This was so helpful and so simple. You have no idea that you’ve changed my entire weekend. Thank you so much for sharing this feature. I’ve spent hours trying to figure out on my own. That’s embarrassing but I’m loving this. Thank you so much for your video.
Omg I struggled for two hours because the Pathfinder was giving me strange results, but once I used your tip with the shapebuilder tool it worked instantly. Thank you!
Pathfinder has 2 options that seem the same "unite vs Merge" is it not the same thing or what are the differences between the two? thank you for your time!
simple tech , but explained the best way , they way he explain all minor details with its uses . just excellent , will subscribe to watch all his videos

Unlike Corel Draw, though, you cannot merge two objects if they are not touching together. Say I wanna add a gradient effect to 4 separate objects "merged" (welded in Corel) together, I just couldn't on Iluustrator, because here the objects gotta be touching or on top of each other. Sad limitation.
Help me out, bruh. I typed out some text, then duplicated it, changed color, and bumped the bottom layer over a few clicks to create a little shadow/stroke effect off the text. How do I merge everything, keep the two colors, and separate the layers into just the text, and the stroke/shadow.

Whats the different of 'unite' and 'merge' on the pathfinder? I think they are same..
