मैं उत्तराखंड टिहरी गढ़वाल से हूं हमारे यहां भी इसे लिंगड बोलते हैं जब हम अपने गाय बैलो को चराने लेजाते थे तब हम भी बहुत लाते थे ऐसे हमारे पहाड़ों में कहीं जंगली फल भी पाए जाते हैैं जैसे कि हिसर काली हिसर तिमला पया बेडू खजुर टाटी किनगोडू जामून कुमालु काफल
नेपाल में इसे न्यूरो (निंग्गरो) कहते हैं। इस की आलू और तिल के साथ चटनी बहुत ही स्वादिष्ट बनती है। इसमें आयरन प्रचुर मात्रा में पाया जाता है और इसे खेतों में नहीं उगाया जाता। यह नैसर्गिक रूप से ऊँची पहाड़ियों में छायादार नमी वाले स्थानों में होती है। इसे खाने से पेट भी साफ़ हो जाता है। (it is laxative in nature)

It's called 'lungdu'in kangra which is found abundantly in barot valley of chota bhangal and is sold in local markets in the season.I would recommend pickle of lungdu instead of vegetable.Similarly,vegetable & pickle of locally available lasora(gum berry)is quite popular.
This is called wood burner. Is there an oven ,l can not see?. This is a very common way of providing heat in the mountains in the swat,and Hunja valley. I think principal is the same . In kinnor the wood burner is in the middle of the room specially designated for family to sit togeather and may be cook.?Any way nice to know that this fern stem is edible.
