me to critique it and give his opinion about it. Lots of rambling but very entertaining. I may talk about it in an upcoming Q&A.

I do have some old military wars collectibles in storage, but I don’t have the room to display them. And not all German, like some people would like to think. Haha Military aesthetics have always amazed me. The Germans, Japanese, Russians, British and USA had some amazing uniforms and imagery.

That was actually a letter I received by surprise in my P.O. Box in the 90’s. I wrote a Satanic manifesto that ended up getting published in an underground magazine. Manson read it and felt the need to contact me and critique what I wrote. It is pretty entertaining in typical Charlie fashion. I did write him back, but never heard from him again.
