This is the first knurling video I've seen that tightens the knurls BEFORE starting the lathe. Good job. I discovered this after many hours of experimentation. Starting with the wheels already pressed into the stock is the only way to assure you don't get double strikes.
Can you please tell me what brand/model that knurling tool is? I’d like to buy the same one online, but I can’t tell which are good quality or junk. Thanks!
Feed rate has nothing to do with knurling. Diameter does. You can feed as fast or as slow as you want. Been doing it very slow and very fast for over 40 years.

What school are you teaching at?
Our scissor knurling tool doesn’t lock the wheels in place they float a little, are they supposed to lock down once you set them?
Pick up, don't drag your blinded' stool. Much better production.
