Ray sir made film on realism concept. He was highly affected by Italian films and other western countries. He talked about the poverty of India in aesthetic way. He turn up shabby look into beautiful. His casting was perfect. He made cinema with balance ingredients, like music, dialogue, dance,, etc he balanced the Nine Ras of Natyashashta. He had knowledge of financial management too. He always made cinema in low budget. He was a very prestigious. Every actors were followed him blindly. He gave liberty to actors for scope of acting.. No option of Ray Sir. He is immortal. India is known as country of Satyajit Ray.

I’m absolutely flabbergasted to hear Mr Siddiqui mention the dancer as a resident of Sona Gachi (Calcutta’s red light area)!!!!! whereas, the fact is, the dancer is a famous Kathak exponent, Saswati Sen. Ms Sen is one of the principal disciples of Pandit Birju Maharaj. This very dance from Shatranj Kay Khiladi was choreographed by the dancer’s guru, Birju Maharaj. I can’t believe BBC would put up something like this without any research! Quite disturbing..
