Tropica Video is like no others videos out there. Words cannot describe what he teaches. He's down to the nitty, gritty things making golf simple that a beginner or amateur can tap into even a wood worker can step to the course and play right away. That just how good it is! He's humorously fun along the way. Thanks, Coach!
Everytime I watch a Tropicana video I feel like I get closer and closer to what I’m supposed to be doing in my swing even though it will take a little time and practice. I love every video and I appreciate the help much love as always! Be nastiiiiiiiii
Quicker than you think!! I livevin Az, spent the last 7 months at -5° in Indiana. Been back for 6 weeks maybe? Played a ton.. I swear to God... 2 days ago played my first round in terrible conditions with 100% Jimmy's philosophy, swing teachings, etc. Missed my one and only hot tub putt BTW but shot an 88. Next day, went back. Same weather, same punched greens, same opponent. Much more confident, much more relaxed, used a 4i plenty of times off the tee, fairways, and trusted the ball being back in my stance. Shot a 79!! Jimmy is the GD man!!!
I'm so ready to get my back surgery done and over with.... Jimmy has me looking forward to getting on the golf course. I'm 76 years old and look forward to playing my most fun golf....
im glad they're working for you Paul. thank you for watching and for the support. I have I have your support with the new TROPICANA golf balls I just launched. I've been playing these balls for the past 4 years and I'm playing me best golf ever. Please click here to try them. tropicanagolfshop.com/products/the-new-tropicana-ball
"Gimme Three Steps" - not only a great Lynard Skynyrd song but a great mental reminder of Jimmy's core message. No need for the bee swarm of swing thoughts I used to suffer from!
Thank you Jimmy! Most constructive advice from anyone, have played my best golf in 40 years by keeping it simple.Eliminated the million swing thoughts in my head that lead to inconsistency! From Sydney Australia
Jimmy - I just wanted to take a minute and thank you. I’ve been playing for 7 years now and struggling to improve. Your vids hit me at exactly the right time and I’m enjoying the game more than ever. THANK YOU!
Had a bad day of golf today, was not zoned in and made some really bad shots. Warmed up and did decently at the range, got on the course and kept thinning shots and slicing. Going to keep going though. Your videos have been so helpful. Going to try these tips next time.
Have you checked out Jimmy's video on ball position? Very foreign to me in my mind, but in reality it helped so much with contact... then again.... it's golf
Jimmy really enjoying your approach to golf. I followed your approach (wave to the camera and pass the ball) and had 37 points with 5 pars in a row. This made me very happy. I went out again today and reverted back to big swings, attempting to lag and hit hard with driver. Result 31 points, double bogies, scrambling golf. Not happy Jan. Keep up the great education. Fact is a 73 year old cannot swing like Rory, but golf instruction is based on Rory. Give me a break. PS keeping your head down contributes to dragging the ball left.
I absolutely love your videos. Good tips and your personality rocks. I love that you F... up like the rest of us and dont bother to edit that out. The entertainment factor is awesome. BTW, I think you have enough subscribers to allow you to smoke better cigars. 😬
Sorry, I thought they looked like an El Cheepo they sell at my golf club. I looked them up. Wow, above my pay grade!!! LOL. I like New World Cameroon Boxed press by AJ and Comfortably Numb by Espinosa. More in my price range. Anyway, one of my favorite channels. Look forward to every vid.@@TropicanaEntertainment
4” of snow yesterday and last night. Prior, I’ve been playing 15 to 18 holes almost daily for two weeks. I was a 25 handicap last year. I’m a par/bogie golfer this year. Every club in the fairway or on the green. My jacuzzi is a 5-6 person, not your 4 person. But a yard putt for me is rarely 2, never 3. Goodbye three putts. Also, in 160+ holes, I’m playing the same two balls. It’s kind of a thing now. How long can I play them. Actually, three balls, it was so cold that one ball split in two. Now that’s cold. Left clubs in vehicle overnight and it was 28F over night, 34F when I started. I’d attach a picture of my ball, but I don’t know how. Thanks Jimmy. I’m feeling good about golf this season thanks to you.
That's amazing. Got 2 rounds in and the ONLY ball I lost in play shoukd have been in the fairway like we all saw... nope, must have landed in a gopher hole or something. But your streak is unreal. Love it
Jimmy how do you know how hard to hit the ball to chip it on the green and how hard to putt the ball on the green i hit it to hard or to slow no inbetween help me
You deserved that birdie on the last mate, fast greens done you again. Outstanding 2nd shot, effortless! This was you're best ever lesson imo, so many take aways for us. The follow through, with the head down - is a huge one for me, can really see how well you hit it on line. The 'stopping it dead, halfway downhill', was another brilliant piece of advice. Thanks man, that was seriously impressive! I'll be taking this out with me this weekend, love from Scotland.
The video is very timely. I have not hit a golf ball since August. I work and its North East cold and wet. Im going out Monday for the first time. I will use your system and let you know how it went!
I bought your 69d wedge. How about a video on just pitching. I would love to see your take on the bing-bang-boom theory when it comes to the short game around the green
Straight-ish is a great goal for us average golfers. The key is your mindset when it becomes straight-eesh and you add unnecessary strokes on a hole or two. Remember, you’re likely with friends and hopefully it’s a nice day. There are holes left to make a recovery. Relax and enjoy. The most important golf muscle is between your ears. Thanks, Jimmy for another great video.
I started golfing again a few months ago and was shooting 55-60 for 9 holes. I started hitting my 3 iron off the tee and stopped swinging my arms and trying to kill the ball and now I shoot 45-50 for 9 holes. I can walk up to the tee now and feel comfortable hitting knowing I will hit it 200 yards down the fairway instead of 270 out of bounds.
I played last two rounds with ball in the back with a tee (minus the driver)... honestly, even putted like that too. Cured my hook instantly. My first time trying it, I said, yup... were doing it. Took a 75% swing, ball went RIGHT at the flag... than kept going as I flew the green😂😂😂. Best part... I clubbed down 😂😂😂. Last 2 days I played with ball back in the stance and had ZERO hooks. I absolutely play the ball in the back of my stance now on every shot (minus the driver) Best!!
In addition to your keen swing thoughts, I appreciate your course management coaching. So many of us have gotten suckered into buying $600 Drivers. And to get our money’s worth we hit it as hard, as far, and as often as possible-usually right into double bogey. You’re proving that we could probably just bag 5-iron, 8-iron, a wedge, and putter. Break 90. And have a great round!
how do you get so much distance in your hits. when I try and swing slow and easy to my hip, all of my clubs( P-3i )go about 120-140 yards. Also, what do you mean by "keeping you heel down"? were all of your iron shots off the back right foot?
I noticed in your recent instagram post you doing a practice swing at the range. looks like you are dipping/bumping your hips on your down swing. can you do a video on the relation/timing of this? seems like that is where you are getting most of your power/distance in your swings, while only backswinging to your hips.@@TropicanaEntertainment
New to your videos Jimmy. Fantastic common sense golf. Pennsylvania golfer here. Very few level fairway lies. Quite hilly. Any mention of ball postition in stance from hilly lies would be great.
Great instruction Jimmy.....my problem is I hit behind the ball 2 inches everytime! Are your hands in front of the ball or in line with the ball? Doesn't matter where I place them, I still hit 2 inches behind the ball.
Jimmy has an amazing video on ball placement. Seemed wierd as hell, but last two rounds I used it. Shot a 79 yesterday. Helps with contact for sure. I highly recommend it.
I was a big early wrist hinger... now just taking the club back to around parallel I hit straighter, about as far, and can honestly say I have no idea what my wrists or hands do anymore. Best part, one less thing to think about or screw up
He’s just like a blue collar guy who talks to us hackers but he’s pretty good golfer on top of it and plays the smart way, nothing outrageously difficult or tricky.
You produce a lot of speed with your swing it appears to me. So your forward turn must have some juice, I assume. Any back pain issues? I worked a recent afternoon on your advice and later experienced some discomfort. I must be doing something strange. Any suggestions. Thanks, your videos are very entertaining.
That's all he uses... I use a 50/54/58/ and a chipper. He's so good with that daamn thing makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life😂😂😂 That said, I would be hard pressed to kick one of them out of the bag. Maybe the 58 coukd turn into a 64°?? My chipper is getting buried with me and yes I know, you can put with an iron but... that's my cheater club. I am interested in a higher lofted wedge, but my 58 is gold too. I wish that 14 clubblimit didn't exist

