If anyone's interested then I think this is an action replay mod that will give your car crazy power when you press a button but it does the same with the AI so that's why they flew off the map.

For those wondering, my hybrid suggestion was in reference to the Mercedes T80, a vehicle built around the same time as the Auto Union and intended to break the land speed record and reach a hypothetical 750km/h (but was never able to attempt it with the onset of WW2)
