That is pretty suspicious. I wish the reward was a little better, but I suppose there are some ways that the Diamond could be useful this early. Though I don't think there are any enemies who use light attribute at this stage.
Are you only using equipment you can normally make or buy? I did play this game years ago, but I'm a bit rusty now. I know with enough grinding you can learn and max out all your tech moves, and i'm assuming your wearing a title costume that you get from doing all that. Im at level 27 with the Tsurugi plus one, and as much as defense as I could muster, but even on easy, I can't win, and I can't perfectly kite him enough with Azure Edge. Since you can't progress in the game, your equipment options should be severely limited.
You gain some level up redemptions if you have the Definitive edition of the game, using those you can boost your level quite a bit, it still doesn't make up the difference in stats due to equipment restriction though. You can also craft some slightly stronger gear with the item material redeems as well. Based on what I know, the gear I was able to make before coming to the forest was at least two dungeons ahead, not a massive boost, but still a good one.
Okay noob question. How did you manage to use 3 artes consecutively? Is there a skill that lets you do that? And can I unlock it on my first playthrough?
So. There are different types of artes. Base (like Azure edge). Altered (Azure Blast). And Arcane (Brutal Fang). You can chain a base to arcane then arcane to altered for a 3 Arte chain. But, if you're in Overlimit, you can just kind of use Artes all willy-nilly as long as you have the TP for it.
Fair warning I used Level up items from the Definitive's bonu pack for this. Your normal level at this point is going to die in maybe 2 hits.@@dethro2650
Using some stuff from the Definitive bundle, I raised Yuri's level to be around 50 before trying to fight Don, it's still a difficult battle though due to how low your base states are. So you'll want to fight carefully. Try using your overlimit to break out of combos for instance. Brutal Fang will also be your friend in this fight, rapidly pressing B in time with Yuri's strikes will make you add more hits into it. Keep in mind that in the Definitive version of Vesperia, bosses have a revenge value where they'll enter a semi-invulnerable state to break your combo with one of their attacks, so if you can help it, strike Don from the back.
@@Death_13TH i know, i played this game in xbox 360 year 2020, i'm at after defeating barbos at that time, then i didn't play it again cause i so miss many side quests and using magic lens on all enemies, i already sold my copy and my xbox 360 is broken, this year i bought used xbox one for me to play this game again because the xbox 360 version doesn't have all the content release in it and also patty and flynn is not playable in there, so i bought the digital copy of tales of vesperia definitive edition

You can really tell the difference between the original and added lines for Yuri...not sure Grant George did the best job subbing in for Troy Baker.
On NG+ this is very doable as long as you have the Fell Arms unlocked.

I also needed 9999 KILLS 10x exp AND BE on EASY MODE ONLY else he can still kill you in 1 WITHOUT it being a 10x exp run.

I don't know with certainty, but I'm pretty sure this was a battle added into the Definitive edition.
