Rich, I'm also seeing an entire world map with no values in the map. My zip codes are only in Minnesota, so I'm not sure why these zip codes don't auto generate a map of Minnesota like yours did for FL. Any ideas?
I've got Office 365, which has the home/student version of Excel (2016) and doesn't have the map feature (amongst other features). is there an add-in I can purchase that will add these map features?
I don't think Microsoft sells this specific feature as a separate add-in. They are lots of enterprise grade tools like Power Bai & Tableau which offer mapping. I would probably just upgrade to a standard version of Office 365.
this isn't working for me. Excel is not seeing my zip codes and making a chart. "Map charts work best with geographical data such as state/province and country/region in separate columns. Check your data and try again."
That's a nasty cough man! Hope you didn't have Covid. Next time mute that out or record without the nasty coughing throughout. Makes for a much more professional presentation

Hey Andrew! Are you using only 5 digits or zip plus 4 as well? If you try with only a few records from your list, does it work?
This is incredible!!!
My chart stays zoomed out on the whole world and not within the boundary that would allow for the zip codes to show clearly 😮
Hey David, what area of the world are you mapping? How far apart are the different areas?

incredible. Thank you.
Thank you too! @danielhudspeth5699
This is a great explanation! Is there a way to see freeways, roads, etc.?
Yes. Do 3d map instead

What version of excel is required? I have 2016.
Hey Luke... It should be in there... not in the charts section? It's a chart called filled map. Run an update if you're not seeing it ...
When I change the projection it still shows the whole state.

I get the same thing.

Thanks Hunter. No Covid, just a cold. I think I will re-do this one after taking a Halls. :-)
