All in all, this one is going to be a step up in terms of difficulty. Batt/Camazotz. HP: 666. MP: 200 Voids: Ailments, Death, Expel, Earth. There are a couple of events that happen where you might not be able to transform and start off a battle while in human form. This can be both good and bad for a number of reasons but in this place it's a generally good thing to have happen as it turns out. The base for the maribels has some interesting architect inside I guess. Most of the enemies here will begin to show you how it's important to quickly gain a variety of elements, given that many of them negate at least one element that your party owns.

There are lots of thigns you can find here, and the game will help introduce you to Hunting skills. If you take advantage of them, you could quickly learn your mantra. I'll probably take some time to grind for skills. I won't force you all to watch that unfold though.

Whoever Angel is, it seems they're aware of Serph and are connected to Sera. As an aside, it seems like the flash of Color into a character's eyes represents when they awaken to a new personality. We've seen this with Heat, Argilla and Harley, now it seems to have happened to the leader of the Brutes.

As listed before, Harley is the first boss you encounter in the game, so he is made to be very easy to deal with. Hayagriva: An asura type demon. HP 600 MP 200 Voids Fire, AIlments Death and Expel. This thing followed us quite a ways. One might expect it to be weak to ice but it's not. I also almost lost so that was a bit embarrassing. All in all, it's a pretty good setup for a first boss.
What level was it that you were at when you fought him? What equipment?
I do not know how much farther ahead you are then what was seen in the video, but cook a Crunchy Leaf with an Aphid egg (you can buy one in the town shop you poked around in) to clear the breakfast quest.

You can really tell the difference between the original and added lines for Yuri...not sure Grant George did the best job subbing in for Troy Baker.
Okay noob question. How did you manage to use 3 artes consecutively? Is there a skill that lets you do that? And can I unlock it on my first playthrough?
So. There are different types of artes. Base (like Azure edge). Altered (Azure Blast). And Arcane (Brutal Fang). You can chain a base to arcane then arcane to altered for a 3 Arte chain. But, if you're in Overlimit, you can just kind of use Artes all willy-nilly as long as you have the TP for it.

I just wasted so many gels beating this guy on NG+ and it seems…suspicious that TH-cam is recommending this to me. I just beat him an hour ago
That is pretty suspicious. I wish the reward was a little better, but I suppose there are some ways that the Diamond could be useful this early. Though I don't think there are any enemies who use light attribute at this stage.
I would like to hear your thoughts on the Queen, and of Leif.
And I was not notified, thanks youtube. I'm not sure what to make of the Queen just yet, this is either going to be a red herring situation and she's just a bit anti-social or she's actually bad. I'll save it for when I know more. Leif on the other hand, I find it a little strange that Leif keeps using Plurals to refer to himself. Not sure if it's like a "I used to be Royal" situation but... Yeah it's just weird.
I wouldn't feel bad about how this first boss fight of yours went, you did win after all! Read on for unsolicited advice. While in most games stunning bosses isn't an option, in Bug Fables, YOU CAN! The more times you successfully freeze/stun a target, the more resistant to it they become.
So what you're saying is I could keep freezing it, but the more often something is frozen or stunned the less turns they're trapped for?

I appreciate it. Mostly just did this to see if it was actually a fight you could win, imagine my surprise when the recording was finished!
You missed a gem, first seen at 5:15, then again at 11:48. It is kind of funny, because I thought you HAD seen it, and that was why you turned around, but then you grab an item and walk away. Before I forget to say it, Snakemouth Den has one of the best music tracks in the game in my opinion, I find myself humming it at times.
If flying enemies are giving you trouble, now that you have three party members I would recommend putting Kabbu in the middle or the back, if you ever need him to tank some hits, just make him use taunt.

I hope you enjoy playing Bug Fables! I couldn't help but 100% twice, once on a normal save, and a second time with the hardest settings. Kabbu is probably my favorite character.
So far I've liked the game. I think I'm going to enjoy the rest of it if things keep going at the rate they are.

Sadly no, not until you do a NG+ cycle, or if you saved just before it. This fight against Kuchinawa is the only one in the game.

@@jeffreyknowles863 Sorry, wish I could help out. The least I can do is inform you that to get Kratos, you need to reject your other party members when they come to visit.

@@jeffreyknowles863 Try to enter the fight with Sheena as close to overlimit as you can, once Overlimit is active, cast Summon Shadow. You should also attempt to equip things that reduce fire damage. Since he has a strike that "Force staggers" which is fire attribute. Aside from that, you should always try to be behind Kuchinawa when you attack, due to Sheena's slower Normals, it's much harder to stagger targets.

