Hello.. Tohoku region has been my all time favorite destination in Japan.
    1. Aomori Prefecture has the best apple in the world with various product from it. Exploring Hirosaki in Spring and Lake Towada in Autumn are a great experience. Don’t forget Hachinohe Morning Market is a must visit place which is the largest morning market in Japan and offer various of dish that you can enjoy.
    2. Akita Prefecture has the best onsen and is famous for Oyakodon that use Hinaijidori (an A5 version of chicken) and Kiritanpo, a wonderful dish. Dont forget to explore Lake Tazawa and Kakunodate, it is my all time favorite place and feel like a time machine that bring me back to Shogun era.
    3. Sendai is famous for historical site and their gyutan (beef tongue) is absolutely a must when visiting there. Visiting Matsushima and enjoy the most scenic view of Japan.
There are still many more plce to visit in Tohoku 😁

Tohoku is so under-rated - which is kinda why it is awesome... fewer tourists than other area's, awesome snow in winter, and the local's are friendlier than in Tokyo, etc...

I visited Okinawa last October and it’s famous spot for diving. Due to COVID-19, I cancel all my International trip this year but I hope to go back there next year.

How was Okinawa?? I'm so eager to visit, it has been on my travel wish list for years!! I hope we're able to travel again internationally next year - lately, it's feeling like we may never get back out there :( trying to stay positive tho!! P x

Konnichiwa! So far I’ve only visited Tokyo and Kyoto, but Koyasan looks so great! Osaka was my next destination to visit, I was planning to combine it next year with Tokyo Olympics if COVID-19 allows us to. Akihabara in Tokyo was one of my favorite places, so that’s a must see in Osaka. The Japanese gardens in Nara are so made for perfectionists, I need to see them too! I need to do a ski or snowboard course and then go off to Hokkaido. It seems so relaxed to go skiing/snowboarding there. Kushiro looks a bit like Lapland with their scenery. Glutenfree ramen is my favorite Japanese dish, let’s go again. The hot spring seems very comfortable too. I totally agree with your statement about a theme park for adults. The best city I’ve ever visited. (With Melbourne and Seoul on number #2 and #3). Arigato for spoiling us with another Japan episode and have a great weekend 🤙

You got to do Osaka - for me, Tokyo is too serious and arrogant or something. Where as Osaka is just .... everything Tokyo is not :) And last time I was in Osaka, the first night we went exploring the local area, and got lightly snowed on, just walking around. That was very cool!
And if you like Akiba, then Den Den town in Osaka will tick all the same boxes BUT with the advantage of being easier to get around. I'm big, wide shouldered Australian Lad, and with a Backpack on, I found myself having to walk backwards to get out of Aisles in a lot of the Akihabara shops, which kinda sucked; but Den Den town was much easier (and I should also mention Nakano Broadway in Tokyo - if you need pop culture, Anime, Manga, etc, you want to visit Nakano Broadway).
As for beginner level snow, I haven't skiied much for some 15 years now (spine injury, long story), but during research for my (now cancelled) next trip, and talking with friends, I came across places like Mount Rokko Snow Park (just outside of Kobe) - it's not big, and a lot of the snow is trucked in, but if you're old and broken like me - and used to living at Sea Level - this sort of place looks awesome for 'having a go' at the basics. If you're basing out of Tokyo, there are even more options in Nagano and Niigata Pref... But these are at higher altitude, and going from Sea Level to >1000m in about 90 minutes (as I did on my last trip) as a dude who has spent the majority of the last 15 years at SL, was 'hard work'. But by all accounts (recommended by both Japanese friends and fellow Australian friends) Yuzawa Snow resort in Niigata is the place to go - its like 75-80min from Tokyo Station!
A little further up the road, and there's Tohoku Pref - totally under-rated for its snow... Its stunning!

What month where you in Hokkaido? Id love to see those swans and the cranes. I also loved Koyasan, I missed the autumn leaves and I was too early for the snow but on the day I went to Okunoin cemetery it was raining and it was almost completely deserted. It was amazing having it all to myself and I certainly felt the vibe you mentioned. I’m keen to watch your Brisbane videos as I’ve just moved back here. Covid stopped our move to the UK so Brissy it was. Despite border closures I’m planning a fifth trip to Japan. I noticed another commenter mentioned Kamakura and Enoshima- both are great spots, catching the tram along the coastline is lovely. I’d also recommend Kinosaki Onsen as another less touristy destination.

Kamakura and Enoshima are definitely worth a visit, and are well within range for a Tokyo day trip . To the south of Tokyo (through Yokohama) and on the coast, Kamakura is just stunning, awesome food, brilliant coast, and just really good all year around. Enoshima is a short tram/train ride from Kamakura, and is an island connected to the mainland by a bridge/causeway. There are tunnels under it, shrines, light house and light shows.
Hakone is worth a look - I dont think I spent enough time there to fully appreciate it.
Obviously in Tokyo you have to check out Ebisu, Ueno, and Ruyogoku... And because I had some amazing food there, Takodanobaba (though I suspect this is actually pretty typical of that sort of neighbourhood).
I cant talk up Osaka and Kyoto enough (being an 11minute Shinkansen ride a part) ... But next trip there is a road trip I would love to do from Osaka down to Kumano on the coast.
Next trip I also want to do some road tripping around the Seto Sea - so many bridges and islands and etc...

Great video... So many fabulous places and so much information. We have never been to Japan but is on our list. And this is random.... But OMG your hair always looks incredible and so healthy. Also how much time did you spend in Japan?

Thank youuuu!! On our most recent trip (we did Hokkaido, Kansai and Tokyo) we were there for about 2-3 weeks all up. It was amazing! Haha I'm very lucky with my hair - I got it from my mum! I only get it coloured maybe twice a year at the most and try to avoid heat-styling it as much as I can! P xx
