  • Join me as I journey into the depths of the Hürtgenwald forest to uncover the harrowing story of the Battle of Hill 400. This mini-documentary takes you to the very location where one of World War II's most intense and grueling battles took place, offering a unique glimpse into the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought there.
In this video, we visit the site of Hill 400, a strategic high ground that saw fierce fighting between American and German forces in late 1944. This battle was part of the larger Hürtgen Forest campaign, a series of battles that were among the longest and most brutal in the European theater.
    Highlights of this documentary include:
    On-Site Exploration:
Walk with me through the dense Hürtgenwald forest as we locate key battle sites from the conflict.
    Historical Context:
Learn about the strategic importance of Hill 400 and the broader Hürtgenwald campaign, including the challenges faced by both sides.
    Personal Stories:
Hear the compelling and often heart-wrenching stories of soldiers from the 2nd Ranger Battalion, who played a pivotal role in the battle. Their courage and tenacity are brought to life.
    Unique Footage:
See never-before-seen visuals of the battlefield, that provide a overview of the terrain and the strategic positions held during the conflict.

Nice video, thanks, i have been there 2 months ago, i took the small trail from the small village of Zerkall, hard to imagne that men had to go op there to fight, it was realy steep, they were heroes for sure, The Kall-trail is also a great place to make a video i think, been there aswell, greetings Eric

Thanks so much, Eric! It’s incredible that you’ve been to the same place. I agree, it’s hard to imagine what those men went through, especially given how steep and challenging the terrain is. They truly were heroes. I’ll definitely look into the Kall-trail for a future video-thanks for the suggestion!
