Samurai are japanese not africans
Cleopatra was Greek not african
Not all Africans are black
This is called cultural appropriation.
Blacks do not need to steal warriors from other countries with which they have no connection, be proud of your Maasai warriors.
You’re right! Maasai Warriors! Now all Africa needs is food, drinking water, toilets, roads, medicine, sanitation, technology….wow, they really regressed from the greatest civilization ever…hmmm, weird when you actually talk this stuff out, huh?
@detroitpolak9904
And a Polak is espousing all this in just one breath?
Seen Poland since WWII, eh big brain?
Do you know who had freed it AND YOUR PEOPLE?
Do you know just who had rebuilt it after the bombings?
Shut Up and Read-a-Book (or three....)
And again just who decided that YOU PEOPLE are to curate OUR incursions into the lore and history of other cultures?
You People should learn to Shut Up/Sot the Hell Down And Attempt-at least to- learn of your own his-story before you may enure yourselves into Our Histories.
@detroitpolak9904
So says the polak,eh?
Seen Poland since WWII, have ya'?
Who liberated Poland post WWII,eh?
Who had done the rebuilding of Poland post WWII?
Sit Down. Shut Up and read a book (or five).
Who's stealing from who again?
Who had appointed You People as curators of everyone else's historical valuations and cultural presence, again?
Oh, then supposedly that self-procurement had come with The Appropriations that usually accompany this treatise am I correct?
Anyone who knows Japanese culture knows that Samurai are nobleman. You can’t just become a samurai.
lol ok, dude. They were honorless mercenaries. They raped, murdered and pillaged.
Williams Adams became a samurai, which is very well documented and heavily inspired Shogun
And yet a Black man achieved this Noble status,, nonetheless. If you notice, no Japanese refuted the story,,, and we all know how they feel about their history and culture. The written accounts of this black samurai history is part of the historical culture
@@VRansom-zz5yg all of Japan refuted the story💀. I was out there a few months back, regarding tenshin shoden katori shinto ryu budo kyohan. They legit think your brainless, and thieves who play victim. No joke💀
Hideyoshi was not a nobleman. He came from peasant stock.
Lies, i just researched this samurai and it said that he was the son of chinese emperor ling and is not african.
Emperor Ling was born in 158 and Tamuramaro was born in 758 so he was not his son, but it is said that the Sakanoue clan was the descendant of the Emperor.

You are correct
Westerners think they know more about our race than us Egyptians too, they painted our ancestors black also
As an American, Hollywood needs to stop added races where they don't belong in history. If you want one real bad, write another story about it as a fiction and make it entertaining. There were no black people in Japanese history.
There is one exception.
A story that dates back 20 years to the time of the General.
It is said that when a missionary took a black slave and met a prominent person in power at that time (Nobunaga), he saw a black person for the first time, and at first he could not believe the blackness of the person and made the black person wash his body on the spot, saying,'
He must have painted his body with ink.'
It is said that, out of curiosity, he had the black man transferred to him, gave him the name'
Yasuke,' gave him a territory, and made him a samurai.
After that, he was involved in a rebellion by his subordinates and the person in power was killed, but when the captured Yasuke was asked how he was treated, the enemy warlord (Mitsuhide) said,'
You don't have to kill him because he is not human,' and told the missionary to hand him over and return him to his home country.
He was Chinese but went to fight in Japan
As a Japanese who studies human history, I find such discourse ridiculous. Plz understnd that you are now doing the saeme thing as netizens in North korea and SK. In fact, they are also promoting Japan's unique culture such as Samurai, Kimono, Ninja, Sumo, Karate and Judo as their own. It is shameful.sry my bad english.
so some black people are claiming all that culture is theirs?
Using the Korean Peninsula as an example, these days they're going around saying Japan's samurai culture actually started in Korea. They're all about how Korean warriors called "Saulabi" went over to Japan and ended up being called samurai. They've been pushing this story to academic circles for like a decade now. Obviously, it's total BS. But you know how it goes: "Tell a lie a 100 times, it becomes the truth."
Nowadays, if even one person buys into these crazy claims from Korea or Africa, it blows up as "truth" on social media. Hate to say it, but because Korea and Africa have been colonies or vassal states for so long, they're kinda obsessed with figuring out their own identity.
So, let's be historically accurate. First, Sakanoe no Tamuramaro was not black. And as for Yasuke, he was indeed black, but he wasn't a samurai. He was a novelty in Japan (brought as a slave or servant by a Portuguese priest) and a Japanese leader was so fascinated by him (especially by his black skin. Tried to have him prove it was real by having him try to wash it off), that he wanted to use him as a way of gaining popularity. He at first made him his retainer (which is a step up from an indentured servant) and later made him a page, which is a special servant to a samurai.
There wasn't much recorded about his live in Japan but the last record of him was the following: "The vassal asked Akechi what should be done with the black man, and he said, 'A black slave is an animal (bestial) and knows nothing, nor is he Japanese, so do not kill him, and place him in the custody at the cathedral of Padre in India."

