I was planning to buy SR150, since I can't afford their 4 cylinders and wanted something fun for myself which my wife and sisters can enjoy too. I guess I now have one more option.

Update: Multiple reports of this being a speedo error as found in other Aprilias as well. Now it is evidently clear that its actually a 100ish speed in reality.

@@bincekoch How is it better than the SR 125? 12 inch tyres compared to the 14s of SR, No disc brake and hence extremely dangerous at top speeds, buggy old school speedo from the 90s. This is one of the stupidest things I've seen a company do to desperately get into the 125cc fanbase. At least give it a proper disc brake and then it will be a decent and safe option for riders.

oh man... 1 lakh 70k Jawa with 297cc engine and liquid cooling struggles to do 125kmph this machine is doing it with ease...awesome
@crimsonVoldrox I agree bro...even though its not exact but I hope it can make atleast 100kmph which is extra ordinary when you take the price into consideration...I wish they gave oil cooling and a 10 litre fuel tank in this for touring...I know its too much. atleast for SR 150

Dino bro at first when i rode aprilia 125 @60kmph i felt like it was going @45. And when i did a full throttle yes it reached 120+(obvious) and i believed it so until i watched a video with a gps speed. It was given a drag with hornet. Hornet showed 126 in its speedo while aprilia reached usual 120+.but it never caught up with hornet.the gps speed showed 100+ and not 120+.i am not criticising aprilia but they could actually accurate the speedo.Dino bro plz i dont think none have given a proper drag between thr tvs ntorq125 VS aprilia sr125 disc.great appreciation if u could a video comparing both..anyway thumbs up brotha

120kmph without disc brakes is insane
braking is pretty fair even with drum brakes but disc will be a better option.

@@ajik81 Because they have just introduced Storm 125 and ntorq has been in the market for quite a while.
@@mjshaheed its not true.. Aprila has already launched SR 125 a long time back. The storm is just a new variant they have launched.
@@ajik81 bcoz they know that ntorq would kick the ass of the Sr 125 in drag race, so they thought of not uploading it as they don't want to downgrade the image of Aprilia.
Speedometer is not accurate . Can you do a vbox test . I still feel that ntorq is the fastest 125 scooter ( it's just my opinion ).
I have got a Yamaha ray z and I rode to work on dirt road everyday...and most of the time I don't feel confident in it than I would feel in a proper bike

my pulsar 150 struggles to go past 115kmph, this scooter is insane! must be the power to weight ratio for that speed!
Naah...there is a speedo error in most Aprilias. This one is running at around 100 to 105 kmph in reality.

As some other people mentioned in the comments, I too have seen people pointing out that the speedometer is not accurate on the Aprilia.
If it's showing 120km/h then it's probably close to 100-105km/h.
Its probably 90kmph.

Storm 125 is a performance orientated scooter and so it's obvious for it to achieve high speed in no time and with those chunky tyres it is really very good for off road conditions as well. But I think NTorq 125 is still the overall best in the 125cc segment for its overall performance, features and suspension setup met for city rides as well as high speed highway rides.

Dino, awesome video as usual...one question to help me decide - does it actually perform smoother and better than the SR 150?
the fatter tyres really do help and do make a difference in offering enhanced road grip, chassis and suspension are stiffer with hard foam seat just to give superb confidence while doing 100+ kmph speeds.

to the people who are saying its real speed is not 120..i have travelled in 100 kmph in a car and i can tell by seeing i can make a perfect guess of the speed..even if it didnt go 120 it still got more than 110 kmph

Hey guys, I purchased a new aprilia sr 160 bs6 carbon edition recently, and it's been 15 days now, clocked 100 kms, I have been riding it under 55kmph, but I just thought of seeing how fast could it clock, but I was shocked as its reaching 60 with ease but it's struggling to cross 65.... Is this normal with a new bike? Or is there something drastically wrong??. Also when I spin the front wheel on the centre stand freely, there is a slight scratchy sound from the disc, are these 2 issues normal? Please do reply as I'm getting paranoid. 😥
