Damn Rav, that hurt to watch. Played a game where we were 19-7, had 2 drakes and herald, but because jg decided to split instead of doing drag, their jg stole it and mid ran it down and fed Kat. The mental in this game is weak as hell.
Honestly this is on their team. They knew the kha was hard tilt/trolling. They should have never EVER expected to get a dragon soul unless Echo was dead and they were Drake blocking. They needed to bait Echo kill him them block the other team from Drake. You're telling me they allowed Drake to get taken 4 times......sorry but no. Also I would likely have done the same thing as Rav because league tilts me off the face of the earth. It's why I stopped playing that game. The fact one single person can objectively lose you a game through their direct intentions is nuts.
Wow this dude really said "this is why I quit league" and will never even realize he's the problem himself. Nothing even happened that might trigger a mental boom, he just made some really dumb decisions/plays and blamed his team and exploded the moment someone had internet issues for a few minutes despite his teammates playing well all the way through.
He's a victim of his own tilt from the DC, but that's not any reason to mental boom, even it is the leading culprit. I'm sure he would have done all the same things even if she hadn't of DC'd
@ Lollifant 5 people like this will only look at the bad things that happen, they will frustrate themselves without saying anything and then BOOM one thing happens that they can use as an excuse to give up and they will give up because of it. People like this don't climb because every game is a "this team doesn't deserve it" or "ff15 go next" even though it's like their 10th "next". They're just too mentally done with the game to even realise how easy they can win.
When I started playing league I already knew of its infamous reputation. I promised I will never be one of those players to add to it and enjoy the game as much as I could. That was season 7. I never griefed, inted, rage quit, harass in chat, curse, open or give up even if the others wanted to sometimes leaving me to clear minion waves in a 4 afk game until natural loss. If you want the community to be better you have to be the player you want to see. If all the good people leave we're left with the horrible ones. I complain about league because I love the game and want it to be better and always improving!
Season 7 was much better than the current one. Far more item and champion variety, actually enjoyable games even if your enemy had the team diff because 1v9ing was a thing, and actually being excited for new champs.
Agreed. I'm also similar and the most I ever do is a bit of passive aggressiveness in chat but because I don't actually flame or be toxic, never got a ban of any kind and am usually honor 4 or 5 every end of season.
@@jbroge @divirnth You're both only looking at lp gains and that's part of the problem. Especially with all the comeback mechanics in game I don't think players know what a truly unwinnable game even looks like. It's also still a game not a job, sometimes you can play it through knowing you'd probably lose. This is especially so in anything plat or below where people hard throw ALL the time and with diminishing returns on kills, unless the person fed is some 1v9 champ played by a god player, it just means there is a big bounty for your team carry to collect and the person feeding will catch up pretty easily.
This game teaches you 'collective responsibility'. You cannot be deadweight and absent-mindedly play. Everyone is just as important. The lack of responsibility is comparable to an infant, and it is even more ugly when it is an infant teenager or adult who plays like a child. The skill is not even the problem, the issue is this pathological mindset.
@@nininho4964 oh trust me you care. If you had a choice between a Yone who does his job but question pings everything you do and some shitbird who is just quiet but messes everything up you wouldn't even hesitate
i feel like deadweight every time i leave bots tbh. I know what i like to play, but i lack the skills to do it well, and when that leads to my lane opponent snowballing because my skill caps out so low you have to dig for it, i can't apologize enough to my entire team. To all the people who says, that they quitted League and feel happy: You may "quit" league, but league will never "quit" your soul and heart. The fact, that you're still watching these videos is a proof of that.
Maybe, but I don't watch because I enjoy watching the matches. I watch laughing at the stupidity that used to ruin my matches. It's a hilarious, yet chilling, reminder why I quit.
but I don't watch league though. I watch Rav. Honestly he could be playing candy crush as background and I still wouldn't care since he has such a way with the words.