@@damonking76 What would you prefer? To persist in a false belief of history (even if that false belief boosts your racial self-esteem) or to be presented with the opportunity to refine your understanding of true history?
@@damonking76 But, it's still an interesting story (Yasuke). Foreigners becoming anything like a samurai or even just a retainer to a samurai was extremely rare and probably quite an honor. There were only around 4 or 5 Europeans who achieved samurai like status as well. One of the more famous was William Adams. Here are his details: 250 koku.[8][11] He was granted the rank of Hatamoto, a fief and 80-90 servants. Interpreter and shipwright of Tokugawa Shogunate. (Adams was the model for the character John Blackthorne in James Clavell's novel Shōgun.

I am Japanese. The story in this video is mostly bullshit. In particular The black theory of Sakanouye Tamuramaro in this video is wrong. The Sakanoueye family is descended from Emperor Ling of the Han Dynasty and has nothing to do with black people. Because of his family background, he was trusted by the emperor of Japan and served him for generations. Also, the phrase "for a Samurai to be brave he must have a bit of Black blood" does not exist.
This is an insult to us Japanese. Please quit introducing false history. Also, the Ainu are not black. It was from Yasuke that blacks first appeared in Japanese history. As a descendant of samurai and a Japanese, I cannot overlook these videos. If you have questions about Japanese history, please write to us.

@@brokenerrorexceptionakabee5036 I'm pretty sure this guy knows his own history. Why do black people always try to hijack other cultures history?
The Japanese offended. Give me a break sunshine
Oh, lord !!!! Afrocentric sites claim the most bizarre, incorrect theories. In the first example, Sakanoue was not a Negro whatsoever. I think a LOT of these sites don’t understand because one author put something in a book years ago, doesn’t make it true. In actual Japanese history there is NO reference to him having black ancestry at all.
In the second case, Yasuke- he was DEFINITELY black but he was NEVER a Samurai. He was brought over by a Portuguese slave owner. He was sold to a Japanese man because he had never seen a black man before. The person who bought him died and he was given a short-sword and may have fought with a peasant army. He was only in Japan for a total of 3 years then was deported and sold to missionaries in India. Afrocentrism sure does make a LOT of unsubstantiated claims which are historically inaccurate. 😂
Fools always laugh like an affliction to hide their deceitful persona. Who are the indigenous of Earth,? Why are truths hidden? Answer: because lies are about to be told by the tribe of Neanderthals.
Wow, Eurocentrics sure have a lot of unsubstantiated beliefs about blacks.,(Noah's curse of Canaan) all Ancient Egyptians Pharoahs were white and blacks all slaves. as well as a lot of hidden history about blacks( European churches and Vatican hiding original black Madonnas) , no blacks in any of Christian bible stories unless a slave etc
The intention of these people is not tell the truth. I submit to you that they are very aware that they are lying, that their goal is ideological in nature. As Stalin (or the Nazi propaganda guy) said: a lie repeated 1000s of times becomes truth.

