I’m Cypriot myself, we are not happy with the English settling in our land, we have no issues with Irish, we faced no racism from them, Cypriots married many Irish women in north London in the 70s, English have agenda and don’t know why they don’t just go to Spain, we still haven’t forgotten the Cypriot women those UK soldiers raped 10 years ago.
I can understand anyone at the moment wanting to get out of the uk. The politicians seem hell bent on destroying this once great country. Keep the videos coming , they’re much appreciated.👍
Loving the videos you’ve an inspiration to people who have had enough of the uk . It’s nice to see someone tells it as it is . Hope it all works out for you 👍
Another great video showing the reality of your move. Imagining how things will be and then experiencing life as it is doesn’t always marry up. Good to see you’re all making the most of your new life.
Not with clowns like him he even looks like Tommy Robinson. Instead of facing it no il run away an preach on the Internet to the people who are still there. Nobody cares go enjoy Cyprus before you get bored and jump ship again. You're not I. The uk stop pretending you care if so you would of stayed and fought simple😊
You're living the dream mate. Fair play to you. Appreciate these vids you are putting up, loads of useful info. The UK is finished, sadly. I have a feeling that the nicer countries will be shutting up shop in terms of accepting UK migrants due to massively high demand, so you've played a blinder there.
Love your videos. I am a UK born Greek Cypriot and am currently thinking of moving to Crete (Cyprus is too hot for me!), so I'm finding your videos very encouraging. I wish you and your family well, and hope that you continue to build a happy home there.
Hardly a big difference, yes Cretes going to be cooler in the winter and spring by a few degrees, but little or no difference in the hot summer,if its baking in Cyprus its likely much the same in Crete
@@paulr75 Hey Paul. I don't agree, as we all have different tolerances to heat. Cyprus can get into the low 40s in the summer for days at a time (sometimes higher as the news don't report accurately), crete tends to be mid-high 30s. this makes all the difference to me personally, it makes the difference between being outside and being shut up indoors in an airconditioned room. i've spent most of my life visiting both islands in the summer and spending weeks-months at a time there and those few degrees higher are intolerable, especially if you're there for a whole season. It's easier to tolerate if you're by the beach all day (my younger days), but for actual living and getting on with life and daily chores, too much for me. Though, I would consider more mountainous areas of Cyprus. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I'm looking forward to exploring the idea.
Great video, we're looking to move to Cyprus in a couple of years and have started the planning process, property etc. This just reinforces our thoughts, so thank you
Nowhere is perfect, but i would choose Cyprus over the UK every time as long as you can deal with the extreme hot summers. Refreshing to see your boys being outside and happy instead of stuck indoors on SM or games.
Well done to you All..... I love Cyprus.... England is not the same unfortunately... Keep enjoying the beautiful weather the lovely food out there & the Cypriots are such friendly people 👌🤗
Good on you. I'm originally from Cyprus but lived in the UK all of my adult life, I would love to move there permanently, however I can't convince the Mrs. Keep the updates coming and hopefully it might just convince my other half.
ya 100 % right. We r in the uk and have had a place in larnaca since before it joined the eu. We try and get out as much as possible during the holls and my kids love the summers there as they have so much more freedom. Things work much slower in cyprus as we found out as we had a accident in the car which we have had for years and they take for ever to get paperwork done and finding a car is another story!...lol
100 % right. We are from the UK and got a place in Larnaca just before it went into eu. We try to get out there as much as possible during the kids holls. The kids love the freedom and its a outside country 4 sure and eating outside is something we miss the most.
How did I end up wanting to move to Cyprus and subbing to this channel and binge watching your videos lol. Fair play mate. I used to go most years for a long time and wanted to move there until covid and other stuff but this has got me thinking again. Not sure if I saw Peyia somehere but thats where we used to stay or around there. agios georgios beach was my idea of paradise lol
@trading-university. 😆 🤣 cheers thanks for watching and subbing! Yeah Peyia village is 10 mins from Agios Georgios, I did a video there a good few weeks back.
Great to catch your video. Really helpful information. We've just retired and our daughters and grandchildren are fed up of life in Britain. Unacceptable but We've givenup on hoping the old way of life will return. So we're planning to leave just need to get everyone financially able to .leave. We are so lose couldn't leave without the family. Maybe we'll do a recce mission. Thanks again. The stress you talked of is a killer, youve done the right thing for ykur family.
I’m so pleased you guys found a piece of paradise for your family and I agree with what you say about the taxes it’s pure robbery. I have a brother in law that lives in the UK they come to Cape Town once a year to visit and the have an absolute ball here because of the exchange from pound to Rand. My hubby snd I have never been to Greece but it’s definitely going on my list of things to do. Thank you for sharing all this information.
Surprised I've only just found your channel! My partner and I love Paphos! I think you live very close to where we've stayed at times. Few times up hills in Peyia and once off the roundabout on the Coral bay strip. Watching all your videos makes me wanna book a holiday! haha Amazing to watch someone do the whole move and show it is possible, would love to me able to do it myself. Glad to see the locals are still so kind even when your not a holiday maker 😆
