just got a working hemi aspen for 1k. everything works and i don't think you can have more car for that price these are capable trucks
In 1985 I was a very shy high school freshman. I met one of my bestests for life, Ray, a cross country Polish teammate. He was an only child being raised by a single mom just like me. They lived in a ranch house directly under a landing pattern a mile from Midway Airport. She drove a '78 Dodge Aspen. Not the most reliable, but she couldn't afford another car. They Could NOT've been NICER To me. I'll NEVER Forget them!!
Now these Newer Aspens?? When they first came out, the front and rears looked like they were rushed to market. But time has been good to the Aspen like MANY then-ugly cars you've reviewed. And Wookie? Not to sound gay but you have a GREAT Video voice.❤😎😎I've been told MANY Times that I, myself have a radio voice. But thanx to a.i. and corporate selfishness (good luck finding live radio d.j.'s), that ship has sailed.😢
I somehow keep buying these bankruptcy era Chryslers. Have a 2010 Town & Country and a 2009 Dodge Journey.
Also I remember hearing that the Airflow ev crossover got sent back to the drawing board cause the new ceo of Chrysler hated how it looks.
Aspen went bye bye…:Durango took MY!2010 off and was rebuilt as 2011 on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform. My Durango Owmers Club was hosted by the NJAP for a tour in 2011 as an add on with the Woodward Dream Cruise. The most recent sighting was two 2008 and 2009 models at the Chrysler Nationals last weekend!
Always good reviews
My coworker had one of these and I told him it's cool
I wasn't sure if I was telling the truth
its like one of those SUVs you want to like and own becasue its got this nostalgic luxury feeling but then you talk to your local mechanics and they refernce the jeep commander which is its cousin along with the durango and you wonder why you dont see them very often.
@@UnionPacific1997I guess it depends on the region. In ChicagoLand there are Lotsa Commanders and All Generation Durangos runnin' around.
He’ll bring back some of the names with modern designs, like Charger and Challenger!
Chrysler may be dying, but if you can find a decent 2015+ Chrysler 300, they are a good ride. I have the Cousin and maybe if the new Charger comes /“around and sells decently could, be a good platform to get Chrysler back in the new era…..hopefully not electric only though!
I’ve always kinda liked these. Style is far superior to its Dodge counterpart (which is absolutely fugly)…
It’s a damn shame what’s happened to the Chrysler brand. Offering only a a minivan now?… c’mon
Chrysler sound definitely try to make and sell a large luxury SUV. Worrying that they would take away sales from Jeep is just ridiculous. The money goes to the same company! Instead they tried to market the Wagoneer as a high quality, top tier, premium luxury vehicle… which seems dumb since Jeep isn’t and never was a luxury brand. I hope they are able to save the Chrysler brand. Ford needs to figure out what to do with Lincoln as well.
The problem has always been using the exact same platform and features between brands. Either offer more features in luxury brands, bolder styling, or if you are offering the same products between nameplates; then offer better warranty coverage. Hard to justify paying more for a different badge emblem only… It’s been sad watching so many great nameplates drop off from the American auto industry.
My favorite automaker has always been Studebaker, followed by FoMoCo tied with Mopar, then GM. I was especially sad to see Ford axe Mercury as this was my favorite brand next to Studebaker.
I personally think Ford should’ve turned them into a performance division.
But what the hell do I know, I’m just a simple Gearhead….