I wish I could say that I found it hard to believe that your jungler failed 2 smites and then blames the team. But the other day I was playing ahri support and my adc kaisa killed the first 3 minions before I was in exp range due to my junglers sloppy early gameplay. She didn't hold that Q just wanted them dead and then went all in at level 2 and I was obviously still level 1 so we lost an easily winnable fight into a jinx who ended up on 15hp so that was terrible. Then my diana jungler decides the logical response to being red side and having a losing and pushed in bot is to invade blue side krugs... right behind the recently fed jinx... right as the enemy jungler turns up to do krugs. She then dies and goes "Omfg I can't believe you locked in ahri this game." and thats literally the state of this game lmfao. People making mistakes and either being wildly ignorant or toxic cunts. Sometimes I wish I could just uninstall and have my life back. Not how addiction works. Love how its my fault she was greedy though.
A lot of junglers I've realised fall victim to this. Or rather a lot of players do but for junglers it's more obvious. It's such a simple thing too. If your lanes have prio you can get objectives and invade. If they don't have prio, that means lanes are open to ganks. A very simple check that apparently few junglers do until like diamond.
Your adc should’ve been watching your stats but you should’ve been in lane instead of covering for the jungle (first off you’re on ahri so it’s not like your leash was a great one) Second wave management is so important.in 2v1 you don’t want the enemy to have the wave in their corner So yea You trolled them. With a champ that has one form of cc in a role all about babysitting and farming Stop blaming everyone but yourself for your bad picks and decisions All inning level 2 was obvi the move as you said the enemy adc left with 15 hp and if a supp is locking in ahri you might as well call it gg because you obvi weren’t coming in to do your job (going q first why? What damage do you need to do? What are you gaining starting damage instead of a 2 second charm that has the enemy walking uncontrollably towards you) You can’t meme properly so no one wants it in their game. If it was norm who cares but in ranked . you trolled
@@Awesombynature First, you didn't even read the comment properly because it's the kai'sa q the op was talking about. Also writing off ahri supp, in this meta. Also you play the game based on how it is, not how it's not. The kai'sa is the one who made the mistake not accounting for level difference, regardless of if the sacrifice was the right thing to do or not. Autos are also most of a leash even if just one person is there. There also wasn't any mention of where the wave was when the first 2v2 happened.
@@Awesombynature We had a 5 man invade attempt that failed. I had to recall and Kai'sa didn't so she got to lane first. She then used Q on the 3 melee minions about two seconds before I was in exp range. She saw me recall and didn't check if I was close enough before killing the minions. Worst case she should have last hit them only so I got all or 2/3 of the minion exp so we could plan for a level 2. Also she should have known I'd be behind exp and not gone for an all in as soon as she hit 2 as a result. I didn't troll them at all if anything they trolled me. I literally pinged my exp :D Also ahri support isn't a bad pick its basically morgana with extra steps. You're part of whats wrong with this game if you're blaming my pick and the adc only had 15hp because I fucking ignited them and their karma support body blocked for the jinx knowing that I couldn't charm through her, my last AA reduced the jinx to 15. Thus me saying if I was level 2 its a guaranteed kill because either my Q or my W instant kills Jinx there. So do fuck off :D :D :D Edit: I obviously took my E first. I landed it. I landed ignite before heal came out. I did everything possible at level one. Again you're literally proof of my point in my original post that you clearly didn't read. Let me quote "People making mistakes and either being wildly ignorant or toxic cunts" you fall into this category. Wildly ignorant. Toxic cunt.
The worst of all is that this community is spreading. A dude on the New world forum suggested that the instanced PvP mode needs a forfeit vote mechanic. Luckily people laughed at him
It’s not just league, people online are toxic because they can hide behind their anonymity of their computer screens, there are several games where toxicity lives but not many are decided by teams rather than individuals, an example is you can go 20/0 in CoD and carry your team that just die on repeat but league it’s almost impossible with how the game is set up. If you look outside of games Reddit and Twitter come to mind on how toxic people online can be, league isn’t the root of toxicity they are already out there. I wrote a whole dissertation on how people act online is a reflection of society as a whole because they don’t filter themselves like they would irl. Not many people would call someone a trash can irl for fear of physical retribution

I spoke to someone who quit league a while ago recently and they spoke about it like it was some terrifying abusive thing that destroyed their life and they won’t ever touch again. CraY.
I thought we have another Dunkey quitting league type of a situation going on. I mean, I would not blame you, but I am happy that you will still provide the vastly superior subsitute to playing the game myself just to end up hating my life.
