My dad told me one time, Andres hit and broke the score board at the back of the stadium with a Homerun. Good old days! Galarraga is a BEAST

He was a magic player, there was something different in him comparing with the rest of players of his generation

He won gold gloves too. Dude was a baller. Also hit +40hrs in ATL at Turner field which wasn't a hitters park. His power played in all parks.

He was the most terrifying hitter in the league. Something about his batting stance always made him seem like he was about to hit the ball 600 feet.

Could have been steroids as well. He did play in the era.

As an old man, Big Cat hit the longest home run to left field in the memory of Giant fans at AT&T.
He was a naturally explosive hitter who may or may not have juiced. But what fun to watch this guy.

One of my favorite players ever and a real treat to watch him at bat, unusual batting stance was, I think, intimidating for opposing pitchers.

Andres Galarraga's 399 home runs are worth much more than the home runs of many hall-of-fame baseball players, as Andrés hit his 399 home runs without the help of steroids.

@@Onlyinthe619 I think not. He looks strong but not in an artificial way, and his athleticism was impeccable. His timing had a lot to do with his power, too. I don't believe he was juicing. Neifi Perez was juicing, there's the irony.

    The Big Cat.
I've watched a lot of homerun compilations but this one always stands out.
Fun fact: The only homerun I ever saw Greg Maddux hit was against Kevin Brown.

I met him at Veteran’s Stadium one day in the concourse level during a game (he was suspended a game or 2 for arguing the day before I think).. the guy who took his place at first? A rookie named Todd Helton 😂

Dave mentions Myril Hoag, the last Yankee to collect 6 hits in a game back in 1934. A full game (the 2nd oldest to still exist) between the Tigers & Yankees in 1934 is on TH-cam. I listened to it this afternoon while I worked on spreadsheets. Myril was playing that day.
