Some of you people in this comment section are heartless. Clean energy is great but have a heart. Coal mining provides a lot of good jobs for a lot of good people who would give the shirt off their back to someone in need. I can say I fully support coal because it supports a lot of people I know including myself and I’m damn proud of that!
i love the fact that someone was willing to come out tell the truth and not be influenced by the money they have to go to bars and buy guns, But people who are and have been stewards of the land. Thank you for speaking out, we are not a favored people here

And that's another thing!!! Stop manufacturing vehicles. If you guys could only see the masses of mall sized lots that have BRAND SPANKING NEW cars/suv/trucks baking in the sun cause no one can afford/ qualify for financing. Why do we need an upgrading model when the old ones haven't be recycled or sold? Oh, not to mention the lunacy of all electric by 27.
I have a heart... when the wind and water no longer participate because of corruption and poor management and greed this is the result!

No one truly wants these people to suffer but they need to accept that it's time to move on.
While on a subjective level i can feel how the change is affecting these people, yet objectivly there is no way around of having to depend less and less on fossile energies. Reasons to get rid of them are overwhelming. Having Trump appeal on a subjectiv and emotional level to get votes from these folks is wrong on so many levels, i just feel bad for those who when they wake up will feel endlessly enraged and disappointed.
West Virginia (Appalachian Coal) is huge and has crippled our beautiful state...hopefully something that replaces it....

Because of the massive amount of coal its been said that the Powder River basin is the’
Saudi Arabia’ of coal!
There is suppose to be at least a two hundred year supply of coal!
J D just shut up I live in Gillette and every one I know is a coal miner and with out coal you lose way to many jobs and my town becomes a ghost town

Had to go full liberal at the end and how bad it is congrats no one wants to show how good the land is after they are done it's even better then before they started lots and lots of wild life on reclaimed land that had no water and shelter that now do.

The United States has become so reliant on fossil fuels such as coal. I feel bad for the people who work in the coal industry, but climate change is a much bigger issue that's affecting everyone in the world. There needs to be a change to renewable energy now.