you made a comment, Some people think the rich should pay more. This is something that really winds me up. Tax is a % of your earnings. so people on higher incomes do pay more. Why the UK increase the % you pay the more you earn is beyond me. Don't they understand people will bugger off once they reach a threshold? I know of someone who sold his company for around £50m. Yes I agree a load of money. He was faced with the dilemma of Staying in the UK and paying something like £20 million in tax or Going live in Monoco for 3 years and paying nothing. After 3 years, he could return to the UK without a tax bill. So the taxman in the end paid for his life in Monoca for 3 years and he had change. The UK need the millionaires as they spend here in the UK. It's what keeps the economy strong. When will they wake up and smell the coffee?
I think it's all 4D chess. If our millionaires are likely to expat to the like of Monaco and Switzerland with their earnings, the rest of the world might have more open doors to the UK in general
Fair play to you buddy do what’s best for you and your family and why not if u can. It’s pissing down here in Blighty 😎😀 but can’t wait to fly out to some sunshine 👍🏻☀️🤣 all the best to u buddy and thanks for sharing
Good for you mate. We made the move to Australia 31 years ago and never look back. I was 29 years old with three little babies and very disheartened with the way the UK was looking for the future. Most thought we were mad to them we had the dream, nice house , new car and worked for myself oh yes seven days a week .Sure it gets lonely and you miss weddings birthdays funerals etc and catching up with your mates is probably the most thing l miss, but you make new friends and have new adventures. We made a pact that we would give it two years and if either one of us didn’t like it for whatever reason we wouldn’t argue with each other that we would just return because what’s the worst thing you could do go back, I never wanted to be 10 years down the track thinking I wonder what it would’ve been like? Really enjoy watching your videos good luck to you guys and your family keep living the dream 👍
Interesting topic , i stayed on holiday there for 10 days in Pissouri . Nice climate very constant weather which really appealed to me. I think i prefer Portugal as the people seemed friendlier. But good luck to you.
Yeah for me i think it depends, horses for courses! We lived in Portugal and prefer Cyprus. Depends on what you want from it! Best of luck to you too 🙏
You had the right idea. Would love to retire there, just got to keep pestering my good lady 😅. I hope it all works out for you, as the UK is gone to the dogs!
i admire your honesty and delighted for you and your family i live in sleepy cornwall and dont see a lot of whats going on in the uk and i dont 100% trust the news love the vlog
I don't really watch the news mate, I just view what's around me! We love Cornwall, it was a place we shortlisted to move to, but we decided on Cyprus. 🙏
You have to be sponsored to get work out here on UK passport. If you have an Irish parent or grandparents you can get an Irish passport, then you can work anywhere
I've been an HGV driver and still do a bit now and then. I'm really considering packing up my business and moving abroad. I can't be dealing with the stress of it all and I just seem to be earning money for a government and a direction that I am categorically opposed to. I've spent a lot of time looking for a place that Brits can move to and get the right to live and work. Most are unviable for various reasons. i.e, you would have to take their driving license and their version of CPC, etc. You need to be pretty much fluent in the language to get a work visa, You need to go there and find work but you have to have the funds to support yourself straight away which if you had to do a driving test in their language.... its gonna take a good while before you can earn. There is also a lot more patriotism in EU countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and employers aren't all that interested in taking on British people over their own. There is an exception though... You might be interested to know that Germany has recently given professional drivers a special visa. There are government led pathways into getting out there and finding work placements. You can just exchange your HGV license for a German one without any test and get working. If you do 5 years out there in that industry, you get granted permanent residency. You can take family and they will get the same status as you do and they can work. If you look on the German property websites, you can get a really nice 4/5 bedroom home for £150k. . . If you are serious about leaving then that does seem to be one of the only options in Europe right now. I was looking at the area south of Munich which is only 3-4 hours from Italy where I was originally looking at moving to but its a pipe dream there. Last year I did a big road trip down to Italy and then back up through Germany. Its an amazing place as is the whole western boarder, up through the black forest. The food, beer, social life, the culture is amazing and its spotlessly clean, has outstanding scenery and it turns out to be pretty cheap to buy property there. For a British only speaker, German is supposedly an easy language to learn. A lot of similar words and the language is structured like speaking English.
Fantastic. I’ve been considering doing the same with our young family. The main stumbling block for me though is maintaining an income. Can I ask what you’re doing for work/income whilst in Cyprus?
Hi again, I messaged you originally asking about the political climate and you gave the good grace to reply, which was greatly appreciated. I’ve spent time since my enquiry with yourself speaking to my colleague from Iran, who has expressed please no don’t go there as the regime has absolutely stated they will attack all on the Persian guif and that includes Cyprus, the intent is to stay in power and they will do whatever it takes with no regard to cost. Stay safe beautiful people
@jadetodd8494 yeah that's fine, but I spoke to my mate and he said not to worry. So my mates comment cancels out your mates comment, that's the problem with people speaking to people who have an opinion, it technically means nothing, its literally an opinion. Either way if it makes you feel better not to come, then don't. If it makes you better about coming then do! Only you can decide. All the best in the future 🙏
@@NuttersInCyprus that’s a very fair response, I just see it as information sharing, take the bits you like leave the rest behind. Just something to keep an eye on I guess as I’m sure you are. Best wishes