In order to gain Black Frost you'll need to defeat him in the Prison once he's taken it over. After that, you then need to make your way down into the Amala Labyrinth's 3rd Kalpa in a section where Dante or Raidou (depends on version) chase after you, if you've beaten them in a fight, going back to the large square chamber will reveal Black Frost waiting for you, and he joins your party.

I don't know with certainty, but I'm pretty sure this was a battle added into the Definitive edition.

@@joeroach6498 Yeah more than likely. The Definitive edition has a couple other changes scattered about here and there, one of which being the introduction of a little pirate girl.

On NG+ this is very doable as long as you have the Fell Arms unlocked.

I also needed 9999 KILLS 10x exp AND BE on EASY MODE ONLY else he can still kill you in 1 WITHOUT it being a 10x exp run.
@@veghesther3204 nah. On higher difficulty you just need to be patient and guard. Don’t try any Unga Bunga combos be he will kill you. Do some bread and butter shit like Shining Fang + Dragon Swarm and then guard.
Are you only using equipment you can normally make or buy? I did play this game years ago, but I'm a bit rusty now. I know with enough grinding you can learn and max out all your tech moves, and i'm assuming your wearing a title costume that you get from doing all that. Im at level 27 with the Tsurugi plus one, and as much as defense as I could muster, but even on easy, I can't win, and I can't perfectly kite him enough with Azure Edge. Since you can't progress in the game, your equipment options should be severely limited.
You gain some level up redemptions if you have the Definitive edition of the game, using those you can boost your level quite a bit, it still doesn't make up the difference in stats due to equipment restriction though. You can also craft some slightly stronger gear with the item material redeems as well. Based on what I know, the gear I was able to make before coming to the forest was at least two dungeons ahead, not a massive boost, but still a good one.
This looks like a really cool and fun retro game!
It is, there's lots of stuff you can collect too. You can even have the duo talk during certain moments to get unique dialogue.

what level are you in the video?
Using some stuff from the Definitive bundle, I raised Yuri's level to be around 50 before trying to fight Don, it's still a difficult battle though due to how low your base states are. So you'll want to fight carefully. Try using your overlimit to break out of combos for instance. Brutal Fang will also be your friend in this fight, rapidly pressing B in time with Yuri's strikes will make you add more hits into it. Keep in mind that in the Definitive version of Vesperia, bosses have a revenge value where they'll enter a semi-invulnerable state to break your combo with one of their attacks, so if you can help it, strike Don from the back.

@@Death_13TH i know, i played this game in xbox 360 year 2020, i'm at after defeating barbos at that time, then i didn't play it again cause i so miss many side quests and using magic lens on all enemies, i already sold my copy and my xbox 360 is broken, this year i bought used xbox one for me to play this game again because the xbox 360 version doesn't have all the content release in it and also patty and flynn is not playable in there, so i bought the digital copy of tales of vesperia definitive edition

24:34 When I got to this point, I genuinely wrestled with the decision before eventually picking the safer reply, because I honestly didn't know what Lloyd would say if he didn't drop his protests right there and then. That was a very touching conversation... for multiple reasons. Short, but we get to see Lloyd's deeper thoughts on the matter, and Kratos's advice was incredibly profound. And so, Lloyd decides to fight... not just for himself and the victims who perished, but for his mother's life as well.

I kind of agree with what Lloyd said, but Colette was right as well about some people not having the courage. This result is the less painful of the two, at least in my opinion.
Such a tragic thing to happen. Virginia likely suffers from PTSD and other mental illness to the point that she can't even see her own children as flesh and blood. The whole conflict in Sylverant tore their family down.
Well, the conflict for that family took place in Tethealla actually, but you are correct in saying that she is suffering a form of PTSD. That's why I referred to her as "Tragic" If you come back some time after this event (usually one story event later) the old woman will mention that Virginia had left Exire. This lead some people to think that seeing Rain caused her to snap out of it just a little.

No, Xillia and Symphonia are in two completely different universes in the Tales series.

Is this the remastered version graphics are really downgraded compared to Gamecube version Ymir forest looks so much better there.
This isn't the remaster. The Steam version uses the PS2 graphics, however it's a bit of a bad port, so the community made a mod that fixes a couple of broken graphics.

This is technically my second time playing. I got to play some of Vesperia once when visiting a friend of mine a couple years back, it wasn't the definitive version though which does feature some differences.

Okay I change my mind, that scene between Judith and Yuri, is the exact opposite of you. I kept laughing during the speed up. Duke and Raven both quite interesting and mysterious characters.
I think the Blood Alliance and Imperial knights are working together to take over the kingdom. Also think Raven is double agent? Well I called it...however this isn’t the end at all. “Dragon Freak” I am gonna assume is a protector of Estelle. Theses are my thoughts as the video played.
