Bait Fishing In A Small Creek

- Holly and I discovered this great little small creek to go fishing in back in summer. A few days after filming a video there I returned to try again. As I already had a fresh fishing video filmed here, I decided to archive this one in the vault to share in my From The Vault series in winter.

Absolutely cleaned up on the carp there mate, good too see something else come along but a yellowbelly, definitely would have been cool 👍
The adventure of exploring new fishing spots, is probably my favourite part of fishing, also why i think i prefer freshwater fishing.
Keep up the awesome work as always mate 👍
Thanks mate. I'm with you on the adventure, that's what I love the most as well.
Favourite type of fishing, your always a chance with bait, especially worms, legend 🍻🫡❤️
Thanks mate. I agree, I love this type of fishing.
@@robbiefishing when the fishings slow in my parts I tend to watch you and starlo even more then usual, I shouldn’t because I get extremely jealous 😂, but I always will have time to watch your vids, legend 🍻🫡
Nice mate another species for the little creek cheers
Thanks mate. I must revisit this creek now that it's winter.
Love these types of videos
Thanks mate. 👍👍

Thanks so much for your kind words John. 👍👍

Craptastic more like! ;oP
@@TheGreatoutdoorsAndGourmetVic hahaha
Nice place there and good fun to by looks 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Cam. I must get back there and try it in winter.
Nice one Robbie. I love the content. You’re a positive energy and definitely someone I’d love to go fishing with. Very clever to the “from the vault” idea. I’ve been catching stocked trout in Melbourne but they never last long haha
Thanks so much for your kind words mate. Yep those stocked trout get cleaned out by the vultures pretty quickly don't they.
A quick watch before State Of Origin....Good timing Robbie!
I miss Summer....
Haha thanks for tuning in mate. 👍👍
Great vid Robbie!🎉🎉
Thanks mate.
Great to watch as always thanks for sharing Mate ( I even got a mention too haha) .
Top tip in wetting the line before pulling tight, you are 100% correct the friction can weaken it..
Hope all good mate.
Cheers,
Rob.
Thanks so much mate. 👍👍👍
Amazing what turns UP in those little creeks!
I remember when you fished there last time, Robbie. Great video mate.
Thanks Wayne. I must get back there and try it now in the winter months.
hi robbie totally enjoy from the volt vids thank you
Thank you so much for watching. 👍
Hi Robbie great video mate 👍👍👍
Thanks so much Kevin. 👍👍
Love your videos mate... look forward to em!! Keep it up
Thanks so much mate. 👍👍
great video mate. i love the fact that you showd us one of the easiest knots for the hock and sinker. will be easier next time hock up the line.
Thanks so much mate.
@@robbiefishing you're welcome. also looks like i need to go back to school and learn how to spell lol.
Awesome mate, lovely peaceful spot.
Thanks mate, it sure is a ripper.
G'day Robbie, good to see what summer has in store🐟
Thanks mate, I'm looking forward to it.
love it Robbie, another great video!
Thanks so much mate.
Hey mate, keep up the great work
Thanks so much mate. 👍
Nice Vid Robbie, I think I might have to start doing a "From The Vault" type of thing next summer, the fishing has been real quiet lately. Hence not many vids from me, I really enjoyed seeing what looked like a nice warm day beside the creek, after the rain we are having lately.
Thanks Dmac. Great idea. I'm so glad that I started this series a few years back. 👍👍
Another episode of the life of the carp KING of Wang
Haha thanks mate.
Hey Robbie, I was just thinking, “ if i was an octopus, would fishing be easier?” 😂, the things that my ADHD makes me think is wild 😂😂, great video as always! ATM in on the hunt for some fish to do a catch and cook! And try not to get eaten by a croc at the same time! Hopefully I can get out tmmrw.
Love your videos bro, please keep posting, your posts always make me happier! Tight lines bro 🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙
Thanks so much mate. Stay away from those crocs. Haha I know all about an ADHD brain, I've been dealing with one for almost half a century.
@@robbiefishing mine has gotten better…. I was in a really dark space a few years ago, very dark, but I’m all better now, I had some help and living a good life now!
That was awesome, shame ya lost the big one though! 😁🎣
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Prime fishing content👌🏻
Thanks so much mate. 👍👍
Good one Robbie👍🏽🍺
Thanks mate. 👍👍👍
When I was a kid I used to give the carp to a Goanna that lived in a hollow tree near my favourite fishing spot.
That's so cool. Goannas are such amazing creatures.
Awesome as Robbie
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Hi Robbie ceep up these amazing videos
Keep
Thanks buddy. 👍👍
Your jokes are terrible! Lol. Watching whilst eating elevenses. Love watching you. You n family keep well. From the UK
Haha thank you so much. I am the self proclaimed master of dad jokes. 😂😂
You've got me saying carpeo... onya Robbie🤣 even soaked some worms tonight for a trout and got 3 carpeo (no trout👎) yes even said it out loud whilst nobody was even there or camera to talk to lol..a 50 & two 60s in the carpeo stakes