I moved to Cyprus around the same time as you and also ended up in Peyia. I share your conclusions about Cyprus. I don't know what your business is, but I'm in software development and Cyprus is a very good country for IT/technology companies. What you said about the UK applies to most western-European countries, in fact I could argue exactly the same about my native country (the Netherlands).
@@NuttersInCyprus ahh nice one, haven’t been to Paphos yet, I’m currently in Limassol for work for 3 months but would like to move here instead of going back to UK.
@HaroldIrving-z2c nice, we did a video in Limassol. Originally looked to move there, but decided against it due to cost of living + didn't having to sit in traffic for the school run (2nd part was an assumption) but either way very happy with our choice to move to Paphos. We also had never been here before moving, we moved blindly!

You've done a good job of creating an informative and entertaining channel. We are looking at retiring to Cyprus soon, so find your videos interesting. Is there anything you've missed from the UK so far? And is there anything you'd do differently if you could? I also couldn't agree with you more, how you earn your money is no one's business but yours. Keep the quality vids coming!🙂
Hello mate, No, we don't regret anything and wouldn't change a thing from top of my head. If it requires thought, then it's not an issue as I'd be searching for a reason. We miss a couple people, but don't miss anything. We was talking this morning about how happy the kids are.
You chose the right place. Not sure if you mentioned in any of your other videos but Paphos was recently deemed to be the best place globally to live! "Paphos has been recognized as the most livable city globally, according to a report by Compare the Market AU. The report evaluated seven factors: the number of restaurants, entertainment options, unemployment rate, number of rainy days, health index score, safety score, and overall cost of living."
@@NuttersInCyprus Yeah, sure. We can be proud and upbeat to live in the Paphos district, I know I am. I left the UK for similar reasons to you. Keep up the the great videos documenting your journey, very helpful to many people considering a move or even just a holiday!
First time commenting, I think for most people since Brexit, it would be extremely difficult to do as you have done. It obviously helps that you've been lucky with the stock market but have no doubt worked hard along the way. Not going to disagree that the rich tend to be able to take advantage of good tax advice so they can avoid the majority of them, one of the main reasons for the Brexit vote was to avoid the incoming EU tax loophole closures, fortunately anyone who derives their wealth from UK businesses can be taxed at point in the UK, also the rich pay nowhere near as much on wealth when compared to those being taxed on earned income, as a proportion to their income. Would also disagree, I think wealth taxes need to increase if we are to increase spending on public services. Would be nice to see a comparison between your old house and the one the rent now in Cyprus, I'd also invest in a car port if you have a half decent car as the hail can get pretty destructive over there between Jan -Mar, I was lucky enough to spend 12 weeks there, years ago whilst serving in HMF...
