I have some masters touch from hobby lobby 36 colors and it was half off so 19 bucks they are acutally pretty good I think me the artist is the bad one
try out ohuhu, 48 piece tube set is like 18 bucks. also if you like, I've been fond of a 15 buck set over in walmart craft section, its a travel pan style with a water brush, they are actually rather decent, and the brush is actually pretty darn good for a water brush, I like it as I can take it with me to work and paint on my lunch.

I was starting to lose my patience and motivation when I decided to watch this video and try your tutorial and I am so happy ! The first drawing turned out good, the second not so much, but at least I had FUN painting it ! And my motivation is back !

A really, really cool trick i learnt from Rebel Unicorn Arts about masking tape is using a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive, and it comes off clean and easy!! It allows you to use normal masking tape which is stronger to prevent the paper buckling. It made my life so much easier! Thought you might want to try it :D

Nice. I hope to learn to water color while we are on quarantine. I doubt that my sisters would comprehend this because it doesn't have anything to do with money. It is more of a spiritual exercise.

I usually paint with oil but I'm starting to get quite interested with watercolour and I can see that from a techniques point of view, it's a different world altogether. The question I wanted to ask you is this: I put several layers of colour to get to the level of intensity you desire but wouldn't it be quicker to do so by avoiding adding water as a base? I'm asking this because I noticed that later when painting something darker like the little man on the boat, you just went for the colour, you didn't add water on the sheet first. Maybe I'm missing something. I'm trying to figure out😁. Thank you and sorry for the long message
I made a purple/magenta nighttime sky and I attempted the tooth brush thing but it didn’t work too well in my opinion. I also used cheap watercolors and 11 year old acrylics

When painting the blue of the night sky, what is the benefit of doing layers instead of one layer of paint with the color intensity you want? Also, thanks for teaching. It’s really amazing how my attempt turned out.

It’s worth it to buy better quality ones. Even just a little. I did and everything already looks better and is more manipulative

Schmincke paint is excellent paint. And our Paul Rubens is with same quality. But much more cost effective.
