Respectfully, duolingo wont get you very far. Studying out of a real book, taking notes, and making flashcards is a far, far more effective use of your time and you'll learn like 10x as fast that way
There's 25 different dialects spread throughout Germany 11 of them are the most common. These include Swabian (Schwäbisch), Berlin dialect (Berlinerisch), Ruhr area dialect (Ruhrdeutsch), Saxon (Sächsisch), Alemannic (Badisch), Cologne dialect (Kölsch), Hessian (Hessisch), Hamburg dialect (Hamburgerisch), Low German (Plattdeutsch), Palatine (Pfälzisch), Franconian (Fränkisch) and Bavarian (Bayrisch). There's also (Yiddish), (Gaelic,) (Pennsylvanian ) . I gave up trying to learn German it depends on what part of Germany you're from rather or not you can understand each other. Norwegian, Swiss Belgian, Swedish, Estonian is also different.
I came here to learn German, I ended up asked out to a dinner in another language. Sweet. And they say German is a harsh language. Well no other language asked me out on a dinner.
Somehow without the pressure of a teacher waiting for my response I was able to speak more quickly and confidently! (I went rogue and made up my own responses)

@@Naoual_Faiz Im no expert; but my method worked very well so far. I use duolingo (not because its particularly good, but because its free) to get german words in my head. After a couple months of learning with just this, i started playing videogames with german speakers to get practice. Right now, i get much practice from playing fortnite with native speakers while also using duolingo daily. If im ever wondering a word, i use googletranslate and then i try to remember it as best i can. One good thing to do is compile all words u learn with duolingo/ Google translate on a google doc and review it occasionally. Thats how im doing it; i hope u find this helpful! :)

Hey, Just like in English there are a number of different words to say something is great or good. You could use "toll", "super" or even "großartig" and "ausgezeichnet".

The first german phrases i memorized to say with a smile just to get me by are "ich weiss nicht", "Keine ahnung" and "ich spreche kein deutsch" 😂