We will have to agree to disagree. If big companies have the choice of paying 0% or 25% then they will choose 0% and move it off shore. Raise it to 50% and they’ll still choose 0%. However put it 5 or 7% and a good chunk would opt to pay it to remove the complexities involved in having a very complicated company tax set up. Lower it, receive more! Increase it, receive less! That’s how it works but unfortunately you and many others all shout put the taxes up. Another down side to the increase in taxes, means lower margins, which means the need to import more cheap labour. Which means increasing RRP, in return making it harder for the average person affected by the cost of living crisis. Also with the luck comment, this is what everybody says, but luck is where preparation meets opportunity. And for transparency, my portfolio isn’t where I have made my money. Money was made via online retail. All the best mate, and thanks for your service 🙏
We sold up everything in the 'YUK' 21 years ago, and still happy living in sunny Cyprus. Even with WW3 going on next door ! And it's far too hot in June-August although some people go back to the UK or somewhere cooler during these months. Otherwise life is great here. Oh the driving is a bit dodgy but you get to know what to look out for. Our village Council tax was €176.50 this YEAR and we get our wheelie bin emptied twice a week ! Lots of other good things about living here as well.😎
You are always gonna get haters etc. I for one take my hat off to you and wish you and yours all the best. Great videos and nice to see a bit of good weather.
Pair some socks! 😂😂😂 Living the dream mate. You've inspired me to make the changes I need to, so that I can make the move with my family in the next 12 months. Just got to convince the missus. And in 2020, I decided that the government didnt deserve my tax. So its been NoMoreTax from me since then. If we were to run our companies the way the government run the country, we would be struck off and imprisoned. Very jealous. Enjoy.
Well done you ser! Look after you and your family. Nobody else will. If you ever have any questions, reach out on the Nutters In Cyprus FB page and I'll get back to you if I can help.
Im in talks now with Island homes Cyprus, seriously looking at making the move. Just concerned regarding the political climate with the troubles in the Middle East, and concerns regarding the possible effects it could have in Cyprus?
That's a decision you have to make. We're here, we don't feel anything about what's going on, seen a few planes fly over but that's the same in Cockermouth in lake district next to the military Base. My view on it is...you have US, UK military here, and many Russians in Limassol. You would be stupid to attack and cause retaliation from any of the 3 mentioned above.
@@NuttersInCyprus thanks for the response, really appreciate it. I’ve read up as much as I can on it and Cyprus is intending to stay neutral with no intentions of interfering on either side. Hey maybe it’s the safest place to be right now. Just wanted to get a straight forward answer from a UK expat who is living it for real, with no agenda. Thanks again, may well see you around if we make the leap 😁
If you are into exercise then you don't generally need any planning in Britain. In a hot country you have to plan to go early in morning or later in evening.
@@NuttersInCyprus stereotypical view of British climate. I don't know exactly what kind of exercise you have in mind? Can't think of anything worse than air conditioned gyms. Prefer fresh air.
Rachel Reeves is rumoured to be looking at introducing a leavers tax. If it’s the same as Canadas it would be 20% of your wealth including stocks, shares that you hold and haven’t sold. So 20% of absolutely everything you own. This tax is used by a lot of countries, so I’m sure at some point she/they will bring it in.
@@NuttersInCyprus you did the right thing, and you have escaped. The issue for most countries now is people are moving around so much now than they did before. Countries will be and are all ready trying to entice people to move to their country by offering nomad visas and cheaper residency visas. Before long this will become an issue for some countries, hence why the leavers tax.