Dunkey wants to play good games and enjoys analyzing the quality of the games. Rav is more like an anthropologist, he enjoys practicing his abilities while analyzing the people. Just different types of gamers. Some like campaign, some like multiplayer.
As a top main, it usually goes like this You won a 1v2 against TOP and JUNGLE You start B Announcer announce drake stolen Your team lost a 4v3 They start pinging your TP Top is useless
I had a game tonight where our Gwen dc'd and Thresh and Kai were arguing all game. Instead of yelling at them I only talked positively and I am usually a rager when this happens. Told them they were both amazing and to get work together and we could win it. They finally got their heads in the game, stopped split pushing and dying and grouped up. We won a 4v5. I was playing Lissandra and we snagged a kill at enemy base, it spawned a lich and that lich proceeded to get me a quadra allowing us to end.
rav summarises what its actually like to be silver/low gold when you are maybe a little bit better than your current elo, but no way near good enough to hardcarry so stay hardstuck.
I think even tyler1 got stuck in Gold when he was doing the jungle challenge. So even if you are a Challenger level player you can get stuck in Gold. He climbed out of Gold because of 2 reasons. 1 he is a Challenger level player so he can obviously carry his games a lot easier and 2, he happens to play around 20 games a day which makes climbing easier. Now let's say I'm a player who is Plat level skillwise but I'm stuck in Gold and can't get out. How the fuck do I get out if a proven Challenger level jungler also got stuck in this elo for a week, and the only reason he was out after a week is because in that time he played 100 games, which is about as many as I play in half a season? Game is fucked.
I didn't quit league yet, but I definitely quit ranked, didn't play them almost for last one and a half seasons. Decided to try again at the start of season 12, first game was a blast, got fed, team was okay, we got objectives and won. The 2 games after that... Oh boy. I played moderately well, safe if enemies got a kill or two on me or if jungler was in my area, but what can you do if you have a teemo jungle who has no idea how to jungle, and a tryndamere who dies to Darius as soon as he gets back to the lane, while bot gets jungle camped and still keeps overextending... And it was just one game :/ Last game I didn't play so well, basically lost the lane, but so did everyone else, while continuing to argue and yell at each other... The problem with league is, that if you lose - you basically just wasted about 30-40 minutes of your life for nothing, and in case of ranked, you even lose LP on top of that. And it makes people ravenous for the wins, and very angry if they lose, with only some exceptions. This is why I mostly switched to Planetside 2 lately. You screw up there - you die, you respawn, try again. And you get progress for everything useful that you do - healing, killing, repairing things, etc. It never feels like your time is wasted and it's probably the feeling that game devs should avoid invoking in their playerbase at all costs. Cause if you didn't have fun, and the game is sometimes tilting to even win a match, people start quitting it.
Been playing since 2012, finally climbed to D3 solo as a support main. Ive seen it all. When I can, I’m as kind and guiding as possible, it’s just a shame that I have to mute everyone at the beginning. Kinda takes away the charm of adding a new partner(s), but unfortunately most people are just unnecessarily angry and get frustrated when they don’t get instant satisfaction, and lose sight of the bigger picture (the game in its entirety)
Also, my first “toxic” situation I was in, I was chat-banned for a week. Someone told me to k*ll myself, I told them to log out and grow up 😂 They never got any restrictions.
@@illumineauxhair Yea I turned chat off every game after someone was following me around my jungle stealing my camps and I just went "oh no, I defintely can't play now, you're being sooo mean to me" sarcastically and got banned for that. I kept trying the entire game btw and never went afk for a second.
I quit LoL 5yo. Happier than I was then. I still watch the videos of your kind of content creator because they are untertaining while acting as a firm reminder to why I quit. Thanks for the laughs :)
Hilariously, If played well, both Ekko and Kha have similar smite combo bursts due to buffs made to Ekko's passive on Dragon, so without video I would have said, fair... but FFS that Kha had a 1500 damage smite combo and still failed it twice, once by literally letting a champ with a gapcloser actually use it. TBH, Cait + Kha was enough for drag, the correct call would be Morgana, Yi and Taliyah on Ekko duty. Still with the mental boom going on and 4 dead, I would assume that no one was thinking like that and hindsight 20/20.
