I’m interested in a good quality waterproof boat cover. I’m in a hotter sunny climate but winter wind and rains take a toll also. Based on your experience and reviews, I will buy one.
I'm thinking some of these "positive" videos are paid by Sealskin. My experience was a huge headache. Just returned by SECOND Sealskin cover for a full refund. This company got me hooked by their slick marketing, pricing, and "warranty." The so-called multi-layer material was super thin, the first cover they sent was 3-4 feet too long (even though they listed the year, make and model of my boat), so I returned it for a second one that turned out 3 feet too short! Should have done my homework, read the negative reviews, then keep shopping. Would not recommend this company.
I'll guarantee you my video wasn't paid for by sealskin. All of my product review videos are of products I've paid for myself with zero discount from the manufacturer first. Hell, my channel only has 850 subs. Most companies won't even talk sponsorship unless you've got 40k+ subs. The cover isn't perfect. It is more cost affordable than annual shinkwrap. And it does breath unlike shinkwrap. But ya, 3 winters and mine is done an in need of replacement. I'm trying to sell our boat right now to upgrade. So.im not sure if I'm going to reach out to try and get them to replace this one under warranty or not.

@@jamesbaldridge7215I too was sucked out of my hard earned money with this company. First order I got did not match my boat. Returned the first order and got the second cover and it ended up being over sized. Called customer service and they said now I have to pay for shipping. It was a headache that I didn’t want, so I ended up keeping it. I few months went by and I noticed the cover started fading and having mildew inside the cover, small holes starting appearing and when it rains, the inside of cover would have water dripping into my boat. Never again from this rip off company.

I ordered exactly the right size ,actually called & talked to a live person and was sent terribly wrong size. Have to jump through hoops to return!
From what I’ve seen i think the long straps go over the top to the opposite side through those sewn on eyelets.
I believe you're correct. However, I think that over all design is for boats without high rails around the edge. As pulling a strap over the top creates a low spot so snow can't run off the sides.
Are you traveling with this cover also or just storage?
It's strictly for winter storage. It doesn't fit super tight. So really not ideal for traveling.
You need to put a plastic bottle over the end of your wood supports.
Curious if you called Seal Skin for a replacement covered under their 10 yr warranty. If so, how did that go?
No not yet.. thinking I'll do that here in a few weeks once I uncover the boat. They no longer list a cover of this size on thier website. So, getting them to honor a warranty feels like it might be hard at this point since they may not have stock to replace it.

What denier waas this cover?
@jaredstafford5565 suppliers website says 1200.. I'm not sure if that is all their covers or just this one

My brand new cover leaks and the tripod pole is broke ,,worst cover I have ever seen!!