Depends, if you have a working Visa you can work for a Cypriot company. If you have a job you can do remotely for a UK company, then you can get a different visa
Hi there, I like your videos, thank you for making them. Enjoy hearing success stories, glad it has all worked out for you guys. Could you please do a dashcam (if you got one) video of a car journey where you live. Would like to see the roads (hill steepness, etc) would also like to see the houses, etc. Just gives an idea of the local area. A few other things that would be interesting to know is the private health care in Cyprus, can you recmmend any particular private health care providers please. With reagard to your older British friends in Cyprus, do they have any home help for personal care/ housework and if so, how do they find it and how much does it cost? The reason am asking is that we thinking of retiring abroad because of long term care costs in the UK. We would like to remain at home and have full-time home help but that will currently cost us £1200 per week, so was wondering what Cyprus has to offer and if it is cheaper. Appreciate that it may not be a subject you want to cover, etc but just thought would ask. Thank you and hope you have an enjoyable weekend.
Hi there, I moved to Cyprus with my Cypriot husband 20 years ago. The majority of older Cypriots have a live in carer, mostly from Vietnam, Philippines or Nepal. The average cost would be around 600 euros a month if they live in and they do a great job.
I love the sun, my missus wants to go back to Italy where she’s from and I am afraid to take the plunge. Going to live in a place and embracing it and respecting the place is what it’s about and the UK is like lots of different countries in one now. Diversity they say…….yeah right
I'm at the point where I would like to leave the UK. At my work, we have taken on a chap who has had to move back to the UK from North Cyprus where he was was for 3 years. Unwell family members. Just listening to him has cemented the point that Ineed out. I was thinking of Portugal, no idea why, just have that in my head. Hopefully I'll be in the position where I can realise this. Even watching your videos I'm annoyed at the colour of the sky behind you 😅.
Love these videos mate. It's making me want to move to Cyprus more and more 😂 Btw, where did you and your family decide to live in Cyprus? I thought I heard on another video you mentioned Protaras or around that area.
Hi, 🤣 yeah everyone's wanting to come to Cyprus at the minute! Originally we wanted to move to Paralimni as we had been to Protaras for 1 weeks holiday a couple years ago! However we heard about Peyia in Paphos, did some research and decided that Paphos is more suited to full time living with children.
We lived in Pissouri until 10 years ago. Moved back to Scotland as our son didnt like Cyprus and admittedly i was on the fence myself. However, in hindsight, it was the wrong move. The UK is finished. Im 52 now and after Brexit the chances of moving anywhere without decent cash behind you is limited. We wouldnt come back to Cyprus because the wages are too low. Still wish we had stayed though
We went to butlins last year it was freezing in July 2k to stay in the wave hotel I vowed that's my last holiday in the uk was in paphos in july 23/24c and Spain 2 weeks ago 25/26c everyone is tense in the uk
The health system has improved in recent years it's hit and miss as which hospital you go to. Some horror stories but some great ones as well. I have private health insurance which I think is a good idea. The schools are. Very very poor if you have children and again best use a private school which are. Great.
Dont worry about these idiots making snid coments good luck to you and your family. Its takes balls to uproot and move to a different country i with you all the best.
Hope you can help ? Myself my husband my 18year old daughter and my 12 year old daughter are looking to move out to paphos ,but me my husband would have to work we are at the moment waiting for confirmation of jobs in November ,but are confused in what Visa and what else we need to do the pink slip says we can't work so what would we apply for hope you can help??
Hi Helen, If your on a UK passport you can't work. Unless you have a sponsor. And then it'll be bar work most likely. As your daughter is over 18 she will have to have meet the yearly earnings criteria. For us it was roughly €28k per married couple + €4k per child. As your daughter is an adult, she would have to have an adults earnings needing to be met + the bank deposit in Cyprus.
@NuttersInCyprus so you're an entrepreneur and you had a bit of luck along the way. Good luck to you. You took a gamble and eventually it paid off. You should be teaching kids in school how to make it. 👍👍. Watch out for the mozzies 😉
Bar/restaurant work, yes! But you will need a sponsor and work more than you do in the UK but for less money. Depends what you want, if your moving here for lifestyle then maybe that suits you, if your moving here to progress your career, then maybe not the best option.
still looking for a work sponsor 😂 get me out of ere

