This isn't really a true comparison since the the resonance or balance parameter is changing on the Deep impact. The Note On and Note Off level are fixed on the Future Impact as well, so the sounds are not necessarily going to match up unless all the parameters are at 5.
thanks for posting this. i listened to it with nice pair headphones. And I can say, without a doubt, the Akiai is tops in sound quality. But the Future Impact packs many more useful, modern, and needed features. The Deep Impact seems a more desirable pedal just because of much more presence, punch, and low end...the very things a bassist wants.

I do normally frown upon linking other videos in a videos' comments section for the purpose of "here's a better video", but... yeah, that's a good demo. In most cases the difference is negligible between the two pedals
Steveee Royce - “better” ... ?! That’s a subjective measure ... The DI has fuller, effected sounds ... the FI may leave the bass more ‘in tact’, but that’s not the point of an effector pedal (esp not a synth pedal!!) ... and if I want that, I can blend in the straight signal (in parallel) with the effected signal, to taste ... it’s clear though that the FI does not get as extreme as the DI ...
Notice how the last 30 seconds they sounds practically the same that because he adjusted the parameter almost the same.....the guy who made the fi also helped create the di....definitely didn’t sit there and make a pedal that had any less quality to it....from owning a fi and listening to dis on here it is the same pedal with better features and more low end punch which is what every bass player is looking for

Exactly my fi sounds nothing like this....from my experience mine tracks better has more clean bass and synth quality is exactly the same.

Buy one for yourself and compare the two without touching any parameters FI is much better

I have both on hands, and they sound exactly the same. The FI however is much more powerfull.
