You got it the wrong way around bro. Mercedes don’t produce their own, they are produced by companies such as Febi and Lemförder to Mercedes spec and they supply Mercedes. It’s just that if those companies wanna also sell as third party themselves they can’t sell them as Mercedes parts, so the star is not on them.
TofumanFC3S not sure what your saying is the wrong way around. I’m aware of this and the fact that the star is ground off when the items are sold aftermarket instead of to MB. This has been known for years

I heard on the 500E forums that even Lemforder has a country of origin stated on the parts and some are India, some are Germany, and the dealership ones say Germany

All you needed to do is burn the rubber out with a propane torch and the sleeve would have easily hammered out.
What did u do to the differential? Mine is slacked.
Not sure what you mean - this differential got all seals replaced and reinstalled, I didnt do any mechanical repairs to it.

I have had the best experience with "Lemförder" for spare parts.
Very clean, I wish I could do that to mine and just take advantage to send the diff to check for the buzzes and noises I was telling you the other day