The UK is in a terrible place , I want to leave so bad . I'm 55 and it's my goal to eventually get out .

Another great video showing the reality of your move. Imagining how things will be and then experiencing life as it is doesn’t always marry up. Good to see you’re all making the most of your new life.
Thank you much appreciated, be interesting to do a 12 month update
The UK is Nice country. Nice culture. I'm not gonna pull it apart. Yes it's going through slot of turmoil but it will find its feet once again,
Could take generations, great replacement theory is hard at play
Not with clowns like him he even looks like Tommy Robinson. Instead of facing it no il run away an preach on the Internet to the people who are still there. Nobody cares go enjoy Cyprus before you get bored and jump ship again. You're not I. The uk stop pretending you care if so you would of stayed and fought simple😊
Good luck I’m jealous I love cyprus been holidaying there for over 20 years 🤙🏻
You're living the dream mate.

Thank you, very much appreciated 🙏
Ignore the hate. You have made the best decision for yourself and you're family.
Love these videos. Keep em coming.

Fair play to you mate. Been thinking of up sticks and taking my family out of the UK, your vids have been very helpful
Great video, we're looking to move to Cyprus in a couple of years and have started the planning process, property etc. This just reinforces our thoughts, so thank you

Glad you are enjoying your life in Cyprus. Μπράβο σας!
Love your videos, Good luck. i hope everything goes well for all of you.🇨🇾
Nowhere is perfect, but i would choose Cyprus over the UK every time as long as you can deal with the extreme hot summers.

Thank you for sharing all this information.

you made a comment, Some people think the rich should pay more.
Welcome to Cyprus! Much better here!

You've got me seriously thinking about this dude 😆 Ime a HGV Driver and could probably get a job overvthere easily !!
Hello mate. On a UK passport it's very very difficult, if your on an EU passport it easy!
You have to be sponsored to get work out here on UK passport. If you have an Irish parent or grandparents you can get an Irish passport, then you can work anywhere
@@NuttersInCyprus my great grandparents were Irish, could that work no ??
@@thedj5914 possibly mate, jump on Google and research, legal sites will have better answers than me.

Hi again,
I messaged you originally asking about the political climate and you gave the good grace to reply, which was greatly appreciated.

Incidentally, I live in Paphos now. Called putting my money where my mouth is. I have a "yellow slip" as I hold an Irish passport.

If you are into exercise then you don't generally need any planning in Britain. In a hot country you have to plan to go early in morning or later in evening.

I've already left, my personal tax liability is in Cyprus.

🤣🤣
Love these videos mate. It's making me want to move to Cyprus more and more 😂 Btw, where did you and your family decide to live in Cyprus? I thought I heard on another video you mentioned Protaras or around that area.
Hi,
🤣 yeah everyone's wanting to come to Cyprus at the minute!
Hi Derek, thank for sharing and thank you for watching 🙏
So at what stage of the day do you work? Sorry if iv missed a video that covers that

Any views on North Cyprus? Thanks
Never been!
It is always best to avoid handling stolen goods.... or homes.
What crime in cyprus has been going all my life there? I've never seen a thing hapoen.
You have a few quid coming in from uk fair to say
Whats your thoughts on the overall medical system there....
Fortunately not had to use it yet. But everyone I've spoken to who has, have sworn it's really good
The health system has improved in recent years it's hit and miss as which hospital you go to.
@stephenmiller8620 cheers mate thank you! 🙏
Hi Helen,
If your on a UK passport you can't work.
Thankyou for replying 👌🌠
Ignore the haters about your fridge comment mate.. At least you didn't tell us you were spending the day polishing your trumpet 😂
🤣🤣
Sorry if i missed it but what do you do for a living (occupation)

@NuttersInCyprus so you're an entrepreneur and you had a bit of luck along the way. Good luck to you. You took a gamble and eventually it paid off. You should be teaching kids in school how to make it. 👍👍. Watch out for the mozzies 😉
@lazylad8544 cheers mate! And luckily again we haven't seen a mozzy yet 😀
what are those sunglasses bro, they look great.....
They are cheapo's from Protaras €5-€10 from a shop on the strip. They have 4 rings on them, look like the Audi rings 😀
Can I ask what your line of work is dude? thx

How easy is it to get work in paphos?
Bar/restaurant work, yes! But you will need a sponsor and work more than you do in the UK but for less money.
Depends what you want, if your moving here for lifestyle then maybe that suits you, if your moving here to progress your career, then maybe not the best option.