When you hit an iron from the re box, with the ball on a tee, do you still play the ball in the back of your stance?
I played last two rounds with ball in the back with a tee (minus the driver)... honestly, even putted like that too. Cured my hook instantly. My first time trying it, I said, yup... were doing it. Best!!
Which heel are you talking about keeping down?
Hi Jimmy , what do you mean by heels down? Can you please explain it ?
The heels on your feet. Keep them
On the ground.
How do you get all these holes where there are no other golfers in ur vids?
magic
Love watching your backswing and then the add pops up…lol. Great talking points by the way
Is my looking up early possibly causing me to slice it so bad?
No. Its that you dont understand that you’re using your shoulders from the top of the swing. You must use your lower body first.
Thanks
Good stuff.
For Mere Mortals, like us, Bogey is Par. And your K.I.S.S. Instruction is priceless!

No wrist hinge? I thought if you turn back enough the wrist would automatically hinge.
They will. Everything just happens. Try it
I was a big early wrist hinger... now just taking the club back to around parallel I hit straighter, about as far, and can honestly say I have no idea what my wrists or hands do anymore. Best part, one less thing to think about or screw up
The reason they dont lift the heel anymore is because the shafts are much better and they can spring the shaft because of stiftness

And I admire the flag pulling as a single. I do the same thing and people look at me funny but hey it’s part of the concentration of making the putt!
Sik shirt Jimmy 🤙🏽
