- Managed to get my hands on the latest reel from Kastking, the Royale Legend 3. There are quite a number of improvements over the Royale Legend 2. Watch to the end to see another newly released reel with dynamic braking that I managed to get as well!

Ive just rcv my brand new rl3 reel from shopee, the reel is good, even though the tention knob was loosen enough to let the spool free, while the brakes are sets to 0, its still capable to cast hard without backlash, and the most amazing is, the distance ive got around 40m ++ with 7gm soft frog, however.. I dont know if the reel has been manufactured like that or there was a defect, the cranking was a bit tight and got some jerking when crank it. Im not doing the pre-service at the first place before first time using the reel, anyone experience this?
never know royale legend 3 has drag clicker, saw it specs on shopee and lazada never mention about it, thanks for the review bro.

I have recently purchased this reel.
Whilst it is smooth and very nice in many ways it has a couple of major flaws .
The main thing being it is way overbraked.
It can be cast on zero brake setting and only one or 2 clicks it becomes too strong.
The drag clicker is terrible, makes the reel shudder and is rough and very plastic sounding.
The biggest problem is the brakes though
The magnetic ring is way too strong
I am going to get some self adhesive foil or copper tape and see if covering half the magnet helps.
It's a shame because otherwise a nice reel that has potential.

agreed i usually set the brakes at 3 and it feels like my tatula at 14

Hey buddy, it's long time since you released this video. Are you still fully satisfied by Royale Legend and Shary 3 ?
Sharky 3 yes, very satisfied. RL 3, not really. It is mainly due to the drag clicker. Vibrates too much and sounds plasticky.
@@fishingsingapore Oh really ? I was going to order a RL3 with a purelure rod. I red that the Sharky had a 5-30gr range for lure weights, do you agree with that ?
5g definitely is ok, with the correct rod. I went down to 3g with a UL rod. I haven't gone up to 30g before so can't comment on that.

The 3 is really nice. I took it out fishing a few days ago for a casting test and it performed beautifully and can cast down to about 4g. Unfortunately I lost the footage due to SD card error. Will go do another session!

@@HantuHaruanyes bro i used a bone hoverjet 130f (28g) (at lower seletar can cast further than net barrier from jetty) and it is good for long cast but for lighter lure like 10 gram jerkbait cant really long cast... but good for toman haha even caught my pb toman at malaysia using this reel
