Dear,
Both are excellent, it depends on your interest and ability. Nice presentation can be possible by Lucida as well as Cursive. The Only difference is, using Cursive, one can finish the exam 15 to 20 minutes earlier than the students who write using Lucida style.

Dear many are facing this problem
If you strongly decide, you can relearn cursive. Otherwise shift to lucida.
Lucida is also one of the best Style of writings.
Remember, while learning, see for the perfection not for speed. Speed comes through practice.

Good question
Both are necessary, but depends on class and need.
For lower classes Lucida suits better. Gives more clarity.
For higher classes Cursive. Can write more content in lesser time.

For 10th, cursive is the best. It gives more marks. But cursive learning must have started in 6th, 7th or atleast by 8th.
Students should not learn when he comes to 10th. Time doesn't permit him.
If at all he wants to change in 10th Lucida suits quite better.