Stopped playing that shit since 2014. Not gonna lie one of the best decisions of my life. Less stress, less anger, less toxic. Didnt drop out of school even tho i it almost happend because i couldnt stop playing that shitfest of a game. to anybody considering stopping playing that fucking game. Just do it and never come back.
There's a saying in my country. "When one doesn't want to, two don't do something". If you change it up a little, you get something like, "When one doesn't want to, five doesn't win"
It’s like knocking over a vase and it gets slightly chipped or perhaps a single piece splits off. Sane people would just pick it up, get some glue and carefully mend the broken thing. Sure the damage is there forever, doesn’t mean it’s not salvageable. It’s just a small crack. Then you have some people who’d rather scream and then smash the vase into dust.
In the wise word of KBVTV "the so called "for fun" players are the most likely to become extreme ragers in case of incredibly stressful event such as a teammate going 0/1 in lane befalls them".
this was my first and last season of ever playing ranked the level of reta… stupidity in this community and the amount of times people throw rather then just end dumbfounds me
Rav, this entire video is a mood. Every time people say "this is why I quit" it gets on my nerves because they clearly haven't quit. No one wants to fix the problem, they just want to run away and hope the problem fixes itself. Thank you for continuing to be a good example and one of the funniest content creators in the place.
@@EtherealRune Not just waiting for the problem to fix itself, for one. Also not becoming part of the problem by trying to fight toxicity with toxicity as I see happen all too often. And of course, not being the Kha'Zix in this video.
@@noahzhellos8344 Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds exactly like you'd want to wait until the problem fixed itself - Not becoming part of the problem and not fighting toxicity with toxcity are rather passive stances to take in that regard. It's like saying "If just everyone would behave nicely the problem wouldn't exist in the first place." This is obviously never gonna happen. What the Kha'Zix did was stupid and immature, no doubt. At the same time it's pretty simple for an outsider to just say "He's the problem" without knowing details. So what else could've been done to avoid the situation to escalate? Maybe some sort of "pick-me-up" and trying to steer Kha back on track with some 'encouraging' words. Don't always work, obviously enough, but it would've been an attempt. We don't know if this was Kha's 6th or 7th game with leavers in game. At some point anyone of us snaps. Just saying.
@@EtherealRune No, you're definitely right in that constructive encouragement does help. Fighting toxicity the right way, with being chill and helpful, the way you described. I played a game earlier today as Evelynn jg and both I and my Talon mid were popping off but my Karma sup couldn’t understand that you need to shield and body block the Jhin ult for the people who actually do damage and give a 1000g shutdown. It's me, I'm that player that quit League but still watches content. I enjoy the concept, characters, world but not the gameplay itself, just isn't my thing. I will play once every month or two and after 1-3 games realize I'm not enjoying it and quit again. Never toxic really, but not thrilled with the experience ever.

yea. it's a sad life for support, but I only have one or 2 champs in other roles that is my style. I truly was made to be a support but it truly is an abusive role.
I haven't played League in over a year and it's like a weight is lifted from my shoulders. I still love watching your high quality commentary however! It could honestly be any game. xD
I have been playing AP Twitch in ranked with my friend Kurona, we have been loving it, honestly the games been very fun, my complaints usually is just a specific champion like Tryndamere or Zed making me a bit annoyed. I'm going to be honest with ya, if you get a job, definitely make sure you put strong mental cuz that crap is solid. like.. that is truly a skill to boast.
if your game is fun. win or lose you enjoy it. playing with good mental is part if this step. People fail themselves then expect everyone else to never miss a skill shot or ever make a bad decision.
@@Archeronus I've enjoyed a couple losses before where I thought I played well and it was pretty close. everyone was playing their best and the better team won.