Haha that's so funny. That is actually their scientific name, Cyprinus Carpio. LOL I'm turning you into a scientist. 🤣🧑🔬🥼
@@robbiefishing😂
great vid robbie.
Thanks mate. 👍👍
I cant wait for summer robbie i went fishing last weekend and caught a Murray cod in the Torrens river in the city couldn't believe it there is only carp and catfish in there well not anymore
WOW that's unreal, I've never heard of that happening before. Well done mate. 👍👍
Awesome vid keep up the content
Thanks so much mate.
How good was that
Nice to catch a reddie
Thanks Pete. I really enjoy fishing in this little spot.
Yesss Robbie just setting up go go carp fishing tomorrow 😂first time 😂👍🎣🇦🇺🤙
Thanks so much mate. Good luck tomorrow. 👍👍👍
@@robbiefishing thanks mate 😂👍🎣🤙🇦🇺
We call the paternoster rig the Kentucky rig here in America and its possibly the only one you'll ever need to know 😂.
Super lines pro knot or cats claw.
Your discussion of carp made me think of an old novelty song titled Amos Moses. Here is a line from that song where if you substituted carp for alligator lol. "He hunted alligator for a living
He'd just knock them in the head with a stump" if you don't know the song a listen is good for a laugh.
Hahahahaha you could easily substitute the word alligator with carp. LOL 🤣
@@robbiefishing the artist recorded a series of novelty songs but also had a successful acting career including playing the friend/companion in the Smokey and the Bandit movie series.
Yes that kind of fishing is enjoyable, you never know what you're going to get, apart from carp.
Thanks mate, It's possibly my favourite type of fishing.
This is just ny prime time for my camping trip tomorrow until Wednesday not going to be doing much fishing or cray fishing just father and son time dirt bikes deer hunting and fire haha
Thanks mate, that sounds like an awesome trip. I hope you both have a blast.
Roll on summer - I think I remember what warm days are 🤔
Haha I agree Frank. In summer I can't wait for winter and in winter I can't wait for summer.
At the moment I think of the good fishing and the warm weather.
What I DON'T think about are the flies, the mozzies, the stinking heat, creeks drying up, not having tea until 10:30pm etc... LOL 😂
@@robbiefishing All true, but right now for me it's only about warmer temeratures and less rain!
16:31 should be lubricating every single knot to stop friction every fisherman knows that, love how ya sell it like it’s something just you do cause ya know 😂😂
I mentioned it because there's a lot of people watching my channel who don't know this kind of stuff. I like helping them and giving them tips.
G’day Robbie, can you do a video about how to make a paternoster rig. I didn’t really get the one in the video. Thx
Hi mate, I have a couple on my channel but I will endeavour to make a new, more modern one.
I've never used braided lines, they were something deep sea and game fishermen used for a long time but being stuck somewhere in the late 20th century with fishing technology I just never really picked up on any advantages/benefits.
Hi mate, I'm stuck with technology in many ways myself. Haha
For me, braided line has more benefits with cod lure fishing than anything else.
Careful Robbie the bait your using might soon be illegal the nanny state is watching lol😉
To join uni knot braid to braid ie buffer comes into play or Dacron buffer to mono or jel spun fluro carbon mono I found the best super 💯 or endure sw mono.
Are we allowed to know what system this is Robbie?
Always enjoy a carp removal morning
Thanks mate. I'm in the Ovens River system.
AS FOR LINE DOG TOOTH SUPER LINE PISS PERFECT THAT STUFF.😂
Awesome, I will have to check it out..
Gday robbie was wondering what reel you where using
Hi mate, the light rod had a Daiwa on it.
You need an old fibreglass boat rod about as thick as your thumb and some 25lb line for those big units! lol
Haha great idea. LOL 🤣
I have always wanted to ask why you kill the carp thats a jail term over here in uk
g'day Robbie are you grateful with what yabby's u catch?
Hi mate, yes I am always grateful for anything that I catch.
Clear water here in QLD IE SNAGS STRIKE TIGERS ONE OF THE BEST FOR AUSSIE NATIVES THAT 2INS IS LETHAL . BEAT GULP LURES AND Z---MAN PLASTICS.😂😂😂😂😂. TOP VIDEO TOP INFO.🎉
Hi robbie it is zac just wondering if you can teach me to cast a batecaster
Hi Zac, I hope you're going well mate.
If you search "robbiefishing how to cast a baitcaster reel" you will find a couple of older videos that I have made teaching people how to use baitcaster reels..👍👍
A swallowed hook is a death sentence when you cut the line ,dead fish.
No it's not. It's not ideal, but they definitely don't die. Some might, but most don't.
A friend of mine gut hooked a Blackfish. So he cut the line and put it in his fish tank. The next morning the hook was on the floor of the tank. LOL He was blown away.
I have caught a number of fish with hooks coming out their bums. As I said, not ideal... But definitely not a death sentence.
Bad
Robbie I’ve always wondered why they have different names for different knots? 🪢 n what they mean do they name them after people?
I'm not actually sure to be honest. A running sinker no doubt named because the sinker can run up the line. The word Paternoster is actually Latin for "Lords Prayer". Perhaps a reference to the fishing needing a priest just before they take the bait?
