I will also say they failed changing the timeline. All they had to do was write it as Spartacus, Tales From The House Of Batiatus. We know that Quintus was a THIRD generation Lanista from a ludis with a long and proud history with many champions. There was nearly unlimited possibilities there.
yea cause I remember in the last season Spartacus, that Ashur help the roman to attack them and lost and he got capture and killed, so I guess in this timeline Ashhur success and they just gave him his own school, that just sound, I got a feeling those they only made this show cause they probably was lose the license and decide to make this, and it a What if season, we got wait and see if good or not
As much as I liked Nick Tarabay's performance as Ashur, what the hell are these people thinking that, Ashur of all characters, could carry his own series?! For crying out loud, He died and was killed off for a reason.
That's a really weird premise. Honestly, I'd rather they just start a new series with a fresh cast altogether instead of just pretending Ashur didn't get his whole damn head chopped off. Lol
So somehow Ashur lives exen after having his head cutoff by navia so why not bring Spartacus back I mean it is called Spartacus I'm sure he can be revived too i didn't like Ashur and bring back Agron and Nasir I love Spartacus I just watched it again two nights ago on Tubi
I was confused about this show since the first time I heard about because HIS CHARACTER DIED. "Alternate timeline" ahhhh OKAY. Why? Absolutely love Spartacus, but the retcon into a different timeline rather than keeping continuity is a bit lazy and annoying. Nick Taraby is a good actor, a lot of the old cast were amazing, but I feel like the whole idea is massively disrespectful to the original story and characters. It still sounds like a fun entertaining watch, but lacking the incredible depth of the original characters' struggles. The old character had a lot at stake, they were flawed and tragic characters that rose to great heroic and won only at great cost and sacrifice. Sad to undercut all of that for what will just be random gladiator show in a similar style.
So this it What If season, idk about this, it sound more they probably only did this cause they was about to lose the license and just made this to keep it, maybe it be good or not we just got wait and see and also they could have done a new season of after Spartacus failed rebel, easily, that what I would done, and I hope it good me and my friend would watch Spartacus everytime it came on and also R.I.P Andy Whitfield, he was a good actor
I always took issue with Spartacus's 3 slave revolts it's too similar to Nero's 3 post mortem assailants. Something the books never emphasized. It seems an oversimplification of the downside of the battle-tested society. One of the important aspects of ancient society is commerce. Roman coins have been embedded into the framework of great houses. Only those houses had the agricultural necessities to condone slavery. The excess of fighting led to outbreaks of gladiatorial combat. It was not a common sight or situation to be in both. Slavery and Gladiator. They are two different things.
@tasosdourekas1383 no i remember hearing about house of ashur probably a few years after spartacus finished. Im guessing it either phased out and came back or they seriously took this long. I completely forgot about it
@@356z Steven DeKnight (the creator/showrunner) had stated back in 2012 that he would love to do a House of Ashur series, but as a distant dream and nobody really took it seriously. Also, House of Ashur always existed as concept in fanfiction work among the fandom.
Nah, Liam was great, in some ways better than Andy. Personally I would’ve preferred Andy throughout, but Liam was hand picked by everyone that mattered, ESPECIALLY Andy.
They are pushing it with the ashur story line there is no way ashur survived his head damn near getting chopped off. Come on man could have based it off of Spartacus’ son with the wife of Glober or something but Ashur that’s a hard sale on him not dying in that scene
What did you think of Spartacus: House of Ashur?

it’s a what if brah
RIP Andy Whitfield
waaaaait we're getting spartacus back!?
HECK YEAH!
The moment I heard alternate timeline I immediately checked out
Yep, same here
Yeah, i’m sure with alternate timeline. There will be Female gladiators with purple hair romans. Why not just make a new story arc….
The original series was SOOOO GOOD! Lucy Lawless was my favorite. I LOVED her!
So Spartacus with no Spartacus and also an alternate reality where he failed?!

@@SoldierSpiderxAshur's head was cutoff by Naviah they should bring Spartacus back too
@ yea they could bring alot back basic on this what if episode like Spartacus could escape and come back for payback
@@tarikdownie5865 I mean TBF he failed in his timeline too. Lol
Lucy Lawless Is Also Coming Back, I Can't Wait!
Isn’t Lawless on the cast list on IMDB? So I’m pretty sure some people are coming back.
I thought Lucy Lawless returns too?
Female gladiator? Aiiiiiiight imma head out.
I mean: you had to be REALLY good to draw me back in anyway. Thats not the way. Im over it.
As much as I liked Nick Tarabay's performance as Ashur, what the hell are these people thinking that, Ashur of all characters, could carry his own series?! For crying out loud, He died and was killed off for a reason.
Thank you I agree
Kinda my thoughts as well but still excited for a spin off!
So an alternate reality about a show called Spartacus that doesn't include Spartacus. Yea hard pass for me
Bring Lucy Lawless back in all bath house scenes😊😊😊😊
Would be cool if they get the egyptian back, that dude was insanely strong
That's a really weird premise. Honestly, I'd rather they just start a new series with a fresh cast altogether instead of just pretending Ashur didn't get his whole damn head chopped off. Lol
This will probably not have the same impact as the original
I think I should be included in the cast due to my gladiator type physique and movie star good looks. cough cough.
He died, he lost his head 🤣 🙄

You saw Monty Python Quest for the Holy Grail right? When Navia cut off Ashur's head he was heard to quip Tis but a scratch.

Who to lose the license by whom? STARZ and Steven DeKnight have the rights. Its their own property.
How about a Julius Caesar spin-off..?

So who is Spartacus? Is he even a feature? Not a fan of "alternate timeline histories" but Claudia Black? You betcha I'll tune in.
Can't 😮wait
This was rumored over 10 years ago lol
Yes, a Spartacus show was rumored 12 years ago when the original one was about to end, but not this (House of Ashur). A Ceasar show was the rumor.

@tasosdourekas1383 it must have been that. I just know as soon as I heard house of ashur I remember something about a show on him
It looks corny.
The new guy they cast as Spartacus was trying too hard. Wasn't believable.
