Tbh I don’t see an issue with them if they are balanced correctly. They are aimed to make the end game harder, so the more powerful you/your squad is the more chance of getting attacked by one. I’ve yet to have one just randomly turn up when I’m out and about. Only when I’ve triggered an alarm at a AB. It’s an extra layer of challenge that I’m all for. Some servers will turn them off of course as they already have mechs off.
@@theurbanhermit365 I agree completely! The more challenging the better. In fact, I have been playing some Rust lately and I think having the ai go after the strongest groups on the server would be s great addition there as well.
Yeah for a solo like myself I like the idea of it also, it means that these bigger squads may be preoccupied with other things rather than raiding me 😅🤣
I canny wait for these dropships to start destroying certain large clans on official pve servers hoarding all the good stuff. *Insert Michael Jackson popcorn meme
They will build several bases with elements below 100 elements and everything will continue in the same way. Those base building dropships are pointless as anyone that has 2 brain cells will keep his element count below the threshold.
I've been having issues with the traders recently, they have been ruining the survival aspects of the game, people too comfortable selling gold and buying high tier loot, I've been trying to find a server without them, okay quick rant over😂. Keep us informed, your my number 1 SCUM news broadcaster😂👍
I used to play on Meanstreaks NKX 0.25 loot. No idea what its like these days. Fozzy tried to run without traders but that server shut down recently. People just want shit too easy these days.
@@MrZBrains Have to be a custom economy file. You'd have to allow sale but no purchase as the respawn system has (stupidly) been set to use money/gold instead of fame since around 0.7. Fame, being much harder to acquire would make you actually pause and consider before respawn selection. That's how it used to be. Money is designed to make it more accessible, and it succeeds but it makes a death nearly meaningless. Both have pros and cons. For me, I think the traders are the worst thing they put into the game. There is an alternative, an experimental setting in the economy file. Its activation theoretically means the traders inventory is only populated by what is sold to them by players. That is at least a positive type of trader. Again, I remember back when all trading was done player to player with all its inherent risks/trust/betrayal, and all the stories that arose from it. Back to the setting though, I can only reference the basics of its description because I never activated it. Its the sad balancing conundrum for server owners. You like population on your server? Then you need mass market appeal. I strongly suspect if we ever actually get the server files after 1.0 (and I'm getting more dubious as time goes on with the change in language from the devs) one of the first mods will remove the traders and revert the spawn system to fame. This way, you have to make do with whatever you scavenge and thats that. You instantly inject survival back into the game.
@@bjornefellhanded9708 Having the trader sell only the items people sell sounds better than how it is honestly, I say no trader but this would be better then infinite items and money traders.

It will be interesting to see how the servers with dropships turned off do vs. the ones that leave it on.

@@theurbanhermit365 yeah exactly. I think it’s a great idea on their part!
I hope they add troops with the dropship we can fight or maybe waves like they did in Conan exiles
Quite possibly, could even be some sort of patrol or convoy as they have been working on vehicles for the AI

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Server admins should have access to see how many elements squads are using so they can more effectively pinpoint dropships
Yeah admins can control how many elements at said bases are destroyed, so if you’re base gets obliterated, blame the admin not the drop ship 🤣🤣🤣
