- Millions have been urged to leave Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton's arrival. Thirteen counties are under mandatory evacuation, and seven others are under voluntary evacuation. CBS News New York's Lonnie Quinn and senior national weather correspondent Rob Marciano report.
Well, the only person that won’t die in this is the cameraman so we’ll get to see how wicked this epic storm hits.

I hate when they hit in the middle of the night... I end up staying up through the whole thing... add on all the stress.... it's exhausting. Even worse is the lose of power and humid heat wave that follows.

Some people can't afford to, but the others, they'll be wearing those t-shirts claiming they survived the worst storm in a hunnit years, as the recovery teams pull their stenched bodies out of some other address..... days and weeks later.
@@IamRyanLPs I lived in FL. Sometimes it's just not fiscally viable to leave. Some have no place to evacuate to. I only stayed because I was working for the cable company at the time so I was needed as soon as the storm passed.
Where are the news reports about airlines raising prices in Florida to 3 or 6 times more than the normal costs?

All that debris is from flooded houses.... all of that will probably get swept into the bay when the storm serge goes back out. Anyone whose still in that area (and actually able to be hit by the debris) deserves a Darwin Award for not evacuating in the first place. That whole area is a graveyard waiting to happen.

This. They need to have contraflow on all highways and roads directing traffic away from the Gulf coast and going north for anyone evacuating via car - they need to get out of the path of this thing. Really concerning...
Need it open for emergency personnel going south. Did you see the convoy of Duke trucks heading south to be ready to be ready to repair downed lines, etc, right after the storm passes?

there are some that do, these are older homes, mobile parks, trailers. We are fine. Inland fares well most of the time, No need to leave.
