To see my reaction to Takumi's next performance (the following week in the semi-finals), check out this video ---> th-cam.com/video/pUmd3APdXiE/w-d-xo.html
He is a student of lennart green that's why he's using his moves. He also has a download tutorial presented by shin lim. It's called a study on lennart green.
Ihsibanah Kaito He’s Lennart’s student??? And Lennert said he surpassed him? I’ve heard of Takumi before just bc he was on Shin Lim’s Instagram. So I’ve checked his Instagram and also know he’s a boss with coins too. That laser deal and lateral palm he’s doing is PERFECT! It’d be nice to have Lennart Green be your magic teacher though 🤔
He is actually Lennart’s protege and spent years training with him. Lennart said himself that Takumi had surpassed him, and that is quite the statement considering the source.
Who ever thumbs down on this and we know its not really a magic this guy really has a super quick and a very smooth hands to deal with his performance...100 thumbs up to you...love it..
It's so wild, I've watched this dude for like 2 years on instagram after just stumbling upon him. I remember being blown away with how clean it was, cool to see him get attention.
Stunning sleights. I think his performance persona is great. The hat and glasses make him instantly recognisable - the whole "mafia magician" thing creates a strong brand. Very clever. Always fun to watch your reactions, Jason, thanks for the upload. :)
I think you’re right regarding the mafia presentation. I think he’d be better served with a more open and engaging persona. He’s amazing though all the same.
By far your greatest commentary I've seen you post! I was also very impressed with how liquid he made it look. (I'll agree on the mafia look. I found it peculiar, but somehow I can't imagine his showcase without the odd mafia look lol)
What I love about the Lennart Green stuff is how much magicians love it. To us normies, it’s just some impressive card tricks. But when it’s done well, their peers know they’ve seen something special.
Lennart Green has to be this guys hero lol. I don’t blame him because I love Lennart Green. This looks very similar to Lennart’s act especially the one Lennart did at his TED talk.
@@nesleyheiney3111 check out his stuffs ! Like "A study on lennart green by takumi" , Lennart himself claimed that takumi has surpassed him . I bought the study and it was far better than i expected ;)
This guy actually shows why sometimes it's depressing to do magic😂😂 you practice so much and people can't even imagine how much you practice, I'm not even close to his level and when my friends realised how much I practice they were blown away more than any trick I showed them, but that's also part of the fun in magic :)
Awesome! Except at 4:30 where I clearly saw the rest of the cards in his right hand, so clearly that for a moment I thought it was part of the routine to see them 😅
I loved your reaction - especially because you proved something: "Magicions keep an eye on things where nobody else looks..." - at 08:42 "So both him and Shin Lim are involving their hair" :-D
I think if he played a game in his performance rather than explained what he was going to do, utilizing the same tricks, it would have caught everyone by surprise a lot more. I think a good comparison to this is Richard Turner where he also has a similar performance, but his mystery is more along the fact that this dude is blind and can still hustle you with pure skill. Overall great performance and I'd definitely pay to see this guy's show.
Great video sir.i know how difficult to master lennart green's card deal or lazer deal. Im also a magician, im not an expert. I only love coin magic. But what takumi did. Change my mind to learn such card tricks like that😊 more power to your channel sir. I hope mine too😊
snap deal was difficult to you???? I got it like in 5 minutes. And thanks mr Lennart, it has been SO usefull to me over the years, altrough my audience never knows I use it, never show it in this "vanishing" way. Used it mostly to switch, came up with 99% perfect acaan thanks to this sleight.
Great video again !! But whats up with "comparing to Shin Lim..." ( i know he won Agt and this is a Agt show) i like Shin Lim, don't get me wrong, but there are better magicians than him in every aspect in My opinion.
For ppl who don’t know, a lateral palm for the table and the laser deal are SUPER HARD to get down. He’s just as good as Lennart Green. I wish Lennart Green was my magic teacher 😢
Dominic Violo To do the lateral palm with the snap, vanishes, and reproductions is hard man. If you can do it THAT cleanly ever single time and in front of a live audience and the world, props to you
beautiful sleights. Apoteosis of Lennart Green...But !!! what about the carisma of the sweddish cook...beg your pardon, about the swedish doctor ..."Snap deal" is surely the legacy of Lennart in the magnificence world of card magic. Respect for Takumi to be so good, and love for Lennart who is (really) a great teacher (personal experience). Really good job Jason
I did my first card trick today since I’ve been watching your channel and learning. I did one of the really easy ones but one that looks cool..anyway after fukin it up about 3 tunes I got it right and my 6 year old son loved it...lol..maybe I’ll try it on an adult next.
Hey that's so great you did you first trick! It can be a very fun hobby. (the only downside is you spend a lot of your time alone practicing.) Anyway, congrats on that! And yeah generally speaking magicians all start off by messing up a lot and learning what NOT to do. How to avoid certain situations by trial and error. BTW which trick was it?
I’m really not sure what it’s called but it looked really cool and easy when I saw how to do it....when I learned how to do it the guy on you tube said it was a “fair” trick and not hard to do so I tried it it out....I had to have 2 new decks and I opened one and told my son to give it a real quick shuffle and then a cut with out me ever touching them except to put them back in the box.i told him to take the card where he cut it and look at it and keep it.i put the cards back in the box and took the other deck and picked the exact card out of the new deck that matched his card out of the first deck...do you know the one I mean? Anyway he was floored by it and so was everyone I did it to today and yesterday....thanks for getting me started on this hobby man you don’t know what it means to me.without going into my past to much I will say I’m a recovering opiate addict and doin this has saved me from slipping back into the hell im digging out of because it keeps me focused...any way Jason you the man and keep putting up good vids for us.iv just about watched every thing that you have put up can you suggest any other good channels?
Amon garra cirice the destroyer wow so glad to hear you are turning things around! Yeah this can be a great hobby. Chris Ramsay is probably the best youtuber to follow for magic stuff plus other random things. Also Disturb Reality has a lot of tutorials. Also 52Kards. These 3 are the big ones. The giants. Also I recommend picking up the book: Royal road to card magic. Best way to start with card magic and also checking out TH-cam videos to compliment the book!
In a video called a study on Lennart Green by Shin Lim he mentions Takumi was a student of Lennart Green with a quote of Lennart saying he has surpassed him. Shin was also obviously impressed by the skills of Takumi..
another great reaction video. IMO I think Takumi is more smooth than Lennart (comparing this to Lennart's Ted performance) but Lennart's got more personality / comedy. I took this act as a homage to Lennart since it mirrors Lennart so closely. As technically brilliant as Takumi may be, I feel to break in to main stream he needs more personality. He needs to pull on the heart strings, it should be more emotional / dramatic, like Shin Lim. Shin posted a video with Takumi in past. I believe Shin sells this act for Takumi on Shin's website, it's call "A STUDY ON LENNART GREEN".
@@JasonParkerMagic the reason I say it, is because there's a time where you don't hear the sound. Which is even weirder. And to hear one on the mic over other things seems a bit unrealistic.
I have some question about your video copyright, you answered me, It covered fair use. But my shin lim video got Copyright claim. Of courese, I`m not gotta get money with that video. But I was wondering did you also got the Copyright claim. Can I talk with you about some copyright issue?

Lennart's protege has surpassed the master himself.
Lennart Green has to be this guys hero lol. I don’t blame him because I love Lennart Green. This looks very similar to Lennart’s act especially the one Lennart did at his TED talk.