Slavery existed in most countries, historically. Even the term “slave” has its origins in the word slav. The slavs, who inhabited a large part of Eastern Europe, were taken as slaves by the Muslims of Spain during the ninth century AD. We understand slavery to be the ownership, buying/selling of human beings for the purpose of forced & unpaid labour.
This means that Africans enslaved other Africans. There were wars between different African communities & those who lost the war were either killed or “enslaved.” African slaves were traded/sold to the best offer, be it from another African community, Muslims, or trade ships. All are “slavers” . The English & New England trading ship captains/crew did not leave the ship to wander into African land to kidnap & enslave Africans. They would’ve been instantly overwhelmed and either killed or enslaved themselves. The slave ships traded/purchased already enslaved Africans, from other African slavers near the coasts.
Of course, these acts are morally wrong, & reprehensible to us today, but were commonplace throughout history. The ships captain worked for the ships owners & the ships crew were hired to run the ship. The ships owners & captains were basically merchants engaged in selling or trading one thing for another. In this case, the slave trade consisted of trade of previously enslaved people in Africa.
Why is it easy to believe that a white samurai existed but hard to believe that a Black samurai existed

Don't you just hate the very thought of the loss of credibility in the Asian nations' and their cultural touchstones?
LMAO!!!!!

Incredible black history and much respect for the Japanese people and culture.

日本人はこの話にならない
似非歴史研究に皆怒っている。
The Japanese thought Koreans were inferior, they thought Europeans were barbarians.....so what would they have thought of Black Africans? NO, the only Black man recorded in Japanese history was Yasuke, only because lord Oda Nobunaga fancied everything foreign.
The reason why it's "untold" because there is nothing to tell. There were no black samurais. Japan has been a homogenous and isolationist society for centuries and did not take kindly to the outsiders. The idea that there were black samurais is bs Afrocentrist revisionist history devoid of any historical facts..

Suntzu has always been my favorite warrior general ever since I discover the are of war. But now discovering these two great warriors, Yasuke just recently and Tamanamaro tonight. I have a completely different perspective on African history. It hurts my soul that this history has been suppressed so long. But the Truth will always find it's way to the light. Shame on those who would suppress this. SHAME!
I’ve been praying to understand who I am and where my people came from, and before I realized it I’m here and other docs that is shedding a lot of light and giving me avenues to explore! We everywhere and have been for thousands of years!! Yah promised that the children of Abrahams seed would spread the earth as the sands, and rule as kings and queens, look at Yah 💯
HE MAY EVEN BEEN A PRODUCT OF "GIGANTE" HERITAGE... pMpN
Great historical experience
It’s a good story but it’s not accurate at all!
The white samurai in The Last Samurai made me laugh because it was so absurd,
but now seeing the same thing with a black version, or rather, someone taking it seriously, is a bit less amusing.
@chickenheart7615 There were white samurai. An Englishman or two and a few Portuguese. Well documented. No cool battles I know of, they were mostly just land owners. There were never any records of black samurai though.
@@AlexM-oq5el That cannot be called a samurai in the true sense. It's the same as how you cannot call a modern person a samurai just by dressing them in a helmet and armor.
😎👍🏾
Funny that is a Polynesian last name.
I always love this channel, please keep these videos coming‼️💪🏽
Hi. I have learned about the Edo, Ainu, and Yasuke but you have given me more knowledge about Japan! Thank you for this video!

Great fan fiction of bogusness
They made an anime of Yasuke. It was dope, but it didn't last.
😂😂😂 this is comedy Sakanoue no Tamamurmaro was NOT black he was descended from the Chinese Emperor Ling which is why they trusted him and made him a samurai, additionally Ainu people aren’t black they’re descendants of Jomon people who are the eclectic groups of people that inhabited ancient Japan 60,000 years ago and have some Eurasian ancestry. Some of them literally look like white Eurasians and they do not look black. I even have friends who are of Ainu descent and they either look Japanese due to mixing or look Eurasian.
