Read the questions carefully. Paper 3 is not that heavy but requires you to take your time to read, understand and figure out how to solve the Excel problems. It is normal for you to read the question the first time and have no idea what to do Analyse the spreadsheets, read the question, repeat 3 to 4 times and each time it will make more sense. If itis a difficult 10+ mark question it means that you will need to take the time to figure it out. Any time you have at the end, use it to check and double check your printouts. I always tell my students that they only finish after they have found 3 mistakes in their work.
Well done! that's the way to do it. Solve a paper and don't get any help from my videos so that you can identify your weaknesses. Then use the videos to resolve your issues. Do it this way and yes, the videos will help you change the way you think and approach a paper, and your skills will definitely improve every time you tray a new paper. Thanks for your comment.

hi sir, just finished my p3 and overall it went well thanks to you! but i had trouble with a question that asked to use nested if function for selected cells but i tried it out several times but still couldn’t managed to do it so i ended up doing an ifs function instead bc it more or less gives me the same results… how much marks would i lose there from a total of 9? TT oh and there was a question which wanted me to calculate an average but most of the results was so long due to many decimal places so would i lose any marks if i added a round function to them all up to 1 decimal places? honestly im disappointed that i forgot how to use the nested if function even though i thought i had prepared myself really well for this by practicing and watching ur videos… only the webpage part was super easy but majority of the marks comes from spreadsheets so im abit worried
Not unless you are asked to show evidence of your file. However if you do not save it ad an Excel work book and you close the file and then open it yoy will most likely lose all your formulas. So, best to save as an Excel workbook.
@@paphitisn i already finihsed my igcse last week did everything all formating formulas everything wwas correct and followed all instruction and got all the printouts the only thing is i didtn save it as an excel workbook , so if the examiner checks my excel file will i lose all the makrs because the formatting and my formulas would be gone
That is fine. If for some reason you closed your file and in your pritouts tou found a mistake then you would be in trouble because when youbwould gave opened the file toncirrect the mostake your formulas would not be there.
Hi Nicos, i have a question. I am trying to print only cells a1:c75 in step 8. However, when i select it it still displays columns A to F and i dont know what im doing wrong. Could you tell me why that happens? thank you
Yes i should have chosen selected area. I did mention it but doing the exercise and explaining at the same time sometimes diverts my focus. Yes, you would choose the selected area. Try this. Go to the Print Layout tab to view the print layout ribbon. In the ribbon in the middle somewhere there are 2 small sections: Gridlines and Headings. Both have 2 tick boxes called View and Print. In the Headings section tick the box labeled Print. Check the print preview and you should see the row and column headings.
