Great video, thank you! Very creative wrap and details! Will be looking forward to how you camp out of truck bed w/ DiamondBack - that would be my preferred way too. 😊
I appreciate that you review the truck based on one actually owning it and 2 actually putting it to use. All these Toyota haters following a trend of bashing the engine and complaining about everything that has to do with the truck. Well done man!
Got a 2022 Tacoma Off Road Pro with a 4Wheel Camper on the back. Stock gearing is way inadequate so this coming week I'm installing 5.29's ... hopefully solves the constant shifting I get on long grades. I upgraded my tires to 265/75 16" BFG KO2's .. stock were 265/70 16" Just did the White Rim trail out of Moab and did Toroweap too .. no problems.
It turns out the design of the rims on the Trailhunter are perfectly designed for trail damage. If you look at the Pro rims they're dished out where the trailhunter's rims kind of stick out, they look cool though.
love the wrap and im usually not a fan. i got my trd pro in terra can't wait to take it out on the trails, what trail did you do in this video? looks amazing!
Have been leaning towards the Trailhunter for a long time but your video now has me re-thinking things and actually considering the TRD PRO. The only thing that held me back was the seats and were they really worth it. Plus the extra space they take up in the back was a big concern. Wondering your thoughts on the extra room they take up and if you have measured or compared how much extra room in the back they take up compared to the trailhunter/other trims
Tacoma guys after buying a gen 3 " these trucks should come with 33 inch tires" same tacoma guy after buying a gen 4 " these Tacomas should come with 35 inch tires" 🤯
@@TalonSeiGreat channel…..please keep the wonderful content coming. Can post a vid on how to enhance Starlink, 12v conversion, pros/cons of mini, how you prefer to mount it to the roof, and capabilities of switching it from one vehicle to another? Thank you.
Very carefully without driving off a cliff at the same time 😅 I have been shooting video with drones for a long time so you get better with more practice and repetition 👍🏼
This suspension is way different and better in almost every way compared to the 24s that have been having that issue… which from what I have seen was one truck with some brutal stress testing.
I'm starting with a different truck but I'm really enjoying your ideas and insights with this build. Q: What in particular didn't you like about the military type Black Rhinos?
@@TalonSei Thanks for the A. I was wondering that and whether brakes heat up too much and fade on long, steep descents. It's hard to research and I'm not "in" w peeps in the right circles. See you on the next one!
Great video. I have the 24 trailhunter and I really love it. The only problem is that I am only getting 15-17mpg and I should be averaging 20+. Does anyone have any input on this?
Sorry to ask a dumb "non truck" question, but us 4Runner guys are known to do that... what trail were you running there? I've only run Cinnamon Pass thru Ophir Pass before, but would like to head back to Colorado soon. Thanks
Dumb question to those who may deem it dumb I guess, but any chance have you tried or at least from at a glance can you remove the iso dynamic suspension mechanism while keeping the seats itself? Already made the decision of getting a Tacoma some time next year and as my first big boy purchase I’ve settled with the pro with intentions of keeping it till the wheels fall off. I love everything about it but would like to have the option of removing the suspensions when having people in the back seats. Off road is my obvious second choice
Now, add some front lower control arm bump stops, before it ejects a shock thru its top cap.. Toyota deleted that in this gen, on all trims. Same with 6th gen 4Runners..
Badass! Beautiful camo wrap that symbolizes the mountains around you!
Step by step video on DB cover for the tacoma. Millions want to see it. Looks good.
The orange handle accents are the icing on the cake 🤌 this is my favorite 4th gen build out rn. Awesome vid brother!
I hate to be the one to tell you this. But I dont think the "Camo" is working. It's super easy to spot in those mountains.
I don’t think he’s trying to blend in Einstein

It’s called sarcasm, folks. Lol
Nice truck. Beautiful country. Yup !

The truck looks great!! 🔥 Can’t wait to see it in person at Expo! 😃
I’ll cya there!

Hey, I know that road. Heading up to Sneffels trailhead? What a fun drive.
wow that wrap looks awesome, love the accent colors! and the wheels... *Cheif's kiss*
Epic views! That suspension looks so nice in action!
That wrap/color scheme is sick! 🔥🔥🔥
Like he said its a good looking truck.

Great breakdown video. Very little B-roll and instead just you talking about the truck we see. #greatjob
Love the wrap!! Sick customization !
I'm starting to think you and Mike are having a competition to see who can put the most Diamondback covers on the most trucks. 😂
I like the urban body wrap. It's cooler than cool.
Looking good. Dig the stock truck with minor tweaks.
love the wrap and im usually not a fan. i got my trd pro in terra can't wait to take it out on the trails, what trail did you do in this video? looks amazing!
The Tacoma is looking great! #Twinning with the Supra.
Wrap is dope
Stealth camping in back of the truck without A tent is so much cooler in my opinion. Need more stealth camping from u
amazing video and shots as always

....."we've just been mobbing around in the San Juan's" 😂 🤙🏼
Okay that looks pretty sick
Looks great I do like black wheels better but your choice your vehicle

