When I was a kid my mom used to sit outside with an old member of the Satan's Choice MC who was wheelchair bound and elderly and he would sit outside every summer day with his old patched jacket on and drink coffee and smoke cigarettes. Every time I would see him he would give me $5 and was always nice to me and my mother. One day we were outside sitting with him and he handed me a Satan's Choice pin. I wish I still had it but I ended up losing it some years ago but I often think about him and how nice he was to me. His son, who at the time was likely still an active biker would also come around in this amazing Trans Am and would always take me for drives with his daughter and we would go for small road trips around the city. Some years later the old man had passed away and shortly after that his son was arrested and ended up dying in prison. To this day I still see his daughter around town but unfortunately she never recognizes me and I never approach her but I'll never forget the family. They were nice people... from my experience.

I grew up in Peterborough in the early 80s right behind a strip club run by The Satans Choice. I have a love and hate feeling for biker clubs. Growing up in a ha family I met so many bikers and as a kid they were always nice to us. One guy brought us rock candy he made himself. It wasn't until years later I found out that the candy was a cover, he didn't actually make candy (except for us kids) he actually made a shitload of meth.
The bikers also gave my older step sister a "job" cleaning their houses. She was 15 when that started. My step dad let it happen. Do I even need to tell you that she wasn't actually cleaning anything? I'm sure lots of polishing was going on tho...
One associate of my step dads was arrested for having 2 16 year old girls chained up in his garage, naked.
Oh and let's not forget Robert picton was an associate of the hells angels.
All in all, yeah they are powerful, but they are not good people. And that goes for all the clubs. It's nice to see canadian gangster history but let's not romanticize bikers as saints.

James Mulryan saved my mother from gang rape by a street gang.. I met the frog with Jimmy at 7 not 8.. Yes I stole suits and a truck load of spark plugs with them.. I was a front but nobody rides for free.. Never saw Bernie be mean to women or kids, let me hit his hands and showed me how to move.. Naw he never raped anyone it wasn't in him you could tell.. I spent most of my time with Jimmy and Chicago Louis and let's be clear James Mulryan wasn't a rat and didn't commit suicide. I was there when the person made the call to the OPP and the OPP tried to make it look like Jimmy. I miss James Mulryan he would take me for rides on his Indian and put me right on the tank no bish seat fer me.. Even the peelers were extremely kind to me, took me to museums art gallerys parks.. remember strippers are people to Murial would say. A walking piece of art Murial was even at 6 I could see that.. Naw don't remember seeing Bernie being mean to anyone.. maybe he didn't have to because nobody did stupid shit around him. I'm the kid in the book so there seen shit first hand.. can't blame the whole choice for Osawa and Scabbury.. The Vandel did treat me like his son for years always made me do the right thing and lead me by example.. didn't like the farmer he was creepy..The goose was okay but I got to admit his niece Tanya made me fall abit in love with her (I don't feel much so yeah Tanya) Texas was right 👍..Phil was great to get stoned with and talk philosophy with.. everyone was always ragging on him, natural born leader and do anything for you. Maybe like the story about Tara and the clown car.. I should have not given into Kiddo and said no more an asshole does that.. well Kiddo and her 7 orgasms will be a great story one day.. I still regret saying no was taught not to regret anything.. I don't blame her for setting me up and wanting to kill me.. it was a dick move on my part.. what is it they say about a person when you still think about them a couple times a day.. I am not a toy

Nothing against the Angels, Outlaws etc. The people are still the same people, but it's like we've lost the individuality of what the Canadian clubs were. It was cool having the Choice, the PDR's and others. It's like one actor said in the movie that was based on the merger (can't remember the name) "you aren't just joining a club, you are joining an army" and they took on the problems that come with choosing sides in other countries problems (Angels-Outlaws feud in the US for example).

Plenty of information and stories I haven’t ever heard about SC and Bernie Guindon’s History.
I am however surprised that Bernie’s son Harley Davidson Guindon never made mention into this, he’s got a store in Oshawa called Harley G’s where plenty of HA tend to hang around these days- might be worth looking into him for his own episode possibly

I enjoyed your video! I did however notice one minor bit of confusion. You mentioned Bernie's father moved the family to "Oshawa, in Northern Ontario". Oshawa is in southern Ontario. The family did indeed move around the Northern Ontario area before heading south to settle. Perhaps that's why you mentioned Bernie "moving back to Thunder Bay" (which is in Northern Ontario) without previously mentioning Thunder Bay.
    Aside from that, good job!

Mr. Campbell was the REAL deal....a TRUE 1%er to the core. He was an "Old School" biker who lived to ride and was all about the "brotherhood".....not the bullshit politics and "What can you DO for the Club" that it seems to have become. I grew up around The P.D.R and The Vagabonds and knew more than a handful of The Choice members from the "'Shwa" back in the day....different breed of biker back then and L.C epitomized that era.

I've read a pile of books over the years, written by everyone from undercover agents, investigative authors and club members themselves and it's interesting reading from the different perspectives. I remember reading how Scotland is one of, if not, the only country in the world where the homegrown club WILL NOT allow any international club to set up house. Aren't they the Blue Angels or Blue Knights or something like that? I truly wish the Canadian scene hadn't went the way of the merger. No disrespect to the Angels and others. I just liked the uniqueness of our own clubs that for the most part, got along. On the flip side though, having one major, dominant club has, I think, quelled some of the violence. However, there was a flare up between the Outlaws and The Loners in eastern Ontario this past summer that got pretty out of control with arsons and gun play.

In the early '80's I just happened to be driving by the HA clubhouse in Halifax when I saw the RCMP slicing the front door in two with a chainsaw. There were other officers with machine guns all waiting to raid the place. Apparently it was a timed event and several clubhouses in eastern Canada were all hit at the same time. I guess the surprise factor was why the road wasn't blocked off.
