  • This time, we will introduce an idea for a useful woodworking tool using a claw nut.
We devised a mechanism that allows for quick release by machining a claw nut. This video demonstrates the use of corner crimp clamps.
This channel shares useful woodworking and DIY techniques, unique craft ideas, and how to make jigs.

Thanks for the video, it's a great idea 👍 What's really interesting about this quick release handle is that you don't use a magnet, unlike other projects I've seen, which is perfect when using stainless steel threaded rods.

Is it always perfectly square/rectangular, with 90 degree corners? I like the quick release feature - that’s almost a must with this type of clamp in order to be versatile for different sizes of projects.
The only part I would question is the size of your threaded rod. It looks to me that M8 is too small for continuous use. It is probably perfect for smaller frames and/or boxes, but I would be concerned with long-term use along with storage practice and the rods getting slightly bent here and there. Otherwise, it looks like a nice glue-up clamp. Thank you for sharing your idea!

Thank you for watching! It's not always a perfect right angle. Therefore, fine adjustments are required during work.
As you pointed out, the M8 flexes slightly, so there is a limit to the size that can be used. If you are using it for a large size, M10 or higher may be better. Thank you for your valuable advice.
