    Good god you reminded me of the days of linking multiple switches together and having to set everyones ips in order to get everyone able to connect to that one person that can host for everyone by some dumb luck, and no one knows who it is until we start seeing who on the network they're connected to.
    I miss lans.

    So like hear me out.. imagine having a computer for each of your task manager processes making a mega computer allowing you to play a game, install a game, record a game, encode, compile, browse all on one screen on one operating system but using a computer or server farm of computers to basically power one computer.. aka a mega computer.. basically isolating each process to a separate set of cpu,gpu,ram etc but all combined into one computer.

    I wish there was a software that handled this automatically. Like I want to be able to just connect whatever computer I want(Desktop, laptop, macbook pro, etc.) and it just integrates it into the system. Imagine every time you need a new laptop you just plug your old one into your personal supercomputer that already has your first tower, your first laptop, and a Macbook Air. I feel like laptops are nice little server boxes with their built in fans. You could have a rack and just keep adding laptop shelves in it. It would be great if this system made it easy to remove one of these computers, for maintenance or if one starts to put a drag on the system, by just unplugging it.

      The same reason multicores didn't take off for so long. They never provided a good performance increase except in niche workloads.
      If you're doing ml or something, you can get some decent use of this.

      It cant work that way. You cannot just combine 2 computers and expect to have 1 server for hosting games.
      To get something remotely close to this, you would need 3 machines. 2X game servers, same settings, same config Except the ip address. Then your 3rd machine you will need to install linux, and configure HAProxy. You will need to have some understanding to be able to configure haproxy. There is really no other way to do this due to ability to only port forward 1 device over your network for public game play. You would have to port forward to your haproxy, and have your haproxy server managing the connections through tcp protocol.

      @@bobi_lopataru something to consider, when doing game servers, they dont require much graphics processing because they never have to render any graphics. i wont go too in depth into detail about how exactly they work. But if your experiencing lagging issues when running a game server, and your have maybe a quad core cpu and 8gb of ram that is pretty sufficient for most game servers with no lagg issues. Your primary issue could be within your network.
      Settings in your router. Your MTU Size, and possibly the type of router can be causing the issues. NEVER USE WIFI for hosting a game server. PERIOD. Direct connection is best. hope this helps!

    • @Furyswipes
      @Furyswipes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is just for multiboxing with HotkeyNet--running the same app over and over again on multiple computers. In this case, the App is a game, called world of warcraft--but it could be anything.

      @@Furyswipes so your able to encompass the computing power of various computers at once for 'multiboxing' and gaming purposes but your not able to harness that same power for other tasks?
      Is that because of a limitation of hotkeynet or is that not something that is possible at all?

    • @Furyswipes
      @Furyswipes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrTylerNinja HKN is just a crude key sharing app--it shares keypresses across computers so if you have a "kill button" on key 2 for that game, all the copies of the game will press "kill" at the same time.

    Sorry potato pc gamers.....NOT all those pc combined make a gaming pc so yeah! Only issue:the electricity bill can't be handled unless if you have all pc using same power supply.

  • @tiandrescheepers4933
    @tiandrescheepers4933 ปีที่แล้ว

    But it is not Power effiecient tho.

    • @Furyswipes
      @Furyswipes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Power efficiency is neutral. You string in more computers because the first computer cannot do any more work. If I can only run 15 jobs on computer 1, but I have 30 jobs, I must add computer 2, etc. Computer 2 is exactly as efficient as computer 1, but doing 15 more jobs. You use twice the power to do 30 jobs as 15. This is not a question of efficiency.
