Excellent! Thank you. I have your rtx2000 adapter I just received. Can I glue it on the roof first and cut with jig saw as in this video? 2024 170 sprinter.

Yes. Put a tape line about 1/4" out from perimeter of the adapter. Then spread the beads of sikaflex 221 on the face of the adapter. Press it onto roof and then make a fillet around the perimeter with your finger. Remove tape, wait 22 hours an then cut hole.

Just bought your framing. Top and bottom. How many cartridges of Sikaflex 221 do I need per Maxxair? Need to install 2.

You'll want two tubes of Sikaflex 221 and one tube of Dicor per vent. Make sure you clean and de-gloss (scotchbrite pad) the roof and apply 3 continuous beads of adhesive on face of adapter. Do not use alcohol as it inhibits the cure of the adhesive . It helps to warm up the tube of Dicor so it flows better. I usually spread and smooth it out to get a good coat. Apply painters tape around adapter when gluing and sealing to get a clean edge. Remove it right away.

Isn't Sikaflax 521 UV is better for outside and Sikaflax 221 for inside ? Also, where do yo use the Decor ? is that Decor 501LSW-1 Self-Leveling Lap ? Thanks

There are a number of urethane based structural adhesives that are suitable. We have had great results with 221 and always cover it with a membrane or lap sealant like Dicor.
