My sister had Sickle cell disease and the doctors told my mom she wouldn't live to become an adult. My mother worked with Saint Lazarus. Baba Lu aye. Purple White and sack cloth my mom wore. To petition him for her child. She was very dedicated to him. My mom wore purple to honor him 💜
So what became of your sister?
Babalu Aye came to me in a dream when my step father was sick and he didn’t know nor anyone else knew what was wrong with him. He was walking hunch over with chronic back pain. So I asked my good friend who’s a Awo in Nigeria who was this person I dreamed of. I describe the energy and he told me it was Babalu Aye. So I researched and read many stories and I gave him a offering in a wood bowl with black beans, a red onion and popcorn. A rainbow candle and a purple candle by the second day of the candle burning my step father was taken to the hospital. Where he stayed for thee day’s and was diagnosed with prostate cancer. By the 7th day which was 5 day’s after my step father was taken to the hospital. My mom called me that he was coming home while I was at the creek putting the offering at the base of a tree. Again I did all this from a dream and research and love. I have since then gave offering to Babalu Aye for mental health and financial health and it has been honored. Aboye Ase
I’ve always called my little son Eli ‘Babalu’ unknowing of this orisha. My baby is the sweetest boy I’ve ever know. He has autism. Very interesting, thankhs
My son Elijah was born with a heart defect and had 4 open heart surgeries despite all that still was able to be a kid and loving boy and brought us so much and we made so much of his birthdays and and Christmas he passed away at 13 years 🙌🏼
I had purchased his statue maybe 5 years before I did my knee cap replacement and it helped ...

I was born on December 17, and my middle name is Lazara.He is very important to Cubans who call him the saint of health, and the poor. I will do an offering in a small burlap saque with beans and beads light a candle. Thank you for the idea.

You are so filled of knowledge, I grew up with my grandma who is orthodox Christian and some of the most important dates of celebration is the 17th for st Lazarus, where we prep him in a similar way, and the 18th of December sveti nikola or st Nicholas 😁 love seeing how these traditions are implemented in similar ways all over the world

@@joyjessicaesogunum6465 hello my love! I’m currently initiated into orisha tradition under a godparent :) I would suggest asking an elder to see what Orishas walk with you in your path. This would mean to get a cowie shell reading from a babalawo, olorisha or an oba! (Depending on the branch of orisha faith you’re called out to) many blessings for you and I wish the best in your endeavors 💛💛💛💛💛

I had burlap with an orange print on it. I put it on her head like a scarf. I like burlap. Maybe it is time to light that candle. I just looked at the clock. It is 1:17am.

My Dad wore a Gold St. Lazarus Medallion. He was charitable and blessed with luck in many ways. My son now wears it since his transition.
