Oh no! That was my Pizza Hut while growing up in Gibsonia! So awful that it's now closed! It was there when I moved to the area in January 1982. So it was there for at least 43 years if not more! What a shame!

In West Virginia where I live, there’s a couple of Big Lots stores that have closed and their signs are still up. Idk why places leaver their signs when they close but okay I guess lol

Used to love the Pizza Hut lunch buffets.
I’m pretty sure I’m responsible for this closing. Visiting from Colorado in October and drive by this Pizza Hut and told my son how I loved the original building design, but how I was also surprised it was still open. My bad folks

It was never really looked busy lol it seemed closed b4 it closed sadly. I work over at HD. I believe the new building is going to be FNB bank new location . There’s still one done-in Pizza Hut open in Greentree on Poplar St. (Rt 121)
There’s an old one close by that was semi converted to a beer pub, that also closed on the edge of Carnegie and Scott Township on Washington Avenue (Rt 50)

Though, a number of years ago, I recall reading that billionaire Warren Buffet owns a number of franchises. That doesn't surprise me. As for Pizza Hut, the one here in Weirton WV, is a dine in restaurant.

They just shut down the Pizza Hut classic in Morris and Yorkville locations in Illinois. The Geneseo one is one of the last classic buffet Pizza Huts out in our state.
All the ones near me are takeout only now. Just stopped at one this week, and the only tables were there for the people picking up takeout. But nobody ate inside Pizza Hut anymore anyway. Last summer my wife and I ate inside one - we were pretty much the only people there
Last time I ate at a non-classic location, my ex and I were the only people there.

The old Burger King is going to be a First National Bank. They're closing / combining the Hampton one (across the street) and the one in Richland (by the Walmart).
Thts been there since at least the 70s. Sad its gone. They demolished the burger king close by recently. That burger king was there before the was a McDonald's in the area.
Wow! Just picked up pizza from that location a few weeks ago. All these fast food places closing up around here and being replaced with car washes and oil change shops. Do we need this many?

There's still a sit down Pizza Hut in Moon Twp on University Blvd right near Robert Morris University, actually closer to Moon HS. Same though, always dead when I drive by there. I'm sure their days are numbered.
If all you knew of Hampton was our stretch of Route 8, you’d probably roll up your windows and lock yours when driving through. I’m surprised people don’t throw change out their windows out of pity.
It's definitely sad to see this go. I only have one Pizza Hut near me, and it's take-out only and in a strip mall. But this was definitely a great location you found. I was actually kind of surprised the HVAC equipment on the roof still works!

We have lost 3 pizza huts in my town up here in Fairbanks, Alaska in the last 10 years and the last two are only takeout now

Sad to see another place close, though Pizza Hut is not so much of a surprise, expecalliy seeing most if not all you other closed Pizza Huts, I mean I like there pizza I think it is better than little Caesars but there is many more better places to get pizza. I hope are having a great weekend and staying warm, I thought it was cold here as it gets down to the 20s! Though it sounds like you should come out west to be in warmer weather we are having lots sun and apparently warmth out here, though I think it will rain again:(

There was a long term woman employee at the burger king there. Nice lady. Was there at least 20 years. Wish I could remember her name. Had alot of recognition pins on her hat.

Odd. A year or two ago, they put a new roof and signs on the building. But they have refused to answer their phone for orders for the last few years even when open.
I know where there’s a 1990s Pizza Hut with the 1970s hut design for the building in Huntingdon pa. And there’s a former ames

There’s an abandoned Pizza Hut in Louisa, KY on U.S Highway 23 ( Near Ashland, KY) it closed in 2012 I belive or somewhere around there. If you are ever in the area, you should film it!!

Hey Wallie there is a 80's Burger King you should check out before they remodel it. Somebody told me it was supposed to be remodeled last september but it never happened. It has a cool glass sun room, partitions and wooded seats and tile. The location is 2141 Stefko Blvd, Bethlehem, PA.

If you ever get back to Wilmington Delaware there's a pizza place called grottos pizza very good pizza there very big through the state of Delaware on down to Rehoboth Beach and ocean city Maryland to and they even have grottos pizza locations up in the wilkes barre pa and Scranton pa area to they actually started out of the wilkes barre pa area
On the plus side, there's plenty of open tables.

So an idea is the Upper Valley Mall in Springfield OH! So the mall is abandoned and there is a former Kmart across the street (now Rural King) but anyway, there is a Sears in the mall (obviously) and their logo is still up and their logo is the black logo, and it's still up.

Pizza Hut is not doing very well at all. Go past any of their restaurants and there's never any cars in the parking lots. I used to work at one, and in it's prime the place was often completely full on weekends. These legacy building styles from the 1970's are the ones that seem to be closing the most. I still have a pair of original chairs from the dining room that my former manager gave to me.
Another fun fact: I guess cuz it closed so recently it’s still on google maps

Speaking of a pizza hut we have one exactly like that one with the buffet with the same color booths same older windows and yes the smoke out that same door 😅and it is one of the best ones we have here I love it they make the best pizza around that area ours in town sucks we literally go to this type one like 25 miles from our house because it's way way better than the one in our town it's bigger but not good..we actually have 3 pizza hut 1 is take out only that sucks if I'm eating pizza hut I wanna sit down and eat I hope and pray they don't ever convert that one we go to..I do like other pizza tho not to many to be exact probably just papa John's I like there pizza a lot but prefer pizza hut is better I think and we have a place called vinneys pizzeria it's all homemade very very good.. 8:33
