1000th like, this video was great, inspirational too. But it is art, and you are an artist, that’s not debatable whether you find it pretentious or not it’s just the definition of what your doing. Great work man.
I'm about to finish my thesis and I choose as a subject the screen printing process and I just found this video, your words are inspiring and I agree with you 100%
+Andrea Diaz That's wonderful to hear that Mathias' ideas resonated with you. I know I found his perspective while we were filming very refreshing to hear, too. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing too! Cheers to finishing your thesis, too - that's exciting! -Zach
As a SCREEN-PRINTER myself, this was very inspiring. I still print manually because of the IMPERFECTness. Aaaahhhh. Its lovely. Respectz to all the PRINTERS out there!! "Its a very imperfect process"
Hello from Malaysia! what a coincidence that i too just found this video on my final year as a student. i choose a screen printing for my major Project thesis. and my method is producing children book by using screenprinting technique. This video really inspired me. Thank you so much!!
RESPECT. I really respect people who put love to his work. Enjoy his work. What are you doing is an Art itself, art of printing. I would love you do my arts one day... i know it's on very good hands.
Art" something that is created with imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings" What you do falls into that definition. Beautiful art you are creating! As I approach the third trimester of my lifespan, I explore more avenues of sustainable art. Yours is inspiring.
Wonderful. That has to be one of the most profound and humble creators I've heard speak of their work. Thank you for making this video and thank you Mathias for the honesty, positivity and provocative point of view.
I totally can't wait to get back into screen printing posters. I've been doing tee shirts for too long.... LOL. Very cool video. Post modern world. Come get some Catspit~!
+CatspitProductions very cool, that's great to hear. Cheers to getting back into screen printing posters! I'll have to check out your screenprinting tutorial videos, too. -Zach
+Beyond the Gallery Awesome :) Yeah I have a cool vacuum pallet attachment for my rotary textile press I want to make a video with but I'm still working on the art. Thanks for checking me out!
I would really like to have a conversation with this guy I think I could convince him otherwise about my medium and the mistakes that can be made and seen in computer generated art I could convince him of it being tangible just by looking at my online gallery work but once I showed him the process to which I have made the digital works he would be more accepting of my art form but that's ok because many art forms of today weren't accepted at their. beginnings, graffiti for example street art etc.
Screen Printing isn't too far from being made by a computer - especially when most designs are created in photoshop and illustrator. Pretty work though by the way.
David Hoggan first of all your statement is a sweeping generalization, sure there are many artists that use those mediums, but i urge you to check out the wonderful work of james flames, elvisdead, printmafia, neal williams, jermaine rogers, miles tsang, malleus... to name a few.
This dude needs to work on his insecurities. There's nothing wrong about being called an "Artist". It's pretentious only if you are one. There's nothing wrong about computer-generated images. I'm sure a portion of your poster prints were first worked on computers. Be what you are mate. Don't defend it for sounding 'cool'. By the way, the best thing I can say about your art is... "Derivative". If you can come out of self-doubts, maybe you can present us with something 'original'. Good luck.

What kind of paper did you use and at what GSM?
he's right about not being an Artist, creativity doesn't necessarily equal art, he's as much an Artist as a Carpenter
Wow beautiful really, I love how this was explained. Great job
+Nicky Love thanks for watching, Nicky! Sorry I missed your comment until now btw. I really appreciate your support! -Zach

+Nicky Love thanks so much, Nicky! And absolutely - looking forward to making even more episodes of the show for you all. :D -Zach
The word art means work. It’s not a pretentious word it’s a levelling word.
Muito bom.
Hey hey Pueblooooo. If you have some extra screens, I'll pay ya for them!
"I make things that other people consider art.". gimme a break
Rainier Matthee THANK YOU
i know its been a year but still
Could be his way of expressing his creation process. I found it helpful. Art shouldn't be a state of expectation.
I love this
jaakebraake thanks for watching!
wow cool
"This isn't computer generated...."
To say that sorta completely misunderstands the process you're seeing here.
cool
Excellent¡¡¡

you are dead wrong sir.
Do explain.
David Hoggan

+David Hoggan agreed
+thunderkiss80 you suggest a printing machine is not machine?

I wish I could dislike this twice!
Poster art IS a minor and commercial art ... point! ...i am myself poster artist
Poster art is just advertising an event. How is that art?
How is it not??
Andy Warhol is so famous do you even know him?
So reproduce art is just a collage? It’s fucking collage lol 😂
This is craft, not art.
Especially whit "Electro Mecanic" helpper (assitent).... : )
corny
Those ears.. Yikes!
You didn't talk about your process, what paper you use, just talked about yourself! Not helpful!