Out of all your rides over the years which one is your favourite. Good channel the Tacoma is looking good.
If I could only have one vehicle… The SEI mode is my favorite
That was an excellent video. Great information. Thank you!
Nicely Done TS I just did an in depth on the trail hunter, still looking for a TRD to film.
Awesome vids as always. Love the new ride and set up. Just curious, what is that on your roof? Is that star link or some solar panel?
Starlink that I had converted to a true 12v. Just slap it on the roof, plug into 12v and go 👍🏼
@@TalonSeiGreat channel…..please keep the wonderful content coming. Can post a vid on how to enhance Starlink, 12v conversion, pros/cons of mini, how you prefer to mount it to the roof, and capabilities of switching it from one vehicle to another? Thank you.
Brushed wheels are back! Time to break out the ‘98 American Racing directionals. 😂
Awe man, I forgot ‘bout you owning a RZR…you are a collector/doer of Stuff ‘n Things, tho👍🏼
I would go with red handles
nice review! we'll see you at OE Mtn West!
Thanks! Cya there 🤘🏼
Looks beautiful.!!!!
Where did you film this? The views are amazing!
Up in the San Juan mountains in Colorado
Dude this is the best 4gen tacoma out there mind you I have a 4gen too love it
🙏🏼🙏🏼 appreciate that man!
Maybe you can edit your tire size using a scan tool/ computer
How do you get those crazzy drone shots? Big fan from India 🇮🇳
Very carefully without driving off a cliff at the same time 😅 I have been shooting video with drones for a long time so you get better with more practice and repetition 👍🏼
Such a cool ride. Are you still going to do the Kimbo in the winter?
Thanks! Yeah Kimbo will be on the Tundra this year 👌🏼
Looks great man!
Love the wrap
Did you fix the bump stop issue everyone is having. Can't believe they put the bump stop in the shock lol.
The weight. Those bolt style wheels get heavy.
@@TalonSei Thanks for the A. I was wondering that and whether brakes heat up too much and fade on long, steep descents. It's hard to research and I'm not "in" w peeps in the right circles. See you on the next one!
Good review and preety cool 35's fit on stock pro edition suspension, how's gearing going up hills? can do a review on seats with shocks?
The hybrid + 8speed transmission does great up hills. No noticeable power loss with 35s. Seat video will be coming soon
Great video. I have the 24 trailhunter and I really love it. The only problem is that I am only getting 15-17mpg and I should be averaging 20+. Does anyone have any input on this?
Any idea when these wheels might be releasing
Great looking truck 🔥🔥💙
Great info on fitting 35’s! No lift for the truck, right?
The Pro is already the tallest trim from the factory but I believe you can do this with any of the models without a lift.
Sweet ride!
I saw your 3rd Gen in Hamburg the other day!
That’s an east coast truck now 👌🏼
I am about to put 35s on my trail hunter - did you notice a big change in power / handling / braking
Almost zero change. The truck handles it great.
Sold. I’m doing it.
@@TalonSei I’m cussing it came with super light 33s for mpg numbers etc
What offset are your wheels?
Will you end up lowering your gear ratio on this truck like you did on the third, gen
With the amount of power this truck has and the 8 speed transmission, I don’t think I will need to.
How do you charge the battery for the Tacoma? Is it charged by breaking or do you plug it in?
Regen when coasting and braking. Also when idling.
Gotta have 4.10 gears or similar with that size tire.
8 speed transmission handles it with zero issue.
Would you be bringing the Tundra to the expo as well?
Not to this next one
why does this tacoma on 35s look as low to the ground as a 3rd gen on 33s?
Nice
Sorry to ask a dumb "non truck" question, but us 4Runner guys are known to do that... what trail were you running there? I've only run Cinnamon Pass thru Ophir Pass before, but would like to head back to Colorado soon. Thanks
What type of gas use on this truck? 91or87?
I think it calls for 87 but I have been using 91 when I can.
Got a video about you selling your third gen? Is this video the only place you mentioned that?
No video, mentioned it in a few videos, podcasts and made a post about it on Instagram too.
Can you measure your bicep in the next video? Really slow?
Anything for you 😉
Are you going no spare, or where are you planning to put it? Not underneath with those 35s.
Haven’t decided long term yet. For now I just have a gluetred kit
nice wrap
how about the spare tire? 35" fit underneath just fine?
It wouldn’t fit without some modification. Going to figure out a solution for that later. For now… gluetread

Diamondback do a Silverado version?
They sure do 👍🏼
Just checked their site -- all good
Yankee Boy Basin - epic spot!
Was that a starlink on top of your roof?
Yup, 12v converted so just 1 plug and you have internet everywhere. Easy to move between vehicles.
Is that a star link on the roof?
Yup. Talked about it briefly in this video - th-cam.com/video/lis8PymTAX4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qpg24kwKMcVXBFVD
I cant find those wheels on there site?
This is the very first set out in the wild. They will be releasing on the website soon 👍🏼
Nice new ride I just picked up my Zr2 and I love it
U gonna be at overland expo east?
Nope, just mountain west.
Isn’t this the truck with the bump stop issues?
You are probably talking about the Icon suspension video and that was on a TRD Off Road. No issues so far with the upgraded fox suspension on the Pro.
14:03 👀
Now, add some front lower control arm bump stops, before it ejects a shock thru its top cap.. Toyota deleted that in this gen, on all trims. Same with 6th gen 4Runners..
Everyone sees one video and loses their minds 🥴
Good news everybody Toyota announced the 2025 Toyota Tacoma. They’re bringing back the V6 engine.
I believe that was an April fools joke lol
Not my flavor... But not my truck. To each their own.... Respect.
What we are hearing and seeing is once more weight is added is the turbo is overheating.
man can we got 1440p at least.....1080 is bad ...on 49 screen ....
Nothing but issues with the new Tacomas and Tundras.
Haven’t had a single issue with either of them yet
@@TalonSei that’s great. You got yourself a unicorn!!
No bump stops is a issue
This truck has bump stops, and even hydro bumps in the rear. The Pro FOX QS3 suspension has been amazing so far for a factory optioned truck.
Fox IFP bumps in the rear on Trd pro
Esas llantas tipo vieja escuela no me gustan nada en esa camioneta, son incompatibles con el color camuflaje. Negro mate quedaría bien
back seats space .. 😶
No bump stop
Talon if I may beg your indulgence,🫡 sir can style & profile the new version of M41A-PulseRifle, I-salute 🫡,you sir.
