Indian Space Research Organization has crossed another milestone in the series of satellite launches. ISRO's GSLV-F14 launch from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota was successful. The countdown started at 2.05 pm on February 16.. continued for 27.30 hours and on the 17th at 5.35 pm GSLV-F-14 blasted off from the second launch pad at Shar. The 2275 kg Insat-3 DS satellite was launched into the fixed orbit.
