I know. You bought it too early. It should be a rule for all Dart Zone products. Don't buy early because of Quality control lol But with the modability there is no reason to go back to the stryfe.
Great review. I really enjoy this one. I was unsure about the rev trigger at first glance but after fielding it for a day, I can say I enjoy it much more than the Venom Pro & plan on keeping the Maxim stock for the foreseeable future.
Great review! I’m very curious about the long term reliability of the Maxim, my MK3 worked great for half a year before it started to have issues. I guess we have to wait and see where it goes tho.
The mag fits about 14 darts without squashing them, maybe 15 but i think it was 14. And all this talk about the rev trigger burning out...ive got 2 Venoms, and 2 Maxims and havent had 1 issue with any of them.
@allencarey7336 yea I've used the mag with 15 but I recommend it unless you are flinging foam right that instance cause at best it'll smoosh darts at worse mess up your spring and follower in the mag! Glad your blasters have held up!
I might actually give this a try despite being far more of a springer guy. Although I honestly think nothing is a "Stryfe Killer" as there's just so many out there and so much mod support for the Stryfe. The only true way the Stryfe dies is time itself, as everyone moves on slowly as happened with the Strongarm and others.
Yep that's very true. Every blaster starts somewhere and I think this honestly performs well and fits the same profile/category of the Stryfe and Styfe X and puts them to shame.
Great review! You mentioned that you prefer angled talon mags - what do you prefer about them? I only have blasters that take straight mags so I have no point of reference for angled mags.
Entirely personal preference I will admit that. But I feel like it's easy to slam them in since the angled mag well guides it home easier. Also I do breaking up the monotony, enjoying using another platform and still be competitive. Just always using standard Talon mags can get boring when you have so many blasters running them.
@@botsnblasters Makes sense! I'm new to the hobby this year so I haven't had enough time to get tired of straight talon mags. The concept of short darts and powerful blasters is still amazing to me.
Blaster of the year, by far. For $40, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better. When the only thing your blaster can be compared to is another blaster made by the same company, you're doing everything right. This doesn't put the nail in Nerf's coffin, this comes by ten years later to polish the gravestone. 🪦
Great video thanks for the review.
@DartsNStuff glad you enjoyed it
This thing legitimately would have been the real stryfe replacement
If it didn’t burn out immediately

@@botsnblasters that’s their fault for not getting quality control right lol
@@botsnblasters also I haven’t seen the full video yet but the cage is the same geometry as the stryfe
@@TesserasNerfRoom Yea I said that in the video :p
@@botsnblasters ah alright
No issues with mine yet! 🤞🤞
Awesome to hear!

For sure! I see no issues with keeping this blaster in stock configuration due it's performance. Perfect for competitive play and backyard play!
Runs at around 130 fps with the Omnia/Pulsar Pro Battery. Which also fits in the Venom Pro.
Oh nice I should have tried the Venom Pro battery!
I would've hoped for a full camo but leaves room to customize
@gothamsfinest7317 yea if this is gonna be the new platform going forward I'm sure we will see different colors and kits so we can customize it up

@WannabeNerfOperator yep I think it's an on going issue with Dart Zone.
You can't kill the stryfe if ur using its internals. Haha
Google the Ship of Theseus my good sir. The Stryfe hasn't been the Stryfe since 2013
@@botsnblasters so true thank you for pointing that out

Grwat video. I am happy to report my 4th one has been issue free thus far. I am taking it to battle this Sunday so we will see how she preforms.
@@nicholasmazzarella2720 that's awesome to hear. It seems like the problems were with the first batch of Maxims
