D.C. Has a building code with a height restriction. My grandmother told me that the purpose of this height restriction was to emphasize the width of the streets in D.C.
It's illegal that is why they don't have any. They would obstruct the capitol. My state capitol city Madison WI has the same law too. Arlington has some skyscrapers that is good enough

Great video. The tunnel heights are signed 13’ but I’ve seen 13’6” high commercial trucks travel through those tunnels a number of times.
