This is some of the best Link gameplay I've seen so far. It seems like the way to play Link in this game is to not over-rely on the bombs but instead use them as a distraction and fear-tactic while you are building percentage and then use it as an edge-guard option when percentages get high. The Links that try and over-use the bomb early on generally seem to get wrecked.
I like this take. I usually don’t use the bomb at all except for when my opponent is offstage, but I was wondering if I could incorporate them into neutral. Thanks for suggesting a good approach.
Or it could just crack instead of shrink to be more true to botw. It would be similar to yoshi's shield. Of course this would be a pretty big buff because then he couldn't be shield poked.
Also let zeldas shield be nayrus and let it and her side b share a magic meter so if one runs out you cant use the other. That or just let her shield straight up reflect projectiles

Never has it been more apparent the demographic that the smash community is mostly composed of than watching them absolutely OVERKILL the 'years of research' or 'not part of the smash community' controversy thing. I love how a friend told me week 1 after release that he's not going to main Link in ultimate anymore because "remote bombs are worse" lol remote bombs are far better than the old regular ones imo

I predict that Link's Edgeguarding is going to remain top tier and only get better with time, but using bomb on-stage will start to see counterplay if Salem continues to be successful with the character.

The thing about Edgeguarding is that you *want* to run off the level to cover more options as a projectile player to receive low risk / high reward. Example you can use bomb to cover illusion in the Fox matchup, force a low recovery, react to firefox and run off Dair.
I'm glad to see Salem stepping up his game. His Lonk went from volatile to dangerous. Now we just need to see how far this goes. I'm smelling top 5 potential if he keeps up the improvement.

Fatality was the best Falcon in Smash 4 hands down, but after seeing MKLeo wipe the floor with him in Gen 6, I'm definitely leaning towards this guy's falcon. Fatality just needs more time to figure out Smash Ultimate Falcon imo

An experienced link player is one of the worst match-ups you can get. Everybody underestimates adult link, they think he's low tier. The truth is he's just incredibly difficult to master, but when you do he's one of the best characters in the game. Also, if you bois didn't know, fire will detonate those bombs. So when I go up against a falcon player I'll leave a bomb right in the middle of the stage and if they try a kick slide it detonates on them

Ok so this is called a double elimination format. Instead of being eliminated after losing a single set, you are out after losing two sets. People are first placed in what we call the winners bracket. At that point it's structured just like a single elim bracket. Now upon losing in winners bracket, you drop to the losers bracket where you are gonna face other people that dropped from winners while the one who defeated you advances to the next round of winners bracket So let's say player A and player B both lost during Winners Semi Finals to player C and D respectively. A and B then drop to the losers bracket where they are each gonna have to face of against a player that dropped out of winners earlier but managed to advance through the losers brackets. If A and B win their respective sets against the losers, they face off in Losers Semi Finals. Losing there gets you a 4th place finish. Meanwhile C and D face of in Winners Finals. The winner (let's say it's C) advances to Grand Finals and the loser (D) drops to Losers Finals where he faces whoever won Losers Semis. Losing in Losers Finals gets you a 3rd place finish. The winner of that set fights C in Grand Finals. The one coming from losers has to beat the one from winners (C) in two sets to win the tournament since C, coming from winners, hasn't lost a single set up to that point. Hope I make sense.... Falcon seems like he gets made worse with every new title. I feel like that's why a lot of people like to see him do crazy stuff and get so loud is because it's almost to a point where it's really difficult to do just that.
David Hartman he actually got better in ultimate. He used to be nearly unplayable because of his garbage recovery but now that he can come back on stage he’s super fun to play

The crowd seems to be one sided even though that link was better than the other guys falcon. It was annoying as hell too. anytime falcon almost landed a dair they would go wild.

Link should have a unique shield instead of the bubble--he should have daruk's protection slowly shrink instead :)

He has other characters in the smash 4 besides bayo. He plays Greninja and a couple others.
