I bought the UM Tactical mount and holster for my S&W SD9 VE and I do have to admit that I’m torn between if I like or dislike it? On one hand it does do everything they claim it does (holster works perfectly) just not as easy as it is shown in all the videos, It goes on very hard and comes back off the same way, I actually had it go flying across the room taking it off once…its that hard to get off, and most videos show how you can take it off without needing to remove the optic! And my optic is a $225 Burris fast fire 3 not taking that kind of a chance! I’m sure if you have a Glock you probably don’t have this issue, but the…. it will fit on anything with a rail under the barrel, you may run into this issue with certain handguns also?
I am thinking of maybe going to the rear sight mount plate to avoid all this and get the bore axis down more, being on the slide, but with the money I have invested into this set up I might just run it for this summer and If it turns out im making a mountain out of a mole hill I will keep it if not for the xtra $20 I will get the slide mount plate?

Hello. Will poi be too low if 5-7 yard shooting since unit mounts a lot higher than the sights? Thanks.
