Wow this is pretty cool! I'm in high school and once every couple months we'll get together and play 200-350 points per player. The biggest one we played was 1,400 points. It took 11 hours i think. I can't imagine ya'll finished this.
I just love the big casual games! That's the best part of X-Wing, make up a cool scenario, put in a lot of points and duke it out! And the game automatically improves when you have one of those big corvettes on the table! They look so impressive.
So like i have a question, what if I play a game like this one (huge game with many ships) and I have multiple pilots with the same skill level, who goes first?
Are there help groups, I know even a Spanish board game TH-cam jockey Chema Pamundi admitted he had an X-Wing 'problem'. So do I, every time that next wave is pre-viewed I give in.
I hear ya! I wish I had the shelf space for that many ships. I don't play the games (although I would love to), but I love to collect the miniatures for references when I build my CG models. From X-wing, I have the CR-90 Corellian Corvette (my all time favorite ship in the Star Wars universe), Han Solo's Millennium Falcon, Heroes of the Resistance set with Rey's Millennium Falcon and Poe Dameron's T-70 X-wing (debating on getting the Lando version, but since it does seem to have a detachable escape pod, I just might), the Lambda class shuttle, Rebel Aces set with B-wing and A-wing fighters, TIE Punisher (now that is one mean looking ship), and the TIE Striker. From Armada, I have the Gladiator class Star Destroyer, the Victory class Star Destroyer, and the Imperial class Star Destroyer...and am eagerly awaiting the Super Star Destroyer. The X-Wing and Armada miniatures are some very finely and lovingly crafted ships. Even the plastic miniatures that come with the Rebellion game and its expansion are pretty darn good.
I could never keep all my ships straight and remember all my upgrades in something that big. I would have to have a team...hey now, that would be interesting. Team play!
X-wing models are really detailed and scaled nicely but I don't like the size of the bigger ships. Way too big for my liking, this is why I gravitated to Armada. I couldn't imagine transporting all those without a vehicle at your side.
causal games are awesome because you dont have to worry about some nerd complaining about some tiny ass little rule or thing someone does, Id have to punch someone, thats why I play AI
This is an epic battle which is the “huge” version that uses the huge ships and is generally more fun the maps are bought of FFG/AMG anymore questions ask ahead
FalconAshe K with 2.0, they've added proper Force abilities in the mix, and given that the Clone Wars has Force users all over the place, fans are speculating that it's going to be announced any time now
Casual games bring out the most fun and creative elements to any game! Competitive play has it's place but can get stale.
It would take a whole day to complete that game with no round limits and just doing a no survivor type battle

This reminds me of playing commander in highschool with ten players at once, tons of fun but you’ll never get done
The only thing insane about this is the retail price of the products.

It bothers me that no one seems to ever have the wings correct on their imperial shuttle.

If it’s your pilots you chose if it’s the opponents then it depends on who has initiative

It's a Decimator. It's not normally black. I sometimes paint mine.
The Starkiller Base map has no reason to exist. This is the rebellion vs the empire. First Order doesn't belong here.

Casuals on Record imo armada is a somewhat better designed game, but I can rarely find time and people to play xwing with let alone armada.