This is my first 'start of season' and god I wish I hadn't played ranked, I went 7-3 in placements and got silver 1 but jesus after that its been all downhill, imbalanced champions and systems and of course toxic teammates
I had a game like this, jungle inted my lane and let the enemy team win because I didn't help him in a 1v3 even though I pinged missing laner. So that was fun
I started playing tft instead of leauge, and honestly it's been a way nicer experience. No stress, chill games, no toxicity, and you can still be competetive and get good with strategy. I still watch leauge videos tho
My other game is SWTOR, great choice, but now that i beat everything there is to beat I started dippin my pony stick into tft and after a month I tried 1 game of ranked and got reminded why I quit in the first place so now I play tft and after particularly bad games ill play a game of ranked to remind me of why I should stick to tft
I just don’t put any stock in how it goes and let myself have fun. It makes me basically untiltable, so all I have to do to have an enjoyable game is try my best to keep my teammates from getting tilted and then we’re good. Unfortunately that’s not always possible, but most of the time I really enjoy the game.
I just started playing and I'm committed to being as positive as I can be. Playing league reminds me of pugs in wow. If you stay both positive and vocal you'd be surprised how well people respond. If someone fucks up and you say something nice and encouraging about them it's wild how fast people go from toxic to supportive. The issue is that people often are just 1 or 2 bad things away from throwing, and that includes off meta picks because of how competitive the game is. So you gotta be on the ball with being a nice player or else you're fucked
I quit a while ago but watching LOL is still funny. Kind of like how watching fail videos of people slipping on ice is funny. You really do us a favor of playing LOL still so that we don't have to Ravvy boi
I've largely stopped playing league because there's so many toxic players and I often get pissed off by them. But I've started to play TFT and it's so much more fun, you play for yourself and there's no toxic behaviour, much better game IMO
The worst feeling is when your team is losing and they blame it on you taking an off-meta pick. No Yi, we are not losing because I am 4/3/8 as Ivern mid, we are losing because you are 0/7/2.
I quit for a while but I started playing again, it's not bad if you're not sitting there ruining the game for everyone, and if anyone tries I kindly ask my team to mute and play around me (since I usually play tanks) and I do my best to cc, slow, and kite as best I can so we can win the game and shove it in our toxic teammates face, it's an amazing time if you catch them early and do your best to keep the team not tilted

Not opening or ffing wastes your time and the rest of your teams when the game is clearly over. That is toxic.
although i agree with everything else, sometimes you should ff. it's not bad to ff unwinnable games, it saves everyone's time and yours.

Good lord that one game had more tension than a Christopher Nolan film
Love how its my fault she was greedy though.
that happened to me yesterday them blame support diff lmao
A lot of junglers I've realised fall victim to this. Or rather a lot of players do but for junglers it's more obvious. It's such a simple thing too.
If your lanes have prio you can get objectives and invade. If they don't have prio, that means lanes are open to ganks. A very simple check that apparently few junglers do until like diamond.
Your adc should’ve been watching your stats but you should’ve been in lane instead of covering for the jungle (first off you’re on ahri so it’s not like your leash was a great one)
Second wave management is so important.in 2v1 you don’t want the enemy to have the wave in their corner
So yea
You trolled them. With a champ that has one form of cc in a role all about babysitting and farming
Stop blaming everyone but yourself for your bad picks and decisions
All inning level 2 was obvi the move as you said the enemy adc left with 15 hp and if a supp is locking in ahri you might as well call it gg because you obvi weren’t coming in to do your job (going q first why? What damage do you need to do? What are you gaining starting damage instead of a 2 second charm that has the enemy walking uncontrollably towards you)
You can’t meme properly so no one wants it in their game.
I literally pinged my exp :D
Also ahri support isn't a bad pick its basically morgana with extra steps. So do fuck off :D :D :D
Edit: I obviously took my E first.

Dunkey wants to play good games and enjoys analyzing the quality of the games. Rav is more like an anthropologist, he enjoys practicing his abilities while analyzing the people.

These are stories I want to read, there's drama, character arcs, a hint of romance, and a great finale
rav summarises what its actually like to be silver/low gold when you are maybe a little bit better than your current elo, but no way near good enough to hardcarry so stay hardstuck.
And it was just one game :/
Last game I didn't play so well, basically lost the lane, but so did everyone else, while continuing to argue and yell at each other...
Someone told me to k*ll myself, I told them to log out and grow up 😂
They never got any restrictions.
